Kei (10:22:36 PM): Mismatched optics opened to the dawn of a new day and the large male shifted, silver mane falling in his view. It was a surpise to him when he realised he couldnt move as freely due to another curled up beside him. Looking to his side Kei noticed Shiri's figure laying beside him. His heart swelled as he gazed at her golden frame, having almost thought her return to him was a dream. Standning quietly the male stretched and shook his mane free of debree before rubbing his maw agiast Shiri's in an effort to wake her gently. " Shiri..Would you like to head to the river with me?" His rough voice was even more so due to him just waking.

Shiri (10:37:14 PM): Shiri's form barely stirred when the male lifted and began to shake the dirt from his mane. And when he knelt beside her and offered her a good morning nuzzle, the lioness' eyes simply fluttered. The distress and worry that she felt the previous night had certainly put her in a very worn out state. The long walk from the pridelands to the rogue territory outside the borders had never seemed so long and painful. When Kei began to speak, however, Shiri rolled onto her other side, attempting to figure out just what was going on. No longer was her side warm and having come to this realisation, the lioness' eyes opened and she peered around anxiously. "Kei!" Shiri's eyes widened when she noticed the dark male in front of her. Launching forward, the lioness wrapped her paws around his neck and smiled, "..Good Morning..." Her voice was tired, and almost frightened.

Sabira (10:27:57 PM): The morning's light greeted Sabira as she slipped from her dwelling's entrance, her sleek snowing body slinking down onto the grounds she and Jin had claimed for themselves and their clan to be. Icy blue eyes searched the grounds and the tall grasses seemed to call the female. Her stomach grumbled and it was obvious that she was indeed up for an early morning hunt. Moreso, she wanted to get out of their territory to escape the scent of the other female. She wanted time away. There were only two others that lived with her at the moment and already she had begun to feel crowded.

User Image

Jin (10:49:05 PM): As Sabira stepped out from her den, her form caught the attention of a pair of saddened brown optics. Jin sat atop a large rock bordering the hunting grounds, simply enjoying the site of their claimed land. Having caught her scent on the wind, the male turned back in time to see her step out slowly. Jin smiled, but not without wondering just where she was going and whether she thought to seek him out. Remaining where he was, the serval king hoped that Sabira might approach. Jin had spent a rather large amount of time with Sierra, hoping to get her aquainted with their ideas and routines, but now he wished to have Sabira beside him. In truth, even in Sierra's company, Jin wished Sabira would join them. This wish, however, was foolish and the male could tell that Sabira would never become much more friendly than she already was with the orange colored femme. Perhaps if Jin came across a female just as tempermental as Sabira?

Kei (10:40:57 PM): It was a site to watch as Shiri stirred from sleep. She seemed confused at first, most likely just as he had been when he had awoken. The difference was though the sudden spring into action once she had caught site of him. A weight was flung onto him and her paws were about his neck in an embrace. Mis matched optics widened at the sudden movement thoguh he settled quickly, smiling smugly as he lifted a paw and set it on her back to return the gesture. " Good morning to you too, sunshine.. " His husky voice replied.

Shiri (10:44:43 PM): Having just been called Sunshine was simply another reason for the bright colored lioness to beam proudly. She remembered smiling and enjoying her time in the pridelands, similar to how she enjoyed her time with Kei now, but it had not left her stomach fluttering and her cheeks the brightest they could become. When Kei returned the embrace, Shiri's tail waved about behind her signaling her happiness. Hesitant to pull away, but curious about what he had said while she was sleeping, the lioness adjusted her posture and leaned back a bit to get a better look at Kei. She was still tired and raised a paw to wipe the sleep from her eyes, but once she was done, she cleared her throat and questioned him, "What was it that you said earlier..? I'm afraid I didn't quite get it at the time.." She blushed a bit.
PostPosted: Tue Nov 06, 2007 10:59 pm

Kei (10:49:46 PM): The flicking of her tail had Kei laughing gently. It was an amazing feeling to see her so happy. It was as though Kei felt at ease and complete in her sunny presence. After a short moment Shiri let go and took a step back, gazing up at him. Kei tilted his head to the side and offered her a cheesy grin before jerking his head in a gesture of the direction they would be heading. " The river.." He repeated, " I was wondering if you wanted to come to the river."

Shiri (10:58:06 PM): Shiri eyed Kei suspiciously when he began to laugh towards her. She knew that her companion would never laugh at her to hurt her, but she was curious as to what she did to amuse him. Catching his line of site, the lions continued to wave her tail and laugh lightly to herself. She hadn't noticed at first that she even moved her tail at all! In fact, now that she came to think about it, she realised that during each of their meetings, when Kei had come a bit close, the lioness' tail waved about behind her as though with a mind of its own. Shiri continued to blush at the thought. As Kei moved his head towards the river and repeated his question again for Shiri to hear, the lioness nodded quickly. "I would love to follow you to the river." Her voice was soft and still curious. Having only visited a few shallow watering holes in the pridelands, Shiri hadn't a chance to truly enjoy the cold chills of the rivers flowing through the savanna.

