What type of Wii Channels would you like to see? Look at some future Wii Channels to get ideas and feel free to discuss these. Quote: Future channels The following are Wii Channels that have been announced but have not yet been released. Mii Contest Channel"Mii Contest Channel" (formerly known as "Check Mii Out") is the title of a channel that will allow players to share their Miis and enter them in to popularity contests.[28] Perhaps based on an idea shared by famed video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto at the Game Developers Conference in 2007, the channel will also allow users to download their favorite Miis. This channel is due to be released in Japan in November 2007. Wii Fit ChannelIn coordination with their announcement of Wii Fit at E3 2007, Nintendo also issued a press release which stated that users of the game would be able to compare their results and progress on a new channel on the Wii Menu. Everybody's Nintendo ChannelEverybody's Nintendo Channel allows Wii users to download various demos and game trailers for both Wii and Nintendo DS where the channel will work in a similar way to DS Download Stations. A search feature will also be available to assist users in finding new games to try. This channel is due to be released in Japan in November 2007. TV Program Guide ChannelTV Program Guide Channel allows you to check what programs are on TV. Content will be provided by G-Guide and is set to launch in March 2008 in Japan. The Channel is said to be 'very fun and Nintendo-esque'.

A separate channel for video, and a separate channel for music. This way you know the Wii can play these without looking in the manual.

Demo Channel. (I should put this in my article).
It would make a good use of the Wi-Fi and can be used for like Brawl and other games that are coming out. So that way you know what you want to buy and play.

Yup. You know what I'm here to suggest. In fact, I don't even need to post my idea, you know what it is.

A game-video type channel. Allowing for user submitted videos for games that allow in-game recording (Boogie, THPG) to be easily updated to the internet.

I'd like a ******** Virtual Console Channel. And I don't mean the Shop Channel, I just want a god damned place to store my VC games aside from smack in the middle of the rest of my channels. This should already be on there in my humble opinion.
A "WiiVD Channel". Allow users who want DVD playing capabilities on their Wii to pay $10 to download the rights, and play DVDs through a sort of theater channel of some sort. That way, Nintendo finally gets out of the heat of not delivering on their DVD playing promises and people that really need their Wii to play DVDs can have that ability.
A sort of "IM Channel". I know it's kind of a stretch, but, then again, not really. The Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection is perfectly capable of maintaining numerous constant contact servers, as evidenced through the voice chat capabilities of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Allow keyboard and Wii Friends List support and I'd be all for it.
Now, as for my opinion to these announced channels, here you go:
-Mii Contest Channel: A fairly interesting idea, especially if the ability to download those Miis is included. However, though the Channel is an interesting idea, it is ultimately just a luxury that doesn't offer much for me. At least the Everybody Votes Channel showed some sort of Wii public opinion, this "just for fun channel" doesn't seem to offer anything very important. But if the download ability is in there, I will download it in a heartbeat.
-Wii Fit Channel: Useless. This should be part of the actual game, not a channel. I do not want this.
-Everybody's Nintendo Channel: A fabulous idea from the good people at Nintendo. By god, this is probably their best channel idea yet. I cannot stress how much I'd love to see this channel sooner rather than later. Searchable downloads for Wii and DS. Count mii in!
-TV Program Guide Channel: I guess this is supposed to go with the Forecast and News Channels. This is pretty much worthless to me. If I really want to see TV listings on my Wii, I can use the Internet Channel to find one. Plus, I have Comcast, which has a fairly intuitive TV Guide program built into it. Unnecessary, even for people who only have basic cable. If Nintendo wanted another "informative" sort of channel, they should have put something useful on there, like a Stock or Sports Channel.
