Well, I'm new and although this topic is a bit away from Latin problems I submitted it. xd I have no problems with my texts I will open a thread when I have some 3nodding
What's your level in Latin? How long have you been learning it? Are there many people disliking Latin at your school or is it rather popular? biggrin

Second year advance university latin.
Eleven people in the class, out of 120 or so who took it first year.
Kirk Douglas is in my class, as well as Zedka.

You know, the poll is hard for me to answer. I would think that I like Latin poetry for the fact that it ~isn't~ Cicero. However, I do find speeches to be an easier sail for format and grammatical sake.
I'm in 300-level Latin in college and took it for my Classics degree in language (having taken Greek first). Latin was only offered in my high school until the end of my freshman year, but I had decided to take German anyway. Originally I thought I could take Latin to teach it, then go to the Board of my school and pitch a plan to teach it again, but... Latin and I do not get along.
As for people liking Latin... Well, those who take it first (before Greek, that is) like Latin quite a bit. We have three people (including myself) at the 400-level Greek and sixteen or seventeen people in the 300-level Latin. *shrugs* Latin certainly has the advantage at my college rolleyes

I've been learning since we started homeschooling what...five years ago? The first few year were annoying 'cause our mom was treating us like little kids and making us use the Latina Christiana programme. Now we use Henle and Wheelock's so it's not so bad anymore. blaugh My brother and I want to speak Latin around the house so bad, but we're not fluent enough thanks to those first three or four years.

I start my second semester of Latin 1 tomorrow. It's an online class, so it isn't interactive as other classes; but I'm doing quite well so far. We've only learned the First and Second declension, so I can't translate a lot yet. But everything we've done so far has been pretty easy.

I am in Latin Three, and though that would almost put me at the top of my high school level-wise, I think that I am very bad at it. My teacher tells me that I am very good though. My certamen team (Upper B-team) usually makes on average 45 points, while the Upper A-team generally makes somewhere in the 300s or so.

I'm now in the 3rd quarter of Latin, and we just made roman roads out of different candies, and had fun. I also found that there are many English curse words in Latin. eek Otherwise, Latin's awsome.
