((I ment this as more of a light rp in between the hectic christmas season. I want to keep at least one pack rp open n_n))
Twist's silver eyes seamed to scan the land and the sea that seamed to dart amoung the blackish cliffs. She had promised some of her younger memebers to teach them how to fish. Although it was more the less an excuse to just get away from it all. The waves and the salty air seamed to calm her troubled young nerves. All the schemes and all the lies- bleh she just wanted to seperate herself from it all; at least for a short while. Then when the time came to be she'd gather herself again and become a leader.
But it was these short trips to the ocean that she really let her true self show. She was mearly a lost puppy who yearned for her lost family. She didn't want fame and power. She mearly wanted order so she could gain what she lost. Though it was only the fish that really knew her secret. She couldn't show anyone her 'puppy-hugging' weakness. Ah woe was the wolf whom had to wear a mask there entire life. But she supposed that was really what she truely needed to survive. Weakness never prevailed. Love didn't exsist. And Mortaility was just another part of life. It made Twist who she was- a loner.
Though she had Algoma by herside to fill in her void. She just couldn't think something was missing...Rome? Her mind wandered to how much Kattana and him loved each other. Why couldn't she be blessed like that?! Her brow furled. Well if she couldn't be happy nobody would be happy. Taking a short growl she thrust her head into the water and started gutting fish.
Peace at last...

Alas had seen Twist from the vantage point of the den on the cliffs and decided to go down and give the young alpha some company. She worried about Twist, sometimes she seemed so ready and together and at other moments she was afraid the alpha didn't have what it would take. Through it all Alas promised herself she would support the stormy colored wolf. She went down the cliffs with an ease born of practice, silent after much practice and sneaking off in the early morning hours. She doubted anyone missed her, no one need ever know she had been catching sleep and company in another packs lands. With care Alas had used the gift of the sea to erase the traces of scent from her body each day and night.
As she approached her alpha she once again wondered at why her body felt no response of respect towards Twist when she always felt it towards Crunch. She assumed it was their age difference, or perhaps the maternal feeling she held for the young alpha.
"Good morning Twist!" Alas called out her greeting and bounded down the shore tipping her muzzle respectfully to boost the alphas confidance.

The fish seamed to dangle haphazardly out of Twists mouth as her ear seamed to turn towards the pink wolf that was approching her. Some part of her wanted to just ignore her- the other seamed to now be digging into the fish with such power that it simply spilt in two halves as it fell. "Damn fish..." She seamed to mutter in quite a daze then turned towards Alas with a sharp question. "What do you think of Rome?" It was one of those questions that was so out of the blue even she was shocked to have it roll out of her lips.
"Actully disregaurd that question as it is of no further use to me..." Who was she kidding though. She was still obsessing over the special bond that Kattana held with the brute of a male. Why was she so destined to be 'unloved'? Prehaps again this is where her desire for worshipers came from. Even though they didn't 'love' her it was still something. She sighed inwardly completly falling apart.
"Let me repharse that...has anyone ever loved you? Not like a mother- but that special kind of love you only get from another?" Her mouth clamped. Why was she talking to Alas about this? Why was she pouring her heart out like this?! It was weakness! It was madness! Algoma would kill her for being weak if she heard. Then again if she asked she would just pawn it out as good acting- then again there was something slightly more geninue in her voice then when she had been stringing Alas on before.
Ah if only she could go back to the days before her hormones had been awakened; prehaps she would have killed Alas rather then having a conversation about love with her.

Alas hadn't expected such a bombard of questions from her alpha when she had come down to giev her company. Perhaps though it was all these thoughts weighing on the young ones mind. She tried to answer as best as she could, but many of Twists questions simply created more questions for Alas.
"Rome?" She had heard the name, it was the younge orange pups father, but she had not met him to be able to give her opinion. Seems that didn't matter since Twist quickly disregarded the question. She tilted her head at the next question and walked closer to sit beside Twist.
"I traveled and lived alone for so long...I was never loved in that fashion. I had no mother no father, no siblings. I had a companion, a squirrel I didn't eat." She sighed and shrugged.
"It takes a special someone I suppose..." She wondered if the feelings she had for Crunch meant he was her special someone? Did the male feel for her the way she felt for him?
"Your young yet though Twist, your doing just fine on your own, you'll find soemone and he'll be as strong and talented as you. You'll see." She gave Twist a reassuring smile and gently nuzzled her.

