Yes, at this moment I am eating yummy apple pie, drinking coffee(I'm slowly making my way through the pot since my big cups are in the dishwasher), and thinking over my Halloween. Actually, being a gaian, I refuse to relinquish Halloween until its over on Nov. 4th. So today until the forth shall be Halloween awesomeness!
Now, what did everyone do on All Hallows Eve? Set the yard on fire and invite the friendly spirits into your home to partake of meat and cider? Ring your neighbor's doorbell and leave an angry looking Jack o' Lantern at their doorstep wrapped in a baby blanket with a letter telling them to take care of their new baby boy? Make a child wet their pants? (-snicker-) Start tellin'! twisted

Our family has a headless straw-man that we make a jack-o-lantern head for every year (+ however many more jack-o-lanterns that we can manage, of which this year there were three). We have agravestone, barbed wire etc that we put out front, an electric bat with glowing red eyes that we suspend from a wire who flies in circles at the end of the front walk and a pirate flag we fly from our flagpole. I also stick a 'spooky sounds' CD on via my ocomputer and peek my computer speakers out the downstairs windo round the side of the house so that the scariness is blasting out towards the driveway as trick-or-treaters approach.
Dissapointingly we had waaaay less toters than last year even though it was twice as warm! sad

D: What could possibly account for this anomaly?

My Halloween was fairly uneventful.
I live in an isolated spot so we don't get trick-or-treaters. I made up a few treat bags for some kids I know and delivered them.
My sister-in-law and I took our kids out trick-or-treating but it didn't last very long. My son is only 10 months old so he really didn't care/didn't know what was going on, and her 5 year old daughter was too shy to go knocking on doors for candy so the night ended early. It started to rain shortly after we got home.
So, for the rest of the night I curled up on the couch watching a scary movie on tv. neutral

Hey, I still go trick or treating although I'm always tempted to pay some kid to go with me so the people giving the candy can stop asking if I'm to old to be trick or treating....-twitches- Or perhaps a kidnapping is in order....-grins evilly- I know some people with younger siblings that might be easily captured and bribed...Bwhahahahaha! Someone supposedly dressed like the tooth fairy and went trick or treating, giving out floss and dental stuffs. The idea was AWESOME! Squeee!

O.O You know... come to think of it... my brother still looks like he's ten... we could totally have pulled that off this year. XD Of course, do it now, after halloween would make it seem REALLY awkward.

I'd pass out candy on Halloween, it was fun actually. Kinda awkward but fun. So many cute kiddies heart and I think only one was a bit to old for it.

I think I had a rant a little farther up about how you're never too old to trick or treat. The parents just get a little stingy when it comes to the older trick or treaters. C'mon! Candy is good and we are honoring ancient tradition here! On an off note, has anyone ever been Caroling?

I've never actually gone door to door carolling, but when I lived in the UK about 13 years ago, I was a member of the school choir and we sang christmas songs at a local church around the holidays. It was kind of embarrassing. sweatdrop
