Diamonds.
Pearls.
Gems.
Rocks.
Bones.
Feathers. Tattered Cloth.
Rotted Fruit. Sticks.
Strange beads.
Arrows Heads.
Xana tossed out all of his treasures as he came across them in his hidden den, past the borders of his thieving grounds; the Pride Lands. His paws dug at dirt to find any missing things that might have been buried under it all and he could not even tell if he had gotten them all out yet. His eyes popped free from the den and looked down at the pile of his, or rather, others' treasures. Items of value thrown all about for anyone to come and take them. One thing that stood out among the pile was a small green translucent gem. Staring at the dark, but brilliant glow of the mineral as the sun hit it.
He had to stop doing this... he was an adult now. He did not need to steal for thrills or for fun anymore. He had to focus on his life, he had other things to do. Grown up things. This gem... it was just like Kuumia... her green fur. Actually, that is the only thing that this gem could represent. Kuumia was fierce and strict and hurtful and independent... but she was still a female never the less... One that he cared for... even a little... even the little, tiniest....
Xanatos' paw reached slowly for that small gem, wanting it... needing it. Kuumia was the one who brought about his need to grow up and this gem represented her...
He wanted it.

Oh and how she felt that need. She could taste it on her lips, the lust for soemthing more passionately than love, the want for something more desperately even than life. She could smell it on the breeze and she followed that sweet greedy scent to it's source.
The larger than average goddess padded through the trees silently, which certainly considering her bulk, should have been impossible, but she seemed to glide. This was of course her natural way of moving, her dark fur highlighted by those white and shimmering red markings, her coal black eyes dark until her eyes caught upon the horde of treasure, then they turned to sparkling orbs of pure onyx. A puurr rolled over her lips as she walked towards the small beast before her, she stretched her wings, first her own, black as her coat, then the second pair, white as a doves, tiny thought hey were they caught the bright daylight of the savannah, twinkling and shimmering with the thousand tiny trinkets which lined them.
"Hello Dahling." She cooed, her eyes turning to the creature whos greed had pulled her here to this little trreasure trove of wonder, in such an unusual place too. Licking her dark lips she stopped in her advances and lay slowly, making herself extremely comfortable, becomeing akin to a huge dark housecat the smile on her chubby maw showing her pure, gleeful contentment.
"Ah little theif, it's hard to give up your ways isn't it? Sit and speak a while little horder, I do so enjoy your company." She rolled her tongue a rolling happy sigh whispering over her pursed lips.

Xana had heard of rumors of something like this. Lions with Wings... saying they were Gods and Goddesses. It was strange to see something like this, but he was not going to lose his composer. His sharp orange eyes glanced at her, his face as stern as ever. He was trying to start off by being his adult self, Xanatos... leaving behind the fake youth of Xivati. He knew what he was, protective and rather laconic, mysterious. He growled a little as she approached.
"You must be a Goddess... rumors of your kind float around here like how your wings carry you," he spoke deeply. "What brings a Goddess like you here? What business do you have with me that you must make yourself comfortable..."
He shifted around his pile of things, eyeing the female grudgingly. He was still greedy... he was still having a tough time convincing himself that what he wanted was something... something not this.
He paced on the opposite pile of the treasures, glaring at her.
"I can give away all of this. I am not sitting. And my name's Xanatos."

The dark female smirked at the others obvious discomfort. A puurr rolled over her tongue and she laughed. "Why dahling, you called me here." Her dark eyes shone brightly for a moment turning from the pile of treasure to the young male before her. "Please don't be so formal my sweet one, I am Ubuge and you needen't be so tence, I am not here to hurt you, your need for your treasures pulled me from my wanderings."
She laughed jovilly and in a rather snobbish manner, her voice ringing out through the bare trees. "You shoulkd keep your treasures my pet they do so make you that much more handsome in others eyes." She smiled, an honest smile, though those dark eyes showed no inkling of what she was really thinking.
She loved little theives, they were her lifes blood.

Xana looked down at them and wondered... Did they make him 'handsome'? He loved them, he could use them so much and there was only some left back in the den... but she did not need to know that. The cheetah snarled and swiped at it, throwing some of it into the air, falling only a short distance to the Goddess' flank.
"I don't need this! I have other things to chase after, something that actually responds to me when I look at it," he snarled and started to pace again. He did not want these things; they were nothing but paranoia. He believes that anyone who saw them would connect him to the fake identity Xivati. He liked someone now and he cannot seem like a weirdo by being paranoid of being caught all the time... he had a choice, give up an obsession and grow up, or keep these and continue to steal...
He looked at her just as her eyes looked down to his pile. ... idea.
"Ubuge... you are the Goddess of Greed, right?... or perhaps it was Lust... I can see how your eyes sparkle at my treasure..." he smirked. "Does your own greed drive you to want it? If you so touch it, it is all yours."

"Yes dahling I am the goddess of greed, though you needn't be so formal with me little theif." She smiled eyeing the small treasure trove with a puurr. "If you wish to rid yourself of everything I will happily take your treasures, however I am obliged to grant you something in return." Her dark eyes glimmered and an almost motherly smile came to her maw.
She wasn't entirely wiling to give up this little theif, she liked to have them within her domain and though she knew that he still held on to some treasures, to take his little pile she could grant him a gift. "Perhaps a present for your lady friend hmm?" She purured softly, age had braught her great wisdom, she had lost creatures like this one before because of the fleting feeling of love, she had won many back by offering them an item with which to gift their loved one, in a way, it created a feeling of greed and that was somehting she needed to exsist.
"I have many pretty trinkets I could offer you for the one you give your life away for, perhaps I can tempt you with a small triffle, in return for such a beautiful horde hmm?"

