The Senites are a human-like race, but shorter (4' 2" on average), paler, and thinner. The defining characteristic of a Senite is the fact that they have three fingers on each hand--the thumb and two much-larger fingers. The race gets its name and base 6 system from this characteristic.
They usually live in caves or subterranean complexes, so their eyesight is very sensitive. They are physically weak, but quick and agile in case of natural predators. Wait, what? Natural predators? Yeah, they're not the dominant species. Larger beings, like bears and tigers, may end up hunting them. It is not uncommon for a family of Senites to vanish at the hands of a predator. Their saviors against threats are the more intelligent races (which I'll develop when I have more conlangs. >.>)
Another trait: They're kinda stupid. Okay, they're very stupid. The average IQ of a Senite is roughly 35, which probably has something to do with their small heads. However, they are very social and have human-level language centers of their brain. Well, maybe not human level. As a result, they act intelligent, but are extremely simple-minded. This is reflected in the omission of the verb 'to be' in their language, the lack of subject-object distinction in their pronouns, and the single interrogative pronoun.
Get this--they even butcher their own language sometimes. Many use the General gender tag almost without exception. While not technically incorrect, they freely omit articles, avoid the use of relative clauses in favor of multiple simple sentences, and use minimal words in any one sentence. They also have a tendency to forget to conjugate their verbs correctly. The Gonn equivalent of LOLcats is pretty much just captioned art.
Due to their low intelligence, their arts are simplistic and limited. They do not worship a god, as they cannot concieve of something so powerful. Mathematics are base (Quadratic formula? What's that?), and history is completely oral. The invention of writing would never have been concieved if one of the intelligent race members hadn't explained the concept. It took a while, as Senites have trouble with new ideas. If they haven't experienced it, they can't figure it out, as a result of their minimal intelligence.
I'll add more later. Or something. >.>
