Her head was held high as she and one of her two daughters made their way through the woods. She was very proud of her children; each one beautiful in their own way. Rosalina was charming, Tsai was dashing and Duchess, the young one who trotted after her now, was simply darling. She couldn't imagine having better foals and she was absolutely certain that they looked far better than the monsters that her nemesis had popped out; definately better than the sunken-eyed oddball that she'd met.
She slowed her pace as she approached the stream, tilting her head to admire her reflection. She smiled as her daughter stepped up beside her, leaning over to nudge a stray piece of dark hair back into place. "There you are my darling Duchess. See how easy it is to remain proper?"

Dia snorted as she drew herself out into the sunlight, leaving behind the shadowy forest she knew as her temporary home. Raising children had become such a boring task, despite the motivation she had of showing up Plague with her own skills.
Having left the two girls on their own (after all, if they couldn't defend themselves by now, there was no point in continuing to watch over them), her youngest had decided to follow behind her on her trip. She had half a mind to shoo him off towards the others while she hunted for her lunch, but something about the smaller purple colt caused her to hold her tongue, and silently allow him to tag along. Hell, maybe the little brat would even take lessons from how she fetched her meal.
Havoc focused on his walking, his large wings attempting to send him off balance once again. He didn't understand why his wings didn't look anything like Moma's or his sisters', but the white mare would only mutter incoherently whenever he asked about it. She never seemed too please to discuss the fact he was dark while she was white, and how different he seemed apart from the rest of the family. Coming to his own conclusion, Havoc figured it had something to do with this "Father" figure Moma seemed to abhor, going as far as to remind them that he was one of their goals in life to destroy. But he didn't think ahead to things like that... got to concentrate on the here and now!
Toddling behind, his short tail bobbed in the breeze, excited and curious as to where his mother was leading him.

"Yes, mother." She managed a smile as she looked up to the pale mare that she had followed out this far. There was something about her mother that was so different than her father... And yet she loved them both equally, her brother and sister as well.
She glanced down at her reflection, leaning down further to touch her nose to the water before taking a sip. The water was cool and it suprised her... But it was good.
She turned her head, giving her daughter a light nuzzle. "Don't worry. We'll wander back towards home soon, darling. I just wanted to show you a bit of what it's like to be out and about."

A familiar scent drifted downwind to her, and Dia's eyebrows rose. That fat little hussy was out and about? Well... then again, Dia had gotten pregnant after she had, so no doubt the mare was no longer as fat as she had been before... perhaps she had a scrumptious little treat or two following her around as well?
Hurrying her pace, she turned and motioned for her son to follow. "Keep up Havoc... you don't want to be a slowpoke now, do you?"
Grinning, the small colt attempted to speed up, nearly tripping once again thanks to the purple wings on his side. His Moma was stern alot of the time, but she never forgot about him. He had to wonder, though, why she was in such a rush all of a sudden.

She froze, ears flickering as she heard movement in the woods. "Mother..." Father had warned once or twice to be careful when roaming about... Especially when roaming about with Mother who had a different opinion on what one should and shouldn't be 'afraid' of. She wasn't 'afraid' herself, persay... Just curious.
Her own ears flickered, first towards the sound of her daughter's voice and then towards the forest. "Oh, don't mind that. I bet it's just nothing."

She passed the final tree outlining the forest's edge, and pink eyes immediately settled on the familiar colored figure near the river that led into the forest. An unfamiliar, smaller green and white figure stood beside her, which could only mean that the mare indeed had birthed her own little brats.
Grinning, she leaned down to give the little colt a quick nudge on the head, the most she could muster up for any form of affection, and stepped forward, her target now in sight.
"Havoc, darling, we're about to meet one of Moma's.... friends. So act right, and do as your told."
Like he wouldn't follow her word otherwise?
One eyebrow rose as his mother gave him a semi-nuzzle. Something was definitely different, especially by the way she said that word 'friend'. What in the world was a friend?
Curious, he moved his head to look around the pink and white mare, only to lay eyes on a creature that bore the same colors as his own mother. And then there was another one... one about the same size as himself?! He had never met any other creatures aside from Moma and his sisters, so this would be an exciting treat indeed!

She resisted the urge to roll her eyes as she heard the all-too-familiar sound of Diabetia's voice. Sighing she gave her daughter a little nudge before whispering in her ear. "Straighten out, darling... And remember, whatever this windbag says, you're beautiful."
Windbag? Was that someone's name? Why would they say things that weren't nice? That... Didn't make any sense at all. Not one bit.

