The orange pelted pup had grown since the last time he had run off on his own. He was now a skinny little teenager, with the spirit of a fully grown wolf.
He did his job even as a teen. He was still working into the pack rank, but even he knew th at Twist had big plans for him. He just wasnt sure how far those plans stretched.
He no longer saw Twist as the mother, but as his alpha. As his master. He did what she asked, and answered her every call. Twist went without nothing, all because Wazaam knew he could get it for her if he so tried.
Wagging his brightly colored tail, green orbs peered into the cave of Twist. After all, He'd been told to meet her here when the sun hit the top of the sky, and it indeed was at teh top now.
"Twist?" He called, barking a bit inside the cave.

The Alphis rested in the cave in a light slumber. She had barly remebered that she was to meet Wazzam that day and so was gruffly startled as she heard somebody calling her name. With her auds cracking ever so much she grumbled lightly to herself, If it's not important I'm going to kill the brute thats outside the cave. Nobody disturbs my sleep in the morning... With that she slowly streched her way up towards the mouth of the cave. Her low brow furled in anger; it was only until she saw it was Wazzam sis her entire pressence change.
"Ah Wazzam! It's great to see you here." She went over and gave the young male an affectionate nuzzle and a lick on the head. "I'm not really a morning person but for you I could be." She gave a wink and a chuckle as she was relived it wasn't that grusom pink mutt that kept bothering her. Oh god did she dispise her- yes she did give her some slight comfort but for the most part her pressence was really disconcerning. Sighing inwardly she would be glad to chase her out and leave her to the 'lynx's' as some would like to rephase a popular sentence.
It wasn't like it would be difficult to convince the others either. She didn't seem to show much fondness for any of them, plus Twist wasn't oblivious to the fact that Alas was always gone and when she returned reaked of other wolves that didn't belong to her pack- no matter how well she attempted to hide it.

Wazaam smiled and his tail wagged as Twist came to the front of the den, and nuzzled him. He gave another little bark, and spoke softly.
"Forgive me for distubing your slumber, Twist. I am sorry."
He said, entering the cave that she was retreating back into. He hoped she had meant for him to follow.
Morning wolf? Ah, he had never met one before. He had always been in teh company of fellows who adored their sleep, and valued it moreso than the pack.
If the pack was at stake, he'd be awake. That was certain.
"You told me to meet you here, my friend." He said, as if offering an explanation as to why he was indeed here at such an early time.
"I can come back later if you wish."

She chuckled as she sat further in the mouth of the cave. A light smile crossed uopn her maw. "No my friend there is not a reason for you to go. If you spent all this trouble getting up here I don't want you taking all that trouble to go back again- expecially on matters like these." She paused her voice becoming more solom and intense.
"I'm sure you've met Alas- our healer..." She started off with a slow pause looking dead into Wazzam's eyes. "Well there is something troubling me about her- and I'm sure if you've talked to her...it has bothered you as well." Again she stopped and took another long pause- then from behind her took some of the meat she seamed to have been chewing on and slid it over to Wazzam.
"She also smells of other wolves- wolves that are not from our pack. You might not notice it...but my trained nose can detect it. She mearly trys to hide it with the salt water- but I've lived here more then enough to know the difference better ocean and wolf." Again her face seamed to sink in more with a deeper amount of concentration. "She thinks I don't know this and that she has me fooled. Though I don't know what she is up to in this other 'pack' but I can only figure it's not good. You being my most trusted partner- I need you to do me a favor..." She trailed off at those words and smiled up at him with the warmth of a mother.