Sabira (10:55:35 PM): Sabira seemed to glide as she made her way into the hunting grounds, barely making a noise as she walked. Such a skill came in handy whilst one was hunting. At this thought Sabira paused, catching a familiar scent. At this she looked up, ears erect and swivling in case there was movement. It was not long before she caught sight of the ashened colored male atop a rock just beyond the hunting grounds. A smile appeared on the serval's maw and she continued as she was before, heading right for the male. It didnt take long before she was slwoly circling the rock. " And I thought I woke early.." Her soft voice spoke, light blue eyes fixed on Jin.

Jin (11:05:27 PM): As Sabira floated through the tall grasses on her way towards the hunting grounds, Jin watched her carefully. She moved so swiftly and rather silently, even for a feline. As she continued on, Jin wondered if she had caught site of him. And if she had seen him, would she approach, or continue on her way in order to satisfy an empty stomach. Having witnessed Sabira's skills by watching her hunt and seen Sierra hunt alongside him, Jin longed to aid the beautiful serval in hunting something larger and more satisfying. With three mouths to feed, their hunt could even feed the orange colored serval femme when they returned. Jin laughed at the idea of Sabira sharing her meal with the newcomer. Jin would need to ensure that hunting did not become something possessive. The clan had been created partially to feed those in need. As Sabira continued towards the grounds, she seemed to shift direction and come towards Jin. The king hadn't noticed her look up to him, but by her new route, he assumed she had. "I had a rough night sleeping, worrying about you.." He said gently, as she circled his rock.

Kei (11:13:23 PM): A flick of his own tail finalized the fact that Kei was not laughing at Shiri, simply with her. The truth was he found it amusing. Shiri then agreed to follow along. She was so energetic. Kei smiled as she nodded and he started off in the direction he had previsously pointed out. There was a slight sping in his step, most liekly due to the fact he was standing beside Shiri. " Good. " He said, trotting then towards the river that was not too far off. " You'll love it..." He added, looking to Shiri once more. It seemed since he had awakened he had been unable to keep his gaze off her.

Shiri (11:24:18 PM): Shiri seemed to purr as she walked alongside Kei, pleased to be following his lead. Since she had returned, things between she and Kei were slowly improving. At times the yellow colored lioness could swear that the male looked to her rather painfully, but she hoped that he would heal and learn to trust her again. And while the two of them healed, the lioness would not bring up the issue of the pridelands. She was unsure as to whether or not Kei assumed that she had joined, but until they had strengthened their previous bond, Shiri felt it not neccesary to bring it up again. And while the pride was far from her mind, the lioness continued to grin and follow along. "I am certain I will.. I haven't seen a river in quite some time." As Shiri padded beside Kei, she glanced over every once in awhile to check and see whether or not he glanced towards her. She often felt as though a pair of eyes were watching her, but when she looked over, she didn't catch his gaze. Shiri's cheeks continued to remain pink as they walked.

Once they neared the river that Kei had pointd to, the scent of something caught her nose. Shiri's mouth began to salivate and she glanced about curiously. To her surprise, there were two, smaller, cat-like creatures wandering about. She had heard of servals and had seen the occassional rogue wandering about, but to see two, such oddly colored servals together was something the lioness thought was unheard of.

Sabira (11:17:24 PM): Jin's reply had caught her off gaurd and Sabira stopped before the male, lookign up at him ont he rock. " Worrying about me? " It was the first time someone else had openly voice a concern for her own being. The serval was unsure of how to handle the situation. After a short moment, though, she recovered. " Jin, there was no reason to worry. " Even though Sabira could see why. She knew he had went to spend time with Sierra the past night and she had spent hours trying to force herself to sleep so as she would no longer be thinking of him.

Jin (11:41:32 PM): As Sabira had known, Jin had indeed spent the past few nights in Sierra's company. Whether it was for comfort, warmth, or to continue on his determined quest, was unclear, though Sabira seemed to remain on the male's mind all the while. Hopping down from the rock, Jin urgently rubbed his cheek up against the pale, smaller female's. She had left him too many nights without showing any type of affection and while, it was not expected for her to simply adore him, Jin could not allow their plans to continue against their wills. Using his head to suggest wandering in a particular direction, Jin offered a sheepish smile. It was rather bold of him to admit that he had worried about Sabira, but it was the entire truth. "I worry that you cannot sleep and that things are not as well for you as you may express to me." But before Sabira could speak, Jin cut her off, "But do not worry, I will not second guess you, or force you to speak further. You have told me your feelings and I respect them." Jin continued to walk into their hunting grounds, unaware that the river nearby had two lions visiting it.

