My favorite book plot wise and character wise was Valerius's. So much happened in there to advance the plot of the series and Val rocks =P

Valerius's book is one ofmy favorite's but I actually like Amanda and Kyrians book the most. My all around opinion on all of the books is that their actually kind of boring. Don't get me wrong, I can spend hours reading them but that's because of my interest in the Dark-Hunter universe and New Orleans. They're well written too, just kind of boring, it's like every other second their having sex. The main charcters are either having sex or fighting Daimons... Maybe add some friends into the mix on the human side? Or even the DH side? Wren's book is one of the best. It involves her friends for some of the important parts in the book. Where as Zarek's book (while totally kick a**) takes place, for a majority of the time in what's-her-name's cabin in the middle of nowhere.(I haven't read that book in awhile, what is her name? Astrid? Sorry, still don't own it and I'm to lazy to look it up). Wulf's book is pretty cool to. It involves her (Don't remember her name either) friends for most of it (Even if it is really a Artemis sent body guard). It adds family she didn't know was alive and other characters from the Daimon society.

Yeah, i know what u mean about the every other second thing. for the earlier books, it was always around page 80 and in the newer books, it's not until around page 200 =P lol, yes i kept track of that somehow.
in terms of ppl involved, i think that The Dream Hunter has to rank pretty high up there since it does take place on the ship for the majority of the time with Tory, Thia, and others, and then there's always Solin hanging around Arik and Geary.
Val's book has a lot of ppl too, but it is mostly Val and Tabitha. Like at the end with the huge group of ppl, like all the New Orleans characters are involved which was kool.
I didn't like Zarek's book. Astrid was kinda kool, but the dude buged me. A lot of ppl love him, but i think i'll pass.
I can't wait to see what happens in Ash's. There's got to be a ton of ppl involved since we get to find out about his past and present -squeels-
I also liked Devil May Cry. It wasn't just Kat and Sin the whole time, which was nice.
I hate to admit it, but I only recall 2 scenes from Kyrians and Amanda's book... and they aren't plot points really... lol

I'd have to agree with you guys but I love Zarek's and Val's books. Through lately I've noticed that her books seem to repeating I suppose. I like Upon a Midnight Clear but it just lacked what her other Dream-hunter books had. Dragonswain and Fantasy Lover were awesome. Her Were-Hunter books and Dark-hunter books have more to offer than her recent Dream-Hunter books beside Dream-Hunter where Ash's girl is introduced so Kenyon says. But I think Upon a Midnight Clear was to short and the big letters aren't going to make up for that loss.
What really urks me is that her Dark-Hunter books are now only available in hardback till months later. GRRRR. Her past works on the Dark-Hunter series were beautiful and funny but it seems that since she has so many series out it costing her on her famed Dark-Hunter series, in my opinion.

I feel i have to disagree with you on part of that. The books are not repeating all that much. Sin's, for example, was completely different from all the others. We had a totally new branch of demons to add something to the series. We had a totally new set of characters introduced. On top of that, most of the recent books have been set outside of New Orleans, which adds a totally new enviroment. The earlier ones were all set in the same place, and eveyone knew each other and the plots were much more similar: Dark Hunters finding love and going free. They fought daimions and that was it, minus the evil dude that begins with a D that reminds me of a Star Wars character for some reason. Now we have the Dolophoni, the Gimme (is that right sp?), and Shpi thing as well as the simple old Daimion. Ravyn's book, the first one i ever read, is different from all hte other werehunter books. The characters have all evolved significantly since the early ones. Idk, i just feel that the newer ones are better than the old. There's more plot in them than the early ones.

The new characters are good and I agree somewhat but her recent book was to short. Big words and the falling in love thing was to instant. At least with the old ones they didn't fall in love instantly. I think that she could have done better. I love her books and I was happy that she introduced new baddies and new characters. And Ash's daughter being told was way cool. But still some parts do repeat themselves.

