So, I haven't beenplaying for 4-5 month, and one of my friends asked me if she could borrow the game, I said yes.
When it said "rebuild" or something like that she thought that she could move houses and stuff like that. But she deleted my town. And came over, mad, cause she hated the game. And I hate her now. I HAD 15 HALOS!! AND OVER 25 HYBRIDS!! AND I WAS ONLY 3 FISHES AWAY FROM GETTING THE GOLDEN FISHROD. But I kinda love my new town. It has Move, Victoria and some other character I love... But I'm so poor agian, with my crappy house.... buuh

Just take a sigh, and move on.
Think of it this way:
You might lose things you worked for, but this is also a chance to change things you never could change.

The next day I played her's. Sence we both had 1 we knew how to play it so it was ok. But i would never lend it to anyone! I'd let them play it if i was sitting there tho. ^-^

yah, i never let anyone play my animal crossing in fear that that might happen. the only person who plays my ds is me and me alone.

I let my friend play mine for like 5 minutes ...but she picked all of my flowers....... will never let her play again !!! I only let her play cuz I felt bad for her because she doesn't have a game system of her own..other than a snes ( i've got one of those too but I also have a N64 and a Ps2,...and my ds so I have no issues or i don't feel the need to play with other people's games)

OMG the same thing happened to me!! I lend my friend my game and she thought rebuild means you can move the houses around and add new people and add a new character. Then she returned it to me and said that I was so poor, and I was like no...then i looked and found out she erased my town! I've been playing in that town for like 3 years!!!

 One cannot and must not try to erase the past... I like restarting games, I just recently restarted my AC. Think of it that you can collect only the things you want so you don't have mass amounts of stuff on the floor. Unless that's what you want I don't know... xd ...Merely because it does not fit the present.

Ouch, that's pretty bad! My dad had confiscated my DS so I couldn't play. I recently got it back though and as soon as we get back to our regular house I'll be able to play again. I don't let anyone borrow my DS, I'm too afraid they'll mess up the screens.