He scoffed. He was not stupid, when things are given they are taken. But to give something back is of two things; a symbol of gratitude or a trick. How she kept talking about Kuu and trinkets... it just rubbed him the wrong way. He laughed for a moment.
"Oh, Ubuge, do not take me for a fool! I am a thief by trade, I have lied and cheated many to get what I had wanted. I have tricked and fooled many to have them fall to their bellies for me; don't you think I can see a trick? I am a clever one, Ubuge, I have only met you and I can already tell you are up to no good. Not every God is good I assume, and I just happened to believe you are one of those bad ones," he smirked a bit of Xivati's cocky rudeness was still in him. He scoffed and stood straight up.
"Take your treasure and go, Goddess of Greed, being of Exalted status, do not belittle me. I can speak to you in anyway I prefer. You cannot tempt me with anything, I have given up my greed. My lust for those things shiny. I will not envy you for what you have and I will only lust over one thing and one thing alone for the time. Something you better find if you wish to be happy... a happiness that none of your junk can give you," he smirked. Telling her off... angering a God was not very smart but he felt rather proud that he was giving up such a big part of his life now that he felt rather... invincible!
"You may be a Goddess, Ubuge, but that won't stop me from trying to hurt you if you try to trick me. Just take your treasure, satisfy your greed, and leave."

"There is no need to be rude little theif." The large goddess shifted slightly, showing she had no intention of moving off, the treasures wern't going any where after all, she had ways of collecting things and she could wait. "Really dahling you are so clever, you sit and claim you relinquish your past, yet I'm sure you still have things tucked away, theives do not just give up their lively hood dahling, it's not somethign they do." She smirked then stretching out in a relaxed manner, she had no intention of attacking the foolish mortal, what reason did she have to fight?
Her clawed paws stretched forwards as she stretched, her being flashing the tousand jewels and trinkets she horded upon her being. "You should show some respect to your elders little theif, there is no need to be a cocky a**, if you wish me to take your meagre horde I will, I only offered a trifle as payment but if you do not want for anything but your little lover it is your loss."
She yawned then, her pink tongue lapping over her lips. "I am not bad dahling, I simply know what I want." She smirked closeing her eyes her whole form taking on a sence of ease, a puurr rolling over her lips. She had no intention of simply leaving. the young male angered her speaking to her in such a way, she was far from the most beloved of gods, but she had only a few times been spoken to in such a rash manner. Did he not realise that she was a goddess? She required at least a little respect, nay demanded a little respect, she had shown this male nout but kindness and he spoke to her like a mere under the foot mortal. How dare he.
Of course all these were mere thoughts, seemingly she had gone to sleep wheer she lay, the sun playing over her fur.

"I do as I want, Goddess. I wonder why you don't have others following you like a loyal, faithful pet. Greed being your domain, I would assume you could bribe anyone into doing just about anything. I may reliquish my past today, tomorrow, or perhaps the next moon, but you won't be tricking me," he laughed at her and paced some more. He was gonna get the last of Xivati out of his life... he will grow up soon, he could feel his more calm, collected, protective self becoming stronger within him. Xivati was a young and innocent persona that it was fighting an uphill battle.
Xanatos smirked and hurried himself in the den. Only seconds later did dirt and debris come flying out of the den. Shortly after, pieces of shiny rocks, gems, jewels, and more of his buried things became unearthed and fell close to the pile. The cheetah exited and grinned.
"That is all of what I have, nothing remains in this damned den and this pile is yours. I need nothing from you but your Greed. Take all of this and leave me be. I have no further use for a Goddess with such a dirty domain. In fact, stay if you want, but I will go," he turned and started, but stopped for a strange reason.
"It's your choice to take them, Ubuge, I want nothing in return as it is just another weakness to Greed. I have given up my past, I do not want Greed in my life that it becomes a sin like you. I will not kill for greed. I will not steal for greed. I relinquish Xivati. And as for you... you are but a mortal in my eyes. Stay away from me and those around me. I do not want to see you again." With those last words to the Goddess of Greed, he left her at the burrow with his pile of treasure and a ransacked den .
He stopped a few yards away under a baobao tree. He had dug at the roots and reached down into the hole. He withdrew a little emerald, similar to the one from before and some tattered cloth he had found when he roamed an abandoned two-leggers nesting site. He examined the gem in the sky, thinking of none other than that who made him give up his cove of treasures...
"I don't need her to give me anything... I can do it myself."
Greed is a sin... it always resides in the hearts of some... even if a little.

The dark goddess smirked as he padded away, silly little theif, there was no leaving her somain. As he walked away a single dark eye opened and followed his progress. She was more than a little annoyed by the way he spoke to her, mortal? No mortal was as beautiful as she. Snorting she stood lashing her tail and padded towards the large pile of merchandise which she slowly sifted through with her paws.
She smiled at the horde of little treasures, nothing of too much value, but she could appreciate that this little pile was of value to the foolish mortal. She would accept it as payment for his tongue but she decided she would repay him one day for his rudeness.
There was really no need for such words. Her dark eyes shimmered, she would show him that she was no mortal, she could wait forever to repay him his cheek.
