 Neri yawned as she lounged apon the ocean's floor, her pelt made her hard to spot as she matched the ground. A few feet from the shore line she was basking in the sunlight that filtered through the water's waves. The mer soquili was completely bored. She wanted to climb apon Uncle Atum's back again, look over his world as he flew around...It was so different and beautiful but he woun't talk her. "You'll dry out, Neri...You must remain in the water." The wing soquili's words rang through her head. Why was she born with fins and a tail? The surface lands were so much funner...The greens and browns...Her world was just...Boring old blue.

 the black and white orca colored mer colt stood out at times when he roamed about searching for somethign to eat or out of boredom when he would take time to do so while his sister slept or searchedlike he did. Sakkah snorted and as he did so a few bubbles came from his nose. oh he would never go to the surface and it was one thing he wasnt willign to rick doing and made sure his twin sister wouldn't go up their ether. at this moment he was nosing around some kelp, anddidnt knwo he was about to run into another mer just like him.

The shark mer let out a scream as Sakkah's nose brushed against her as he nosed the kelp. The filly shot up from her resting place, swimming about five feet up before looking back to see..A boy..A boy mer...A boy mer with a dorsal fin like she had...His tail was different from hers but...She hadn't met another mer before. He hold deminer changed as she swam back to the orca mer. "Hi!!! I'm Neri!!" The shark mer circled around the other mer.

Sakkah about freaked out himself and he bared his teeth as he looked about for who made a scream. blinking as suddenly a female mer swam up to him. wrinkling he nose he now figured it had been her that made the noise and whom he had brushed up against. calming he eyed her. " im Sakkah. i guess its nice to meet you even if your screaming freaked me out." having had no parents he wasnt exsactly one with mannors and by they way he held hismelf he definatly showed how prideful he was.

"Sorry for screaming..I was trying to nap and when you feel something touch you it's scary!" Neri had always been a screamer, even in her shell. If anyone but Atum touched her little home, she'd scream. Being outside was no different. Neri tilted her head at Sakkah, so much that she tilted herself over and now was swimming upside down around Sakkah. Though he was being...A bit rude in her mind, but the playful mer was not going to let this other mer go without having a little fun! "Wanna play?" The mer asked..Upside down.

" i suppose your right." although Sakkah would never admit it, he would have been scared if somethign brushed up against him in his sleep at random though he was use to being with his twin sister. he blinked at her as she tilted too much to now be upside down which caused him to tilt his head slightly. " depends on the game and i guess it wouldnt hurt to play even though i should be with my sister." giving a nod, he wondered what she wanted to play and his sister could wait for a little while he supposed.

"Ummm..I was hoping you could tell me...Your the first mer I've ever meet." The shark mer said a bit embarssed. The oceans were so big that unless she stayed with him there wasn't much of a chance of seeing Sakkah again...Unless they were friends, that is.
"I've only ever played with Uncle Atum...And he's a land dweller so I don't get to see him much....The surface world has such beautiful colours this time of year...Oranges, reds and yellows..." The mer slipped into a dreamy like state, remeber want Atum had shown her.

Sakkah blinked in surpise as she talked of the surface which caused him to wrinkle his nose. " never been on the sureface and don't ever plan too." gruntting, he gave a shrug about how she never really played before. " i only have ever played with my twin sister and besides my sister i only know a kelp." he scrunced up his face as he mentioned the kelp Zulu who had got him all riled up about his sister possibly leaving him. " but anyways i guess we could play like tag or something." giving a snort that caused bubbles to come from his nose, she was the first mer other than his sister that he had met.
