Welcome to the Anubii RP thread!
You're welcome to RP directly in this thread or create a separate thread in the RP Subforum. If you'd prefer your RPing be limited to only certain people I'd suggest creating your own thread with a note in the first post designating it as a private RP. If you RP in this thread anybody is allowed to join in.
Regardless of where you RP please take a moment to read over the rules and information regarding Anubii RP.
:: The Rules ::
Please keep all OOC (out of character) conversations in the main shop thread or the OOC thread. If you have any small comments having to do with RP then put "OOC:" before them. If you have any questions about buying, breeding, selling, trading, etc, please take that to the main thread. This place is RP only.
Be friendly and respectful to your fellow RPers. If a problem comes up then contact me.. don't set off a flame war. Won't accomplish anything.
PG-13 people. I don't care what fascinating things you think your Anubii is up to.. but if it isn't appropriate for young eyes then we don't need to hear about it.

:: Anubii Egypt Map & Terrain ::
Here we have the basic map of Anubii Egypt. The first person to point out to me that it doesn't resemble real Egypt is gonna get a shoe thrown at them. I'm well aware that this map doesn't look like any part of Egypt. This is for three reasons. 1. To promote creativity. 2. To prevent people from arguing about what's what. 3. Because I'm lazy. X3
:: Humans & Anubii ::
Anubii Egypt is pretty primitive in terms of technology. The town is lit with lamps and torches, there's no tv and people get things around with wagons and carts. Most humans in town get along with Anubii, though humans can't understand what Anubii say (Anubii can understand humans). Humans are forbidden to cross the river toward Anubii Temple. The exception to this are Anubii owners, who are welcome in the Temple. If you'd prefer your Anubii not have an owner you're not required to RP one.
:: Anubii Temple ::
Most Anubii choose to stay at Anubii Temple; a safe sanctuary with all the things an Anubii could want. Anubis is the god in charge here and protects the Anubii. Despite this, there are plenty of Anubii rogues and wild packs, typically found in the caves of the mountain region and the unexplored terrain west of Anubii Temple.
:: Have Fun! ::
You're allowed plenty of creative freedom in RP. You're welcome to add extra pyramids, oasis, etc wherever you please. Special custom Anubii are permitted to have futuristic qualities, though please refrain from sending any Jackals soaring around in space ships. Keep in mind that no matter how futuristic or bizarre, your Anubii is still a member of the canine family, walks on all fours and has dog mannerisms. Your Anubii cannot operate complex machinery, regardless of what items they have on their cert (guns, vehicles, etc). The only exception to this would be a special judge ability enabling your Anubii to wield complex objects.. but even in this case, try not to go overboard. Just look at their big paws and imagine how difficult it'd be to do stuff. XP
:: Anubii & Gaia ::
Several people have asked if the Anubii world is part of the Gaia world. Because I know a lot of people are fond of RPing their Gaia personas, I'm going to say yes. But Anubii Egypt isn't anywhere near towns like Barton and Durem. It's on another continent on the other side of the world. The people in the village north of Anubii Temple wouldn't know anything about Johnny Gambino or gnome infestations. Anubii Egypt is pretty well cut off from the rest of the world.
:: Fun Facts ::
- Anubii pups and jackals have enhanced abilities depending on their glyph. A lotus Anubii might be able to see fuzzy glimpses of things to come and a scarab Anubii is likely to be abnormally strong. Judges have much more bizarre powers, however. Judge Anubii usually develop one particular ability that may or may not have to do with their glyph.
- Anubii ears aren't just for looks. Anubii are known for their remarkable hearing, as well as their sharp sense of smell.
- Anubii pups cannot fly. Their wings are much too small. Anubii jackals can't fly either, but instead use their wings to enhance their powerful leaps. Anubii Judges are typically very skilled at flight.
- Anubii ankhs are very small; roughly 5 inches in height. Anubii pups are larger than a typical small dog. Anubii jackals are larger than a typical big dog. Anubii judges are nearly the size of small horses.
- Anubii Fairies are much smaller than standard Anubii. On average they stand about 1 ft. tall and walk upright like humans. Anubii Fairies are androgynous in nature, though some act more masculine while others act more femenine. (For RP purposes you're welcome to apply a specific gender - it just won't appear on the cert). Unlike Anubii Jackals, Anubii Fairies are very adept when it comes to flying. Typically they spend more time in the air than on the ground. Their most common hobbies include pranks, mischief and games.
:: More About Anubii Temple ::
Below is an excerpt from the RP where Lilla shows a group of Anubii to Anubii Temple. I used it as an opportunity to describe the Temple itself, so I'm reposting it here for anyone else who'd like more detail.
Quote: After continuing onward for a long while a hazy shadow appeared in the distance. It seemed like they'd been away from the river much longer than they had. As they approached the structure's features became clearer; a long colonnade stretched out before a giant temple. A statue of Anubis in jackal form perched atop the towering structure. Unlit torches littered the perimeter of the building, though their scorched tops indicated they were lit every night. The building looked very old; battered by sand and time. Hints of pale paint indicated that ages ago the Temple had been a vibrant purple.
Lilla led the group along the colonnade to the entrance. The towering doors were wide open, allowing a view of the temple's interior... which was surprisingly pristine. Though the outside of the structure was aged and tired, the inside looked brand new. Reflective marble lined the floors, towering columns dotted the expansive interior, glistening Anubis fountains decorated the walls, burning lamps hung from long chains at the ceiling and just about everything was decorated in gold.
Lilla smirked, "This is Anubii Temple." She spun around to see the group, "Placed here by Anubis himself to meet the needs of any Anubii who chooses to stay here. There's plenty of fountains for drinking, a substantial food supply and tons of comfortable rooms stuffed with fancy pillows. A lot of Anubii choose to live in other areas of the desert, rather than relying on Anubis' generosity.... but me? I'm all about living the good life." That said, she turned again and trotted indoors, turned left and disappeared down a random hallway to the room she'd claimed for herself.