The tail of the bright Teen stopped wagging, and fell to his haunches. Ah, he indeed had issues after meeting Alas. She had worried him, and spoken to him of love and caring.
She had told him to love his family.. And she had insulted him by asking if he loved his pack. Giving an angry look to the ground as he was concentrating, he growled a bit.
"Aye, I've met her.. I cant say I liked her.."
Wazaam's eyes met those of Twists, and he looked serious as well. Dead solemn and wise beyond his years,
"She spoke to me of family and love.. Of the pack.. She even dared ask if I loved the pack.. Or if I loved you. I wanted to rip out her throat.. But that wouldnt do."
He said, looking back at the ground. How he had hated that Alas had mentioned that. She had accidently written herself away in teh Bad List that he kept in his head.
"Wolves?" A quizical look crossed his features only briefly. So the fiend was conversing with other wolves? She could be planning their very demise right this second. Traitor.. Wazaam had instantly marked her off as a traitor now.. She would never be in good graces with the orange pelted wolf.
"Tell me."

Twist's smile seam to widen as Wazzam seamed to share her opinions. Ah everything is falling into place piece by piece...perfect. She nodded at the young males word. "Ah yes you should have love for your family but the family YOU choose. Nobody should be forced to love anyone just because they are related by blood. If that was the case nobody would find mates and we would all interbreed making a terrible mess..." She slightly chuckled at that last though knowing of lines that were straight instead of looking like trees- what a mess those poor souls turned out to be. Those were usally the ones to loose there minds the quickest; and ended up dying the fastest.
"What I'm trying to say- as long as you love your mate...and the puppies you have raised or will raise- in your case. Then there is no need to love anyone else. For those two factors alone will return everything your parents have forgotten to give you twicefold. And it's YOUR choice not anybody's elses. You need to be free and not caged like a bird; thats all parents do- expecially when they don't love you." She came closer to him again her warmth radiating all around her. "But I love you Wazzam and that's all that you need to remeber." Again she nuzzled the side of his face like only a mother should and wuffled at him with the most adorning tone.

Wazaam's little heart beat wildly. So very few had ever told him they loved him.. In fact, he had heard it once before. So Love? Ha, All he needed was Twist, and if she was where love was coming from, then all the power to him.
Wazaam thought of her words, and analyzed them thoroughly before deciding she was right. If his family didnt love him, then he saw no reason at all to love them in return.
His success and happiness wasnt coming from his family, it was coming from his pack, and when he thought pack, he didnt see them as a whole. He saw Twist, and her lovely shaded pelt, and her gloriously lovely eyes.
He was just like his father. He had never realized it, but the protective dominance thing, he had down to a T.
"What did you need my help with, Alpha?" He said, giving her a good nuzzle of her muzzle. He had to be careful that she didnt see him as being near her throat as a threat.

Frankly Twist did something quite out of charater as Wazzam nuzzled her back. With a small motion and a flick of her tail she was on her back like a playful puppy in the most submission position. "Don't worry I trust you my dear Wazzam." She seam to yip back as she moved her head revieling her soft tender neck. Even if he did do something stupid and charge at her though- which she doubted because he was so wrapped around her; she could easily spring her body back up into action.
"I need your help with the traitorus Alas..." She blinked her silver eyes at Wazzam as her tail beat onto the ground with muffled 'wumps' "I need you to exploit her to the pack for the traitor she is- but not at this moment. Right now I just need you to be her friend- find out where she's been running off to. Be my spy. Then when the time comes- if WE still feel she isn't loyal to the pack- to OUR family. Then she will be delt with swiftly and severely."
Honestly though she was just waiting for the rest of Kattana's litter to grow up. Because if she chased off Alas too early then she would never be able to introduce Algoma as the general of the pack. This mainly being that Kattana and Rome would sence a muitiny because of there troubled past. So unfortualy it was now a waiting game. But all too soon the peices would fit into place. And all too soon she would have nobody but loyal members in her pack. And maybe spawn of her own...she looked over to Wazzam. She might have finally found her Alpha pawn.