Kei (11:33:28 PM): Kei had continued to head towards the river. The massive dark lion not noticing the servals that Shiri had obviously taken notice to. Instead of pausing att eh rvers edge the male quickened his pace and leaped into a deeper section, completely submerging his heated black form. Raising his head over the waters surface once more he padded back to the shore and looked to Shiri. " What' the hold up? " The male began before following her line of vision. More cats? They were small though. Well, as long as they minded their own, Kei didn't care much for what they did. It seemed though that Shiri was the more curious type than he.

Shiri (11:46:07 PM): By the way Kei continued on towards the river, Shiri assumed that the male in her company hadn't caught site of the other cats in the area. Their scent was growing stronger now and Shiri was worried that the two were on a hunt. They were smaller than Kei and herself, but if they were banded up, then certainly something must have been wrong. Servals were very solitary creatures. Were they hunting in a pair in order to take down their rivals? Shiri glanced over to Kei curiously, but as she did so, the male went sprinting off. He passed the shallow portion of the river and his form caused a huge wave to explode into the air as he suddenly dived in. Shiri was soaked, having been so near the edge. Narrowing her eyes and baring her fangs in a playful snarl, the female let out a light laugh, "You could have warned me!" She said playfully, but as she spoke, she continued to watch the two servals nearby.

Sabira (11:56:14 PM): A rough nudge against her cheek as a sign of affection caught the female's attention and she turned to follow Jin. He continued to speak, though as she opened her maw to reply sharply he cut her off. As he slowly finished Sabira let out a small sigh. She really wasn't interested in hearing him voice the same concerns he had again. Nothing would change them. Sabira simply was enjoying the company and Jin taking control and speaking. She smiled as he finsihed, slowly opening her maw once again to speak before narrowing her gaze straight ahead towards the river. " Jin.." Her voice was serious, a cold tone to it. She wasn't sure how to react to the site of lions near the river.

Jin (12:04:39 AM): As Jin concluded, he could tell that Sabira was not pleased with what he said. He knew that this was what he addresed when they first discussed the matter, but felt as though he needed to be open and honest about how he was feeling. He worried about Sabira, because above all other important things in his life, Sabira's happiness was the highest priority. If the serval femme ever chose to leave, Jin's goals and dreams would be absolutely crushed. The male could certainly rely on Sierra and lean on her for comfort, but the thought of Sabira would haunt him. Shaking the thought from his mind, Jin heard Sabira speak his name. Her tone had changed dramatically and her body seemed ridgid. "What is it?" He asked, concern in his voice. Following her gaze, the male spotted the two lions enjoying the river's water. Narrowing his eyes, the serval let out a hiss and growled. "Do you think they have come in search of land to begin a pride?" It was almost brash to suddenly throw out the idea, but Jin was incredibly protective of his land and would not give it up to a pair of lions.

Kei (12:09:10 AM): Kei laughed loudly trudging through the water, up the sand bank towards Shiri. " Oh? You angry I splashed you?" Kei teased, baring his own large fangs and stalking closer to the lioness. " What are you gonna do about it, huh?" He snickered and splashed the female once more with a flick of his paw. This time though he noticed the female's distraction. She was watching those smaller cats. It must be in her nature to be curious. Hell, she wandered over to the pridelands. She must have met others with that outgoing personality of hers.

Shiri (10:07:19 PM): Although Shiri was eager to hop into the water after the male, her gaze was locked on the two servals. She was curious about them and wanted to ask why they ventured in the company of one another. Perhaps it was nothing, but she couldn't shake the strange feeling she was getting from them. Looking back to Kei, she let out a laugh and then growled lightly, "I'm gonna' do this!" She growled again, jumping into the water and hoping to land on the larger dark lion. She noticed that Kei looked over towards the servals, but thought nothing of it since he didn't mention it.

Kei (10:35:38 PM): As his gaze drifted towards the servals Shiri spoke and acted faster than Kei could get his heavy legs to move in the water. Closing his eyes he laughed, Shiri's weight falling atop him, forcing him under the water's surface. For a moment all was quiet under the river's waters. All he could hear was the constant river's motion and he and Shiri's paddling to the surface. Breaking through to the air above Kei let out a slight cough. " Well, that worked. " Kei teased the female as he began to make his way back intot he shallower waters.

