Welcome all to this underwater world of syrin. Here lies a grand river in which there are caverns, small reefs, and maybe even some underwater ruins...? Plus, it does connect into the sea so the syrins can swim using this main water route. So let's dive in and see what'll happen, shall we? 3nodding
{I'll be using Damien. Just a couple of rules though,
1.Be respectful to everyone
2.Try to keep posts at least 3 lines long.
3.Use () or such when talking outside the rp subject.
And one more thing....all syrin welcome! blaugh }
Intro:
It all started with a small harpy boy and there Damien had met up with Aria whom had finally hatched from her egg form. So far she doesn't know that he saw and helped her some as an egg...but right now after dashing away in an attempt at a game, Damien ends up losing Aria who gets hurt in her attempt to catch him. So after returning and helping her...he has agreed to teach her to swim in the river.

 Aria followed Damien as he led her to an open space. It was as pretty as all the other places he had shown her before. "Wow! This is great! Thanks again. I hope I can swim really well soon so then I can catch you!"

 The syrin boy looked around him, here the water was warm with the ocean currents and underneath in the bottoms he could just visualize the colorful schools of fish and the small caves that made such interesting mazes. His heart longed to hit the ocean soon but he had to focus on the task at hand.
The task at hand.... Returning to the conversation Damien smirked at Aria, "Just focus on becoming a good swimmer. After all no one can ever catch me." He held out his arms, "Find some balance first so that you can float with your tail stretched out like this." His fin barely moved as he floated in the water.

Aria frowned and stuck her tongue out trying to concentrate. Her fin was out like his, but hers wobbled too much. She ended up somersaulting and staring at a coral reef. "Shiney!" She commented.
She looked at Damien and then frowned. He was being nice and teaching her how to swim. She flipped over and tried once more. She almost had the hang of it even if her fin moved a little more than his.

"There." He smiled, "You about have it." Taking great care he swam behind her and held out her arms, "This might help you find some balance to work with." He informed while supporting her. "See?" Letting go he left her on her own with that while slowly floating on his back. "When you find some balance you can learn how to do this next." He swam back behind her, "Lean back and I'll gently lay you on top of the water." He stated holding out his arms.

Aria Smiled as he helped her. "I got it! I got it!" She squeed as she got the floating down. It wasn't as perfect as Damien but it was the closest she was able to get.
"I think I'm ready!" She said looking at him her eyes sparkling. "That looks fun!"

"Alright then." Damien stated from behind after another laugh at her excitement, "If you trust me enough now fall backwards and I'll catch you so I can lay you down on the water." He paused, "Don't worry if you mess up I'll catch you and we'll try again."

Aria had a flicker of doubt. She wasn't sure about falling. It hurt to do belly flops so wouldn't it hurt to do back flops also? Just as she was contemplating the hurting issues she lost her balance and fell backwards. "Oh!" She said too calmly as Damien caught her. "You actually caught me! I-I-" She blushed, "I didn't think you would!"

"Why wouldn't I?" Replied Damien calmly as he slowly lowered her onto the water. Looking up he checked the weather...no wind and the water was calm, perfect. "Don't move, Aria." He whispered slowly lowering her to where she touched the water and he moved back. Would she be able to do it?

Aria was an expert at staying still. She never understood why people had trouble with it. As she lay on the water she looked at the sky. So blue like her fin yet so peaceful and calming.
Very curious she asked, "How am I doing?" She rolled over trying to look at him but she fell in. "Oh!" She sputtered as she resurfaced. She couldn't help but laugh. She didn't expect herself to be able to sleep on the water now.

"Well...let's say you were doing good." Damien splashed when he quickly turned around thinking. For some reason he felt jumpy...but the sky was clear and nothing seemed amiss so he returned to the task at hand. "Let's see...diving...how quick are you when it comes to going under?"

Aria just smiled. She was great at diving. That was one of the things she taught herself how to do to get underwater as quickly as possible. "ok!" She spoked as she took her dive. For some reason it wasnt as smooth as the others and it was pore splashy. Was it supposed to be like this?

"Concentrate." Instructed Damien as he went under with her. "Focus, I'm sure you can already do this." He smiled kindly, "I understand. I made a couple of mistakes when diving before, myself." With a spin he silently head back up to the surface.

Thinking very hard, Aria continued to try. Some were better than others while some were so noisy the harpies in the sky could problely hear her. Before she was ready to give up she reminded herself of the burning passion to find out what Damien knew. With a final attempt before being completely worn out she tried once more.
As she focused on what she wanted she through more about what splashed. It was her tail, it flapped about instead of staying straight! So As she dove she kept her tail rigid and slid in to the water noiselessly. Yawning she turned to Damien. "How did I do?"

Damien sighed as she kept splashing but finally when he saw that she had figured out the problem on her own, he clapped. "Great. As long as you remember to keep your tail straight and rigid when you dive, you're good."
He paused thinking, "How good are you at turning at sharp curves underwater?" He finally asked as he slowly swam near a undersea cliff with a small boulder.
