Her ears flickered slightly as she listened to the sounds of the forest. It was quiet here... Quiet enough that should she start humming to herself she was certain that she would hear it and, maybe, others would as well. Others would hear her and then she would have company.
"..." She let out a wistful sigh, tilting her head to the side. She had been told to wait here and she was growing very weary of doing what she was told. There had to be something out there more interesting than waiting for him to return.

((Image shall be replaced with Cert... whenever I get it >_> )) Golden hooves took their time returning back to where the pale mare stood. Dark blonde curls shook as the stallion's head curtly swayed back and forth.
"Pet, you wouldn't have been so bored had you agreed to come with me, you know." he lectured lightly, taking a moment to lick the blood from his fangs. It had been a grand afternoon, finding a couple humans, thus, a fulfilling lunch. His shirt and vest had long since been stained of the victims of the past, but he didn't care. It suited him, just as it suited his companion to wear those pointless beads around her neck. Hell, she'd get them tangled in her hair again if she wasn't careful, and what a headache'd fit that had been, trying to straighten that mess out before. But he was loyal to her, and would remain so, despite her... unusual habits.

"... And watch you play with your little toys? Toys, toys..." She said in a soft, sing-song voice. "I'm not bored. I've just been... Watching. Watching and waiting and waiting and watching." A soft smile curved her lips, eyes taking on an almost vacant stare for a moment before she shook her head, turning towards him. "... Did you enjoy yourself?"

"You have toys of your own to play with, so no making fun of mine, Dru." he said casually, stepping up to give her head a quick affectionate nuzzle. "And yes... yes I enjoyed myself very much, though I wish you'd join me more often."
Turning aside, his brows furrowed and his golden eyes gazed across the horizon. He was never fully sure of what was going on in her head, but she definitely kept things from growing dull. "So what would you like to do today, pet? Any little games of yours in mind?"

"No, no... No games today. Just wandering... The forest is so... quiet." She said as she leaned towards him, whispering in his ear as if it were some great secret. "... Something is going to happen somewhere. I just know it."

He rolled his eyes slightly.
"Something always happens somewhere, love. That's the way things work. Or do you know something you're not telling 'ol Will?"
Turning, he gave her a reprimanding look, with a slight grin. "You know I don't stand for secrets, Dru."

"I might know something..." She smiled, swaying softly for a moment before turning so that she could make her way towards a nearby stream. "Or I might not..."

Intrigued, both eyebrows rose as he trailed behind her at a sauntering pace. "And what would I have to do to find out this possible secret?"
He was in a good mood... he didn't mind her little games. Actually, they were kind of cute, in a whacked out kind of way. But that was Dru, through and through.

"If I told you it wouldn't be fun." She smiled brightly, eyes gleaming as she cast him a brief glance after pausing by the water. She leaned down, touching her muzzle to the cool surface. "Winter is almost hear... Cold, cold, lots of cold... The snow will be stained red."

He paused, attempting to interpret her cryptic words. She did this, and quite often at that, but he had learned over time to live with it, for she'd never change. Not that he'd want her to.
"Red, eh?" he asked, amused. "We'll paint this whole land red, by the time we're done with it!"

"Red... Red is such a pretty color... So bright and dark." She sighed softly, letting her eyes close for a moment. "... But why paint? Paint can be so messy."

"It's just a figure of speech, love." He sighed, shaking his head. "And since when were you so prim 'n proper all of a sudden? If I recall correctly, there was a certain mare I knew that took delight in watching a certain two-leggers village get destroyed thanks in part to her maliciousness. Or has that mare faded away into some 'ol priss?"

Her eyes narrowed slightly as she turned to look at the stallion. "They deserved that! They deserved every bit of what happened!" Her gaze darkened as she seemed to stare past them. They had tried to keep her... And use her...
All of a sudden she smiled as if she had forgotten what it was that she had been so upset about. "... Did you enjoy your dinner?"

He smirked, watching her expressions change as quickly as the seasons. "Of course I did."
Licking his lips, as if for emphasis, he savored the remaining flavor of flesh and blood his teeth and gums had left on them, momentarily wishing he had taken more time in engorging himself on the two humans he had earlier. It was a pity, the lack of meat most two leggers had on their bones. Ah, well, it's a good thing they came in numerous amounts.
"You feeling hungry at all, pet?"

"I had an apple earlier..." She blinked as she stared off for a moment. "The trees are all dying... Soon there won't be any more apples. It will be cold... So very, very cold. Do you like the cold, William?"
