--- It's been quite a while since she'd lain eyes upon that odd wolf, and his pack's seizure-inducing healer, long enough that the seasons hadn't bothered to wait for them to meet once more. Now an assortment of leaves from the once fruitful boughs of the trees had turned beautiful shades of red and orange, before in whipping gusts fallen to the ground, almost entirely covering her meadow and the forest surrounding it. Personally she was displeased with the leaves, burying the dried out, dying brown-grass that made her pelt seem less of an eye-sore than it really was. Which, Necrala herself found quite odd. She'd never actually given a damn about what she looked like before. Her pelt was a curse, and she had to live with it. She'd accepted that.
--- Her broad muzzle turned upwards to watch a falcon rising on a late thermal, wings spread as it rose and rose. She blinked, and it was gone. 'Odd...' The corpse-colored femme mused, before turning back to her work. Paws scratched against the layer of dead-grass and disturbed leaves, beginning to hit dirt as she dug, believe it or not, a den. It would get cold, and she'd nearly froze to death last winter out here. She wouldn't make that mistake again. Another gust flew past, and behind her she heard the rustling of leaves. Nothing odd about that. Shaking her now substancially longer pelt (it was beginning to grow for winter), she started on her den once more.

Time had passed indeed, but for Musketeer it had passed in agonizingly slow moments. After Alas had pulled the arrow from his hind leg and pronounced him 'lucky' for it had torn no muscle, nor hit his bone. It still hurt beyond anything he had ever felt. He had kept moving though ignoring the wound except when he cleaned it and rubbed the leaves Alas had told him to on it. Slowly the pain and dulled, more and more allowing him to continue his patrols and hunts.
He wanted to visit Necrala, to see if she had healed as well as he had. He feared however how she would welcome him, especially after he had abandoned her in her clearing. Today though the silver pelted wolf gazed about and decided to work up the courage to pay a visit on the corpse colored female. He had to admit he sorely missed her void like eyes and in the first stinging cold of fall, he hoped that she would welcome warm company.
All he could do was hope, and hope he did as he moved past his pack territory and towards the clearing. For a moment he feared that Necrala had left the clearing to seek some new private spot. He sniffed about and smiled at the fresh clean scent of her buried in the mounds of leaves. He came upon her, or half of her. The other half was buried down and digging what seemed to be a den entrance.
"Hello again sweet Necrala..." He sat down ignoring the slightly numb pang that came from his leg.

--- The rustling of leaves brought her no surprise, for once again the femme merely thought it was a trick of the wind. But when a voice accompanied such a disturbance on the ground, progress digging downward immediately stopped. A grey and wound-colored head pulled up quickly from the ground, though now it was smudged with dirt and a bewildered expression.
--- After all this time, Necrala really didn't expect him. Though she wouldn't admit it, she'd thought that the male had gone and died on her! Looking at the male up and down for a moment, she was silenced.
--- "What're you doing here?" She inquired with surprise, though it lacked any imminent sarcasm or distaste. Just plain and simple curiousity.

Wel what had he expected, she wasn't about to jump for joy and kiss him. He gave a slight smile, one of his true smiles not the usual charming smirk.
"Well, I came to make sure you were okay...It's been a while." He suddenly felt his courage flee, it was obvious no matter what he did he wouldn never make this female happy, let alone get her to like him. The thought was quite distressing since he had looked at her once again after all the time that had passed and wanted to lick away the smudge of dirt. A foolish sentiment if he ever thought of one, but sadly it was the first thing that had entered his mind.

--- Regaining her composure, the femme nodded softly, letting out a heavy sigh with a cold of warm breath materializing in the air. "Yes, it has..." Necrala replied softly, not leaving her awkward position in front of the den. Silver eyes flicked over his body momentarily, looking for some sort of scar or wound on the male's leg. She saw none, surprisingly, as it was most likely covered by fur or gone by now. It really had been a while.

He followed the path that her eyes went and shrugged. "Alas did a good job." What more could he say? What more could he do? Somehow turning away seemed so wrong even after all this time. He looked over her shoulder and inched a bit closer.
"Building yourself a den? For the winter?" He hoped so, that meant she would be around all winter. Maybe he could come visit her more often, fix this akward gap between them, dispell her loathing for him.