The young alpha then became silent once again watching the blood trail off into the water from the fish she had killed. It was quite beautiful actully considering it was dead. Then again death in it's own regard was beautiful- though she couldn't see the beauty in how her family was murdered. Again it made the alphis feel tense towards the situation. If she ever found that blagart her condemed her to death she'd teach him a thing or two; but was this thinking no different then her own elders? Choosing who lived or died? No, she didn't think that was the case. Those who she condemed to death was already old enough to have made up there minds on it; chosen there path persay. Maybe that was why she had such a fondness for puppies where Algoma did not. She didn't want them to face the same life she had. At least if they were raised evil- they would still have somebody to look up to. A family...
Am I going soft? Is this what Algoma talked about when she mentioned tree huggers?
She took another look towards Libenalas. Then towards the dead fish. Life should be as easy as that. Black and white. She frowned knowing her silence was probally more alarming then her boiusterious rants.
"I guess your right. I have gotten this far- but then again it would have been nice to known my family."

Alas tilted her head at Twists silence and watched her worried for a long moment before nodding.
"I wish I could have known my family too, but we are a pack we can be each others family." She smiled softly at the alpha.
"Things will get better, that lynx won't spoil things for us." She nudged her comfortingly.
Slowly she turned her gaze to the fish and back at Twist. "Fish are very good for you, but you have to be careful for the bones, they can easily choke you before you would even know it."

She noted the topic change and nodded at that. "So would you say your a good fisherman?" She raised a brow not ever having seen Alas's ability to hunt. "I find it helps me take my mind off things to masacre the fish..." She nodded towards the pile of snappers and there bones that seamed to be spread al threwout the beach. "Without this coastline I'd be lost..." She lifted her maw up towards the sky and let the salty air sweap threw her fur.
"So again I ask, are you a good fisherman? Or do I need to give you some pointers?" She chuckled with a playfully evil laugh. Teaching Alas how to kill things brought a slight smile to her face. That and it gave her the excuse to kill more fish.

Alas laughed and decided to downplay her fishing skills, which were fair but not half as good as her ability to flush out and grab small game. It was probably the combination of the two abilities that had helped her to survive in good health, as well as her self taught lessons in healing.
"I could probably use a few pointers..." She smiled at Twist hoping to boost her confidence and ego, the young alpha could use it.

"Ah well then I shall teach you everything I know!" She came closer to Alas her nostrils wuffling in the salt air again. But this air was different from the last. It smelled of a well covered up scent of wolves. But Twist didn't dare bring any attention to it. So she thinks that I am that stupid that she can meander with other packs and rest safe in mine? Well it will only be her downfall once I exploit it to the others...then when that happens Algoma will have her fun. But until then I'm her best friend. She came closer with a smile and put her pads into the water ever so quitely.
"Generally you don't need as much stealth as I do. But sometimes the fishes like to disguse themselves. The play coy and lay down low with the rocks. Sometimes it's hard to spot these traitorish fish, but once you do-" She plunged her head into the water and pulled out one of the smaller fish. "The often die quicker then the rest- because only one fish need to exploit them." She snapped her jaws together harder then the first time and the struggling fish parts bounced in amoust the water scattering the other sleeping fish.
"Fish often mimic other animals..." She implyed. "But we just play them off as harmless..." She smiled again wider to Alas licking her bloody jaws. "It's your turn to catch the fish now..."

Alas listened with care to Twist and her mind raced with thoughts both too tenderhearted and too cruelhearted. She feared being right and she feared being wrong, all her suspicions seemed too harsh for her to bear. Today Alas wanted to see the light, love, compassion, something in Twist that would reaffrim it was good to help her.
Yet as Twist spoke of the fish Alas felt her insides sink and chill. She turned her head as her alpha finished speaking and glanced at the water. "I never bother with the disguised fish, they are harmless and simply trying to keep themselves safe. It is the thrashing, wild fish that hide among the quiet ones that give me the greatest thrill to catch. They are the hardest to find, but once you do, once you bring them down from their reckless thrashing, they make the best meals." She tilted her head at Twist and smiled.
"Why catch a bottomfeeder and eat poorly for a day, when you can grab a shark and eat like a queen for a week?"
She turned and glanced back ove rthe ocean before taking a deep breath. "I have a confession Twist. I love the ocean and the pack here, but I have been slipping off now and then to visit friends, to collect healing supplies for us, to see what lone wolves dwell outside the territory. The pack I found is protective of their own though, but you should know. As my alpha all my loyalty has always lain with you. Nothing but a grand betrayal could make me turn from your side..." She smiled softly, but in her blue eyes Alas did not show the usual motherly warmth for Twist, instead there was a silent warning that she suspected something.