I actually like Zarek. His sense of humor is wicked cool. As for the books being repetitive, some idea's are, but not the books as a whole. And as for sex scene's, I don't know about 200, Upon the Midnight Clear happens in the 100's. But I'm only half-way finished and I like it so far. Though there is a marginal loss since it mostly takes place in a snow storm in his house (Sound familiar from Zarek's book?) or in his dreams (Again, same note) You get a couple of gods in and out but only briefly. And I don't know anything about her works only being in hardback now. Every book I own is Paperback, and everyone I've ever seen but Devil May Cry was paperback. I have a feeling that if not for Katrina all of the books would take place in New Orleans. After Ravyn's book very few center there and neither does Ravyn's. More of the recent books give new enemies, be it demon or god. So it does add a bit of veriety. And I do agree that the books do seem to carry more plot, but just as much sex as ever.
As for not falling in love immediately, they all do that. It starts with them meeting, both get turned on by the other, they fight alittle, or exchange words ignoring the pull and then boom, they have sex and are in love. Yes, Katra(is that right?) being introduced as Ash's daughter made me go "WOOHOO!" cuz up to that point she had been hinting at stuff like that, like when Katra goes to heal Ash after Desiderius's attack she thinks to herself, 'You'll know me one day' or somehting like that. I was like wait, why should he know you? Do you like him but are forbidden because of Artie? Is something going on we don't know? Well now I know.

Okay point taken. But now that Kat was introduced as Ash's daughter was awesome! But when where trying to guess who Ash would end up with kinda scares me simply because many thought it would be Kat. EWWWWW! *feels sick to the stomach.* But who do you think Ash will end up with? I believe it's Cynthia- spelling right?. She could pass as Artemis doppleganger, minus the personality. She was to introduced in The Dream-Hunter. As for the other books Zarek's was beautiful. It was sad and just dragged you into the story I cried the first time I read it.
Val's book is awesome simply Tabitha was not your normal heroine. She could actually say she kick his a** so to speak and even staked him. Heheheheheh. But the older ones were the best so far. The plots are good so far but I still think Upon a Midnight Clear could had more. The books that hang around New Orleans had more to offer sadly minus a few. I just think Upon a Midnight Clear was meant to be one of her anthologies. Hopefully Dream Chaser will be better. I was a little disappointed in Upon a Midnight Clear. It just seemed to concerntate more on his anger than the characters themselves.

I have to agree, Upon the Midnight Clear was far too short and really didn't have much going for it. There was little plot development in terms of the series... she could have done better.
Kat as Ash's daughter surprised me. I was so positive she was going to be his lover, mainly because of the seen in Valerius's book. Well, i'm NOT pairing them together anymore =D instead, i truely believe that Ash is meant to be with Tory from the Dream Hunter book. I don't know about anyone else, but Thia annoyed the crap out of me. If Sherri pairs Ash with her, I will probably stop reading the series...
I got bored last night and wasn't feeling all too tired, so i started re-reading Val's book. -squee- tis just as great the second time around.

I don't know where you guys get that Upon the Midnight Clear was short. I read all of her books in just under three hours. As for who I think Ash will end up with... I need to get my book back from a friend to go through the characters.

Compare the font size for Upon the midnight clear to any of her other books. Its HUGE!!! it took like 10 seconds to read a page, and that's with reading slowly!

here here. It me only about an hour or so to read the entire books. Ayllissa Day had more to offer with her The Black Dragon than Upon a Midnight Clear. At least with her new books the writing is small and has way more pages. But enough about that. Her new booklet comes out this month if I'm correct and I think that Sherrilyn will have a manga preview in it for her Dark-Hunters. I read some where that someone bot a picture of Ash as Manga. I bet he looked awesome.
What do you guys think? Do think Dark-Hunters would be cool as mangas? And do you think that it would be a series or sepreated like her books? If it does become a manga I hope it's alot better than Christan Feehan's one. No offense. I love the series but the manga needed alot of work. To many harsh lines and well, pretty much the story sucked! The book was much better. But this topic isn't about other aurthors. sorry. I'll try to stay on topic.
So what do you guys think?

I couldn't really care if it was a seperated book or a series for manga. I wouldn't even care if the drawing or story sucked. I'd buy the manga just for the novelty of having it.

I must say I agree. I'll buy them just for the sake of having them. I know there are LOA graphic novels in the works, but idk about dark hunter ones being set for release any time soon. i hope so, cause there is a pic of Ash in graphic novel format... they forgot his backpack tho... and he doesn't look like how i always pictured Ash to look. -tear- maybe i'm just mistaking it for something else. who knows.