--- Agreeing, the corpse-like femme nodded. The odd pink wolf had done a good job. Now she was completely healed, she hadn't felt the burn of the cut on her neck in quite a while. It'd healed up nicely, leaving only a soft, nearly invisible ring around her neck, which was covered by new fur. Against the brilliant fall leaves she looked paler and more dim than normal, she noted off-handedly, looking over the meadow.
--- An eyebrow cocked and Necrala brought her attention back to Musketeer. "I'm not building it for the birds." She retorted with a snort. What in the world else would she be building it for? Silly wolf.

A soft laugh escaped him at her words and he relaxed slowly he moved forward to examine her neck for himself. He slowly moved to nose the fur and lick gently where she had been wounded.
"I missed you, there was no short supply of that which to trip over, but I missed you nonetheless." He slowly pulled away and glanced at the den.
"May I help?" He would have asked her if she needed any help, but he had realized she neither needed nor wanted anything from him. He wanted to ask her if she would make it big enough for more then one, but he had his pack and he was content with it. Pity she seemed to have an aversion to any pack at all, he wished he knew why.

--- As he moved closer the femme didn't move, though tensing up lightly when he began nosing around her neck. She smirked softly at his comment, not sure whether to laugh at utter illogicalness at that statement or be quite confused. She had led HIM to getting shot by a human, and yet HE was the one who miss her? Odd fool.
--- The femme was opening her more to (quite rudely) decline, but she thought it over. All he was doing was disrupting her from her work on the den, why not have him do something useful? Sure as hell get it done faster. Moving over from the center of the hole as a sort of invitation to come up and start digging, the corpse femme nodded. She didn't need any help of course, she never did...She was merely using him to her advantage.

Musketeer smiled his tail wavered to and fro steadily as he moved to stand beside the corpse colored female. He eyed her and looked around, "Your glowing, or at least it seems like it. It must be the change of weather."
He moved to start digging, and steadily he dug for not just one wolfs den, but a den that two or possibly three wolves could fit into with comfort. All the while he braced and jumped about on the top to ensure there wouldn't be any cave in's.
He glanced over at Necrala ocassionally and muttered softly under his breath digging with renewed fervor. She was strangely oh so so strangely beautiful and slowly he found himself caught in a mixture of anger and sadness that he could not get her to see him in a favorable light.

--- For a moment a curious look arose on her maw at his commenting, personally finding quite the contrary. Was that mutt making fun of her pelt? Must be so, the cheeky little a**. Necrala moved back to allow him more room, already covered in enough dirt (mostly from his quick-moving paws) for them both. He was a good worker she had to admit.

Musketeer shook off and looked around, the den was nicely done up, now it needed somethng inside to make it cozy. They also needed to remove the piles of earth that were all around outside.
He moved out and grinned at Necrala. "Not bad huh?"

--- Raising to her paws the femme skirted around Musketeer and down the entrance hole to the den. Crawling through the passage-way downwards the corpse-colored femme entered the cavity, turning around and looking in near-darkness around. It was....big. Quite big actually, big enough for her and more. Not that she planned having anymore here, not on her life. Wouldn't it grow cold with the extra space? Great. That'd defeat the entire purpose of the den. Of course, that wasn't true at all, she was just looking for something to b***h about, because this den was just about perfect.
--- "It's okay." Necrala replied with a shrug, not trying to sound too offending (lest he go off into another ungreatful bout), beginning up the tunnel to the surface. Once up she shook the loose dirt picked up from the den-floor from her pelt, giving herself a personal reminder to pat that all down later. Now, to deal with the rest of the dirt she had out here.

He watched as she came up and nodded glancing back at the entrance. "It's big enough for more then just you incase..." but his courage left him. He didn't want his small hopes to be dashed so easily. While Necrala was clever, and he had found a certain quality of beauty to her she also seemed to be as cold as the corpse her fur resembled.
"...incase you need to drag in a fresh kill or something." He finished and nodded firmly. Slowly he looked around at the mound of dirt around the entrance and then around the clearing, they would have to move it well away before it rained or anything and made a muddy mess.

--- Just in case.....Just in case what? Necrala thought, raising an eyebrow accusingly at the other wolf. Why'd he stop speaking? In fact, she half wondered why she hadn't run him off by now. Any other wolf she would've, but the corpse-like femme doubted that he'd go if she did. Stupid persistent little... At least he'd done something useful, but that also would mean that her den would smell like that for at least a week. Wonderful...
--- Finally the silver male found his tongue and finished his statement. And with a slow nod, she took it, but with a slight bit of apprehension. That wasn't what he was going to say before, she knew it.
