Trotting quickly down the path away from his home, Ryuune eyed his daughter curiously, his heart speeding up a few dozen beats at the thought of seeing his mate once more. She was supposed to meet him at the crossing of paths to both of their houses, but he didn't see her familiar dark green form as he came closer. Was she late again?
A reisgned sigh escaped him. He did not want to have to wait anxiously for his daughter to take her sweet time to come around the bend. Usually he'd be more accepting of his daughter's habits, but it wasn't every day when the entire family met for a nice get-together! The least the young female could do was be on time!
Tail flicking with impatience as he sat at the junction of the trails, he willed his daughter there right at that moment. Ha. Like she'd listen.

Running down the long trail, her companion bouncing not-so-merrily on her shoulder, Ashe cursed her nasty little habit of falling asleep in delightful patches of sunlight. It really wasn't her fault! Blame her serpintine tendencies!
A sigh and a mumble about how one couldn't be blamed for things like this, she careened down the path, hoping and praying her father wasn't on-time for once in his life. Ha, like that'd happen.
At least today wouldn't be a total bad day? She'd get to see her family again and that would be fun! A grin tugged at her lips but quickly faded when her eyes alighted on the yellow spotted form, his tail twitching in the tone of "dead daughter ahead". "Nyaaah--!" This day certainly wasn't starting out as she'd hoped.