Shiri (9:57:33 PM): When Shiri plunged into the water, the instant chill went over her entire body. In such a heated savanna, she imagined the cold to feel fresh and nice against her fur. What she experienced was entirely unexpected. The water was deep, cold and as she continued to sink, she paniced lightly. With strong front paws, the female brought herself quickly, ahead of Kei to the surface once again. She breathed out suddenly and gasped for air. Had it truly been that long since she had enjoyed the water? Had she ever experienced such depths? Looking over to Kei with his typial smug expression, Shiri instantly began to laugh. She shook the fear from her and realised how silly she must have looked! Kei's mane had been all matted onto the top of his head and he looked rather unintimidating.
PostPosted: Wed Nov 14, 2007 9:52 pm

Sabira (9:57:57 PM): The cold eyes of the serval queen narrowed and she shrugged off Jin's first inquiry. It was obvious that she had been caught off gaurd and unknowing of what to do at first site of the lion pair. As Jin spoke once more though, Sabira let out a soft growl, one that could have almost been missed if one had not been paying attention. " Let us hope that is not their reason for their presence. " Sabira spoke slowly, now making her way towards the lions. This wa sher land, as well as Jin's, and she would have no tresspassers, whether they were larger than she or not. Jin's scent markings about the lands made it obvious enough.

Jin (10:03:28 PM): When Sabira growled low and continued to glare in the lion's presense, Jin realised how foolish they must have looked. Here they were, sitting at their territory's borders, debating what to do because of a pair of lions that were paying them absolutely no mind! Lowering his ears, Jin realised that he would not have been inspired at all had it not been for the lions he was able to witness from afar. Jin respected their prides, ideas and their hunting techniques. He had adopted many of their ways for himself and would continue to do so. Jin watched the liones and when the female began to laugh, Jin nudged Sabira and smiled. "Perhaps there is much more that we can learn from them.. I think they will do us no harm.." And returning his gaze to the beautiful pale serval before him, he smiled wider, "Perhaps you might accompany me for a stroll?"

Kei (10:12:51 PM): Kei let out a large breath, trying to blow a matted strand of his mane from his vision, though failed. Turning to gaze at Shiri Kei grinned. The simple sound of her laughter was enough to send butterflies through his stomach. What was this feeling that was obviously very strong within him? How had this female made a place in his heart so quickly? Seeing her explode from the water and race ahead of him, Kei allowed his own laughter to fill the air. He hadn't seen another react to the water's cold in such a way before. " Cold!?" the male teased, shaking his head swiftly, poofing out his mane in an attempt to dry it.

Shiri (10:22:56 PM): When Kei shook his head, the water went flying all around, hitting Shiri at some turns. The lioness squinted and laughed a bit. She was shivering, floating awkwardly towards the top of the water. As Kei began to head towards the more shallow water, Shiri eagerly followed. She was embarassed about her reaction, but found herself to be enjoying the situation too much to really care. Shaking her own bangs to free them from water, Shiri reached a point in the shallow water where her feet could reach the ground. Climbing a bit further from the water, Shiri looked down to watch Kei. She enjoyed the experience, but still wasn't quite partial to water as much as her friend. There was a reason she did not often visit them and enjoyed shallow watering holes.
PostPosted: Wed Nov 14, 2007 10:27 pm

Sabira (10:23:37 PM): Sabira stopped when Jin began to speak and turned her attention back to the other serval. His nudge sent a shiver through her form and she almost missed what he had to say. He spoke of the lions and she backed up a bit, bringing herself back up alongside him. " Teach us? Like what?" The female inquired, tilting her head with a nod in acceptance to his offer on taking a walk.

Jin (10:26:12 PM): Jin smiled when Sabira seemed surprised. He knew that the female serval was very much like the typical serval. She enjoyed her lone time and was reluctant to join the clan. This did not surprise Jin as there were not many like him, struggling and wishing to make a difference. When she asked what they could learn, the male didn't answer. He knew that it would likely take a great deal of explaining to get his thoughts out in an organised manner. Nudging his head, he motioned for the two of them to begin their walk, "How about I tell you on our walk..?" The male still smiled, eager to leave the paranoia and enjoy his time with Sabira.

Kei (10:35:28 PM): Kei remaine dit he waters for a good time longer. It was his escape fromt he sun's rays and a way to simply relax. He layed int he shallows of the waters, gazing up at Shiri, a smug grin on his maw. Slowly the sun began to fall in the sky and Kei tookt he opportunity to leave the waters and make his way towards Shiri, shaking himself off as he did so. " Enjoy yourself?" He asked, offering a nuzzle to the female.

Shiri (10:54:52 PM): Shiri nodded quickly. When she came to the shallow waters, she found that laying in the sun, with her legs barely covered was an equal and comfortable amount of heat and cold. It allowed her to enjoy the water, without having to fully submerge. Shiri now didn't trust her swimming abilities as much as she would have hoped. Laughing lightly as Kei asked, Shiri replayed the awkward experience when she jumped in. "Oh, of course.." Her voice came out in a gentle whisper. When Kei came out and made his way beside her, Shiri continued to smile and nuzzled up against him. It was surprising that despite his wet, chilled form, he still felt warm against Shiri's fur. "It was a wonderful day, Kei.. I really enjoyed it."
