The young teenage ebony male had found the darkest of mud in the shadows of the thick woods and lathered it up on all of the white in his dark hide. He had kept up with his brother and only cared to, however the long legged, almost sprinter like, muscled male liked the shadows he converged into.
Adolfo had found that in the darkest of the forest in the pack lands, nothing could sneak up on him. It was as if the air around him gave off the warning and cared the scent straight to the black nose in her face. In fact, with this odd talent the male rarely had to go find his over proud father and sickly depressed mother for food. He had lived in these woods since the day he wandered out of the new 'family' den.
Bah, Family, right, the male thought as his bright emerald eyes flickered about in the dancing shadows. The only family he had was the pack and his blood brother, and that was all the ebony and ivory teen needed. Well besides the comfort of his dark home.
Hair standing up on the nape of his neck, someone was entering the woods, Oh, thinking of his brother, here he comes. The black and muddy tipped tail swayed happily at the thought of his brother. Moving with the silence of a trained hunter and over course one that could see in the blackest of night, the young male moved swiftly through the trees towards where his brother was moving.

The brightly orange colored wolf, had missed his brother terribly. He hadnt laid eyes on him in so long, and the thought of searching for him now, made Wazaam's heart pound faster.
He walked through the little forest, sure that this was indeed where Twist said his family resided now.. He hadnt seen his family since the joining of the pack. Everyone was always off doing their own things.. But now, he was going to rejoin his brother. His adult mind was spinning in his teenage body. Being put through so much at such a young age, Wazaam had missed out on a truly happy childhood. He had lost his youth, now he was in the mindset of a true wolf.
His paws pounded through the mud, as he tried desperately for it to not cling to his orange pelt.
"Adolfo?" His voice rang out, much like the gruff voice their father had.
Where the hell had he gone? Wazaam started sniffing the air closely. Scenting whatever it was to be scented. "But it smells so much like him here.."

Regrettably, as Adolfo moved silently through the dark shadows that clung to him and spread his scent out in a confusing blanket across the whole ground. The young male too had aged quicker then most youth should, after all he had a lousy supporter in a father and the mother he had could barely hold up her own head.
The dark mud that stayed on the ivory fur in his ebony coat, the emerald eyes sparked at the sight of his bright orange brother. Had it been one of his sisters or his father the male would have used the shadows to his advantage, either to scare them out of 'his' woods or to avoid them all together.
The sharp mind of the eldest sibling could feel that his brother was stronger then ever and possessed a greater self-esteem. Trotting up to the orange sibling in the soft pawed gate of only a stealth wolf, Adolfo allowed some light to flicker off of his bright eyes.
"Good afternoon, brother...or at least I believe it's afternoon outside these midnight woods."
Adolfo greeted his sibling with a warm smile and let the shadows drift about on their own merry way. Looking his only family up and down, the male had yet to really meet another in the pack, it seemed like there was rarely anyone in the forest besides a pink she-wolf that walked through the lighter edge.
"How have you been?" Adolfo asked in a sophisticated voice far older then his seasons to actually know how to properly portray as he was. "You sound like an alpha," the ebony brother commented swishing his tail about behind himself in the light shadows at the edge of the trees.

Wazaam couldnt help but wag his tail at the sight of the one he had been trying to find. His emerald orbs, much like Adolfo's own, gleamed as he ran to his brother, nuzzling him all over.
Wazaam was very independent [excluding Twist], and still, he had the affection of a puppy for his brother.
Licking his brothers snout, he stood proud, and strong.
"Brother! But I am. I am the Alpha male of this great pack.." He grinned.
"You really should travel with me. Be my brother and follow me always. I can get you in rank, and you can meet the one who completely changed my life for me."
He smiled. How he loved his blood.

Feeling his brother's wet nose press against his mud covered face made Adolfo smile wider. Ah, he missed his brother like one would miss their legs or heart. Through the seasonal change in the outsirts of the pack the large sprinter like teen had his thickening fur for his first winter.
Tail going nuts, so much so that mud was flung off the ivory end. Even in the way older tone, the brother just couldn't help but feel truly happy for his sibling.
"That is amazing news, Wazaam," he gave a wolfish smile at his sibling. Since having moved out of "his" father's den, Adolfo was pretty much a solitary wolf, he needed nobody to survive and he liked it that way. Well except of course the only blood that stuck with him through the thick and thin of the family falling apart.
Taking a big sniff of his sibling, he caught the scent of a dominate female scent. "Alpha male, that only would make sense that you would have the scent of the Alpha female of these lands on your coat."
Wait a minute! "Wazaam, you already have a mate!" The brother couldn't hold back the shock and pride that he had for his sibling. This would be great news, hope for even the solitary older brother my five minutes that loved his brother like a vital organ in his ebony and ivory body.
Though the thought of leaving the trees and his shadows behind, something with in his sanctuary told him to go with his brother and meet this Twist. "I remember you mentioning our alpha before..." Adolfo paused when he heard Wazaam's words.
"Oh, but brother, I'll always be your ally. No one could change that mind set in me for my life. I don't care what any one soul would say, or for that matter the shadow...which is quiet strange really." Adolfo trailed off, not since that bear in the woods back home had the young teen actually remembered about the odd gift he had with darkness.

Wazaam wagged his tail, happy to know that his brother was loyal to him, though it wasnt something he had ever questioned, it felt good to be reassured. Smiling, he licked his brothers muzzle, letting all his muscles work as he jumped around the other wolf.
"Adolfo, so much has changed since we came here! We became something, you and I. We became.. Successful. Father would love to see us now. Cause I bet our sisters are not coming anywhere close to our achievements."
He said, though in his heart he knew his father would see his Alpha status as something he had trained him for. He wouldnt be excited for the young wolf. He'd be accepting.
Throwing his head back, and giving a little howl to the sky, he smiled.
"Yes brother! I indeed have a mate. The same lovely who took me in so long ago, when she could have very well killed me for wandering into her pack."
Wazaam didnt fear Twist at all, and even though the rumors were flying through like crazy, he ignored every one. It wasnt something to think about. Twist was his everything, and what Twist wasnt, Adolfo was.
"Allies we shall be, brother. Fighting until the end, side by side, as true wolves should always do. As a pack should do. " Wazaam's eyes grew sour as he said his next sentence.
"As all family should have done.."

With the brightest smile that the dark ebony and mud cladded wolf could muster his tail was waving back and forth madly. Looking at his brother and listening to the words of success and the thought of their father being approving. That would have made the young adolescent happy at one point, but now he didn't even really care if his father had choked on a elk bone.
"Our sister are probably bounding around the cliffs like pups still and in need of our father's constant supervision. They will never be independent like us." Adolfo gave off a dry laugh and looked at his brother with a modest smile when the other was done howling.
"As for the mate, congratulations. You've been working with others, I can see that plain as day on your coat. The complete opposite of what I've been doing. I've just been here working on perfecting stealth and blending into the darkness alone." Adolfo wasn't sad about his lack of socializing, in fact, he found that the solitary training was to his benefit even if that meant not watching and standing by his brother.
The emerald orbs just shimmered at the idea of being side beside his brother, though he knew that the right hand side would be reserved for the one know as Twist. After all mates normal stuck together.
"Well brother, I would gladly go meet my Alpha female of your pack. Maybe she would understand the odd sight that I have in this dark land. But fair warning, I'm not use to the bright light of the day any more. I've really turned nocturnal, as you could see with the midnight blackness around us."