Wazaam's eyes grew ever wider. More green showed from them than normal. She had just rolled over to play Submissive. Alphas didnt do that unless.
No, that was too much thinking on his part. She knew he would do nothing stupid, and he knew it as well. Thats why she presented herself. He nuzzled her throat gently, offering the same comfort she always gave him.
His own tail thumped against the ground as he watched her. He was still young.. but was this pup getting that close to the Alpha?
Smiling, he nodded. Spying wasnt really something he knew too well.. But if Twist was asking, he'd do the m ost heinous thing, and still do it well.
"I will gladly do that for you." He said, speaking to her as if she were his princess. And in all actuality, thats almost how he saw her.

As he accepted the invitation she wuffled even louder to show she was pleased and that she had accepted him as well. "Your different then the others- you remeber that if anyone gives you trouble. You-" She held off the words for awhile and continued to lick at his maw as if he was a parent to her. "-Are above everyone else in the pack offically."
Yes he would make the perfect pawn. And once he swayed his siblings it would make her job even eaiser. He even acts like an alpha with the loyalty he shows the pack- he's the perfect lie. "Thats also why I brought you here...for your premotion. But I wouldn't be giving this to anyone I didn't love; and though we are both young I truely see something special in you my dear Wazzam, my dear alpha."
Her silver eyes blinked several times again and as the light seamed to stream in from the mouth of the cave she almost looked heavenly. "I love you Wazzam."

He stared at the stormy pelted Wolfess for awhile. His eyes wide, and his heart beating wildly again. But his expression was that of complete surprise. Almost as if he didnt deserve it.
"Promotion? Im being pulled to the ranks as.. Alpha?" He could hardly even voice it. He was so thrilled that Twist would see something in him that his own family could never see. What do you think of me now, father? Now that Im above you in so many ways.. Or how about my sisters.. Are they courageous still? He would never insult his mother or Adolpho, but he really needed to get Adolpho into the swing of this stuff.
Maybe he could present Ad with new ranks one day. Oh the possibilities were endless.
"But if Im an alpha.. Does that make you my Alpha female?" He asked, looking at her with the most innocent, but deadly emerald orbs. His voice was taking the gruffness of Romes, and he even was beginning to resemble Rome in ways.
"I love you too, Twist. More than anyone I've ever met.."

She nodded and batted at his muzzle playfully. "Of course it dose silly...why would I pick anyone else other then you to stand by my side?" She grinned and blinked at him a few times. "I saw something special in you the day I met you Wazzam." She rolled slightly over to her side and looked directly into his eyes with all seriousness. "Something very special."
She blinked a few times as her smile grew larger. "But yes your now the alpha of our pack. Do what you see fit to keep the pack safe. There are no boundaries or limits to your power- remeber that if you have any questions on what you need to do; or if you ever feel lost- I will help you. But I don't think that will be nessicary due to the potential I have seen in you, my love." She again stuck her tounge into the air having it dance across his pelt lightly.
"Won't your parents be so proud to see what you have become..." She added as if she ment it as a bate for him to 'show off' persay.

He reveled in her licking his orange pelt, and smiled, whining a bit. He had just been told he was the alpha of a pack. He was an older teen, ,yes.. But he was still young, and he hoped her putting it on his shoulders wouldnt hurt the pack someday.
But then he gave thought and smiled. Course it would never hurt the pack. He'd die, before he'd let the pack get hurt.
"You really did? There was something special?" He asked, asking her in his voice that was so much like he had once been. It was an innocent question, and his eyes were that of his puppy self as well.
If he had been so special, how did no one see it but Twist?
He jumped in place a little, glancing back at the Alpha female.
"I shall make you proud Twist."

"But you already have!" She added in quickly boosting the ego of the young male. The bigger that got the easier he would be to control. And again she flitted her eyelashes at him as if flirting.
"And of course there was something special. It's really ashame I was the only one to see it- but then again nobody thinks of younsters as anything but a pound of flesh. I see them as unlimited potential. Heck nobody took me seriously when I was a pup, and now look what I have become. And look what you've become; just because somebody didn't judge you on your age."
