Wait for it. Wait for it..... Pounce! But the two crickets went their separate ways, each avoiding the strike. Nadeshiko pouted, puffing out her chest indignantly. With the seasons becoming so much colder, it was hard to find wildlife friends to play with. And what was she supposed to do when they ran? Didn't these crickets understand the idea of play? They were ruining the whole dynamic! "No, no!" She shouted, bounding after one of the crickets as it hopped out of the grass and back down. Up and down. "Cricket is supposed to let Nadeshiko catch Cricket!"
Another attempted pounce or two later, she'd lost sight of the bug. It'd escaped her sight in a pile of dead leaves. Heaving a dramatic sigh, she plopped down on her rump, staring forlornly at the pile of leaves (or rather, the now spread out leaves) after she'd searched through it. No luck at all. Tails swished around to cover her paws against the elements. No fun at all, either.

Taking a brisk walk down the forest path, Yajuu yawned in an odd way..she would switch animal yawns so often, this tme choosing cheetah. Her green eye speckled in the light, and her fur ruffled where it could.
She was quite bored...not only of the home she took of, but this whole day. Maybe something new would happen..hopefully something that wouldn't make her angry...

More staring at the leaves had brought no more playmates. The now bored femme blew a childish raspberry at where she'd last seen the cricket. "Fine, Nadeshiko didn't want to play with Cricket, anyway." Pushing herself to a stand, she shook out her pelt, the wind of her action sending a leaf or two flopping lazily away from her. Now what to do, now what to do? Maybe find Nakawara. Yes, her little brother would provide her with entertainment. It'd only been... Well, she had no ability to track time, but it hadn't been that long since she'd last seen him, right?
Leaving the clearing she currently inhabited, she pressed on through the trees. The paths around here were well-worn with travel and easy to follow. She'd been warned to stay on the popular trails and she tried her best to remember to follow the instructions. Hearing a rustling overhead, she stopped, ears flicking forward. Then another rustling, not far off, but definitely on the ground this time. "Nadeshiko hears you!" she called out, tails flicking to life. There was no telling what she was actually talking to, but she paid little mind to that.

Stopping, she stared back to the direction of the voice. She was cautious..even though they didn't sound too bad..
Her eyes thinned, and she turned around, "And what if you do? Yajuu isn't afraid of you..", she growled, stomping the ground with her paws. "Yah, yah.."
She did act a little uncivilized at times, but..there was no way to blame her. Calming down, she shook her head. "Ahh..Yajuu stupid...I'm still not afraid of you..so come out now!"

Yajuu? That made things easier for her, anyway. "Nadeshiko is not afraid of Yajuu, either!" she called back, looking around intently. Cyan eyes flashed as she spun on her paws, trying her best to figure out where the voice was coming from. However, the sounds bounced between the trees and echoed slightly, making it very difficult for her less than advanced mind.
"Nadeshiko does not know where to come out of!" she whined, finally picking a direction and stepping forward. A few feet later, still nothing. "Hellooo?" Shoulders drooped. She felt so confused.