"Because-" She stopped and looked at Alas. "That bottomfeeder if not caught will grow larger then the others and eat them all...they need to be stopped. If not for eatting- but for the survival of the other fish." She again dove forward and snapped into another small fish letting the larger ones swim free with ease.
"The big ones are harmless and are often easy to follow others- those little ones tend to swim with multiple schools." She stopped before she added, like you.
"Really Alas? You've been seeing other packs...my dear fish. So what have you told them about me?" Her brow gave a sharp raise as she was having a hard time not lunging forward and silenceing Alas. "I know your displeased with the way I run things- but you must choose where your loyaties lie. Age dosn't mean anything- it's how you play the game. And I worry about your lack of respect for me."
Her paw stabbed forth into the water strangling a fish under it. "I like you Alas- don't forget that. I'm your friend, but I don't like you 'socializing' unless I am the one making the meetings." Again her brow furled. If another knew of her plans and Algoma she could be ruined. "Tell me though- who is the Alpha of these other lands that you have been meeting with?" She again asked infuriated with Alas. She should have killed her when she had the chance.

Alas listened to Twist with all her usual pateince, until my dear fish her lips rose of their own accord and a soft growl escaped her. She looked at Twist suddenly and frowned.
"Your of faith in me is most disturbing, I who have never spoken ill of you, I who was ythe first to swear my friendship and following to you before you had anyone else to obey you. I am not so much displeased with the way you have handled the pack, I forgive your choices and hope that they are progressive. I understand you have...enemies who are working against you." She huffed softly and kept her gaze steady on her alpha's.
"I told you when I joined you that I would be seeking out others to improve the pack, and another pack nearby could be a friend and ally to us. YOU gave me the permission to 'socialize' and I in turn used that permission to do just that. I wouldn't want to disobey your orders, to betray your trust...though now I believe your trust is me is lacking my alpha..." She looked at Twist sadly hoping that what she had begun to suspect was untrue.
"The alpha of the lands is named Crunch..." Suddenly Alas feare dthat even that small tidbit of information was too much knowledge for her alpha to possess.

"Of course I gave you premission to socialize...but if that was the case- why did you find the need to mask you sent so much?! If you were really looking to help our pack you would have walked in our lands freely reaking of this 'Crunch'. Instead you masked your sent making yourself sound supisious. How am I to have faith in you if you can't even tell me where you have gone?!" She seamed to froth out threw her bated teeth.
"Maybe I would have more faith in you if you wouldn't go sneaking off all the time. Don't worry I have noticed these things- and so has Wazzam." She paused her eyes narrowing more darkly. "Alas you don't have to speak for me to notice the way you don't respect me. Of all the members here your the first one to not back down around me. How am I supposed to know my true enemies if you hold yourself higher then I do. You for all I know could be working for THAT lynx."
She snarled as she started to pace. "Prove to me your not working for her and arrange a meeting with this Crunch. Once we too become allies- at least we might have more power agaist that feline deamon...."
She then calmed and moved closer to Alas resting her muzzle over her neck tenderly. "Alas I love you like a sister- please don't make me have to do something I will regret."

Alas suddenly felt very badly, no wonder Twist had been so on edge. She knew she shouldn't have masked her scent, but she didn't want Crunch's pack bothered because of her visits.
"Twist, please it hurts me that you doubt me...I masked my scent so that Crunch's pack would be left alone for the time being. Now that I know they would be good alliances I've told you." She sighed softly.
Alas growled at Twists next words. "I would never befriend that Lynx! She is still doing bad things Twist we need to handle her and quickly! Waz- YES and Wazzam I worru about him too! He he seems...he's confused Twist. He's so dark and untrusting, somethings gone wrong in his family that needs to be fixed."
Alas took a deep breath and nodded softly. "Alright, I'll speak to Crunch and arrange things...Twist...I never meant any disrespect, it's just...your so young I would rather be a mother to you..." She gently nuzzled the alpha as she rested her head there, for a moment a thought flashed through her mind She could rip out your neck, you fool... but Alas tamped it down. I must not think such things, I have to trust that Twist is just... the thoughts trailed off.
"You don't need to do anything Twist...you know I promised you, I promised my loyalty to you." She licked the young alpha's muzzle tenderly.

"Trust me Crunch's lands would be the least bit bothered until I say so." She seamed to trail off. "The pack is loyal to me and only to me- or at least the key members are. I'm starting to see who's truely on my side and who belongs to that cat." She snarled at the shear mention of Algoma.
"Though I best not see you sneaking off again without my knoledge; unfortunatly I'm going to have to put you on close watch because of your recent wanderings. I hate to have to do this to you- but I'd have to do it to any member who masked there scent. I need you to prove I can trust you again. I don't think it will be to difficult for you to gain it back- but you can understand my precautions...can't you Alas?" She raised a brow towards her.
"But then again all might be forgivin depending on how the meeting with this other alpha gose...and I have conditions because as you can tell I'm a paraniod wolfess with the enemies I have. Only his mate and himself are allowed to attend as are me and Wazzam. You must leave when negotiations start." Again her eyes darted to Alas to make sure she was comprehending this. "Alpha matters only- I know Crunch will understand as I hope you are not offended by this request."
