grr....this night just happened recently....sometimes I really hate being a freshman.
So I have been having a bad day and we have to go and perform at the U of R for a home game (which our high school won btw) anyway, we are in our uniforms and ready to get on this bus when my day was just going to get to the ultimate worst when we were in lines at attention..it suddenly hits my that, "oh my god..my instrument is in my LOCKER!!!!" oh sh**! oh sh**! oh SH**!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the first thought that went through my mind was
"great, i let the band down, how could I have honestly left my baritone at school? its a BARITONE for god's sakes! how could I forget THAT????????????????" crying crying redface redface evil evil sweatdrop sweatdrop stressed stressed cry cry emo emo
funny thing was, the upperclassmen in my section calmed me down and said its not the end of the world, which to me seemed like it. And I thought my director was really going to get mad, but she has gone through years of kids doing that before, so its not new to her. had to march in the parade at the stadium without it, which wasn't TOO bad, considering that I would have messed up on the song a little anyways. Luckily I have pretty much the best section leader ever and he lent me his while he had to march with a concert euphonium in the field show... which totally made me feel bad because there was no support on that euphonium and it was reallly heavy. But he said it was no big deal...after a few minutes when we were done performing the show oh well...it happens right? I got over it when we were in the stands with Moore middle school talking to the future marchers coming to our high school and made a vow to myself NEVER EVER EVER NEVER let that EVER EVER happen again
but in a few years from now when I am senior, someone will be telling this about me when we are doing senior memories then I will laugh at my stupid immaturity hahahhahahaha.

lol I can't say I've ever forgotten my clarinet to a game, but I have forgotten it for school once. >.<
But once, this kid forgot his trombone and now everyone asks him if he has it before we leave on the bus. Haha. Poor kid.

I did something similar, but I got my instrument after the national anthem.
We had an away game a few weeks ago, and it was freezing and I really had to use the bathroom. I wasn't there when they unloaded the trailer, so I didn't get my flute. And on top of that, our team lost by 21 points (meaning we had a total of 0).