"Katarina, darling, how... well you look today. I see you dropped some of that weight off of you in the form of your little green one, here."
Now only yards away from the other duo, she stared up and down at the smaller creature, taking in her appearance. "My my my, Katarina... a green stallion? How Christmas-like of you, m'dear."
Leaning down to get to eye level with the little filly, she smiled, exposing her fangs. There was no need to hide what she was from this little foal; hell, her mother probably already warned her of her. So instead, she took delight in the fact she might be able to scare a bit of fear into the foal.
"What's your name, little one?" she asked innocently, as if she even cared.
Havoc peered out from behind his mother once more, curious as to her light and airy tone she typically only used when she wanted something, or was scheming something up. Who was that mare that stole Moma's white and pink? Even more intriguing, who was that little white and green thing?
Stepping out from around his elder, the small colt took another step forward towards the little female, staring at her quizzically.
"Who are you? You're funny looking... I'm Havoc!"

"How nice of you to notice, Dia-darling." She smirked, giving her head a light toss before eying the other mare. "... And it looks to me as if you've gained a little weight... Don't tell me you've..." She gasped in mock startle as she saw the little colt. "How precious. Much better than that other son of yours... Even if he's a bit awkward."
She eyed the fangs for a moment, nose wrinkling slightly before she straightened out just as her mother did. She was about to answer the mare with the strange things on her head and the weird things poking out of her side until she was rudely interrupted by a boy.
She turned to him, brow lofting slightly in a way that made it clear that she was her mother's daughter. "My name is Duchess... What kind of name is Havoc? Mother says I'm not to listen to you and that no matter what you say I'm beautiful."

"Awkward my a**," she scoffed, throwing back her pink and purple curls over her shoulder. True, her son took mostly after his father, but he was anything but awkward. "He just has to adjust to his wings. But you wouldn't know about wings, now, would you Kat dear?"
Silently, she had to agree with the other mare, though. Tarnish absolutely disgusted her, appearance wise. What was worse was that the little b*****d had to take a good lot of her genes and traits, to mix with his fathers. No, Havoc would do better than all of those three. Havoc and his beautiful two sisters.
Havoc gave her a puzzled look. "How would your Mother know about me... we've never met before."
Scrunching up his nose, he thought about it for a minute. "At least, I don't think we have."
Spreading back his large wings, he twitched them about, feeling uneasy and unsure of the situation his mother had put him in. What were they doing, talking to these creatures?

"Well, now that you mention it..." She smirked, letting her golden gaze trail towards Dia's tail-end. "I suppose some of your weight did wind up there... But I still wouldn't call it awkward."
"Wait..." Mother had said 'windbag' and this foal had introduced himself as 'Havoc'. Her brow furrowed slightly for a moment as she thought before looking up to Dia. "... If his name is Havoc does that mean you are Windbag?"

Her mouth had opened to make a quippy comment back at the pink and white mare, but when the little foal uttered her seemingly innocent question, Dia felt the snarl cross her face before she even realized what she was doing.
Letting out a hiss, she took a step forward and moved closer to the filly. "What exactly did you call me, you little twerp?"
Havoc's eyes grew wide as the conversation seemed to drop and Mother started snarling. Whatever a windbag was, it obviously wasn't a very nice thing to say!
"Why'd you do that?!" he hissed, attempting to mimic his mother as he bore his own tiny fangs.

"Now, now, Duchess..." She murmured softly as she stepped between her daughter and the candy kalona. "And Dia, darling, I thought you knew that hissing does absolutely nothing for you... Do you really want your son to see you making such an unattractive face?"
"But Mother..." She had only repeated what her mother had told her. If she wasn't supposed to say it then her mother should have told her.

Dia straightened up as the mare blocked her away from the young filly, and she glared at its mother. "Tell your little brat to hold her tongue, then, unless she plans to be someone's dinner!"
Glancing down once again, her eyes narrowed. "Though, she'd probably be more of a dessert. Such scrawny things you raise, Katarina."
Havoc snorted, unsure if his Moma or Duchess's mom had won that spat. Maybe it was a tie? Either way, Duchess was now out of sight, so it was time to examine the odd looking mare standing before him. She shared Moma's colors, but she acted nothing like her mother. Was this what a friend was, someone to fight with?

"Dinner? Here I thought you would be going on a diet after giving birth a second time... Not eating more. They do say that the weight gets harder to take off the more foals you have." She smirked, giving her head a light toss. "How many have you had now? Are they all to the same stallion?"
She could either continue staring up at her mother and the strange mare or she could attempt to peer around to the odd colt again. Listening to the mothers talk was so... Boring.