Motoko sighed. "Well it's your body not mine-" She was about to try and plea with him again when a rather large chunk of the ceiling fell between the two. It took less then a second for Motoko to turn tail and head towards the entrance. If Spike wanted to fry so be it- he was always stubborn in things like that. "Well if you change your mind when you get out here- and I'm thinking you will...I'll be keeping the Judges wings for good measure..." She glared at the Judge and mumbled to herself. I know Spikes going to hate me for this but- Turning she spoke lowly so only Bullseye could hear. "The moment my friend- and yes he is a vampire you overgrown prat...leaves the crypt, your to sheild him with your wings...if he gets one burn mark on him I'll give you a mark 3 times the size on you..."

Bullseye burst out laughing at Pandora's comment. She might look like an innocent pup, but she certainly didn't speak like one.
"Yeah that's him..."
The judge turned a grin down on Pandora.
"Ya know kid, you're pretty fun....unlike certain other people in this desert...oh look, speaking of the devil..."
Bullseye turned his usual smirk on the approaching Motoko, listening to her instructions.
"Listen, you don't have to threaten me every five seconds ya know. I'm not an idiot like that Darth guy, and I'm not some little pup you need to babysit."
The judge spread his wings, casting a shadow around himself, Pandora, and Motoko.
"I'll shield your little friend, but if you make one shitty comment to me on the trip the shade goes bye bye, and I doubt you could do a thing to me to stop it."
Bullseye didn't try to puff himself up, or make those words seem any more threatening than they already were. He knew his capabilities, and he knew he'd carry through if the situation called for it...no reason to dwell on it.

Pandora looked up at the judge and grinned. "I try." Then she too looked towards the swiftly approaching Motoko and gave her a sarcastic smile. She sure was running fast for somebody who claimed to be an all powerful robot. She giggled and then got to her feet, prepared to follow the older Anubii to wherever they were headed.
Spike grinned and stopped to admire the view of Motoko's departing backside and then started off swiftly after her as a rock smacked into his back. "Alright I'm coming." Grimacing he slowly crossed the border between darkness and light, hoping he wouldn't burst into flame before they found shelter.

Motoko gritted her teeth but knew when to hold her tounge. "Fine I won't badger you- you won't lift your wing off of Spike....We have a deal?" She watched as Spike came closer to the light. He's so not going to like this She muttered to herself again, But it's for his own good. She sighed and walked closer to the crypt- which now the top part was sinking into it's bottom half. Rubble was pouring down it's sides like a water fall. "Eh hurry up Spike- I know the sun isn't appealing- but what do you prefer being a pizza or hopefully living threw this?" She stopped and mused to herself. What ever did happen to that crazied Judge?

"Yes yes...we have a frickin deal."
Bullseye made sure to take his sweet time following Motoko over to Spike, but at least he managed to get there before Spike was forced out into full sunlight.
"Cmon, it isn't exactly intelligent to be standing under a crumbling building now is it?"
The judge spread his wings once more, casting shadow all around Spike so he'd be safe from the big bad evil sun.
"I got the sun issue covered, now get your asses out here and let's go."

Spike glared at both Motoko and the judge, not liking this one bit. "I'm not a baby, I can handle a little pain." However he didn't really fancy being buried under the ruble of the crypt so he grudgingly allowed the judge to shield the sun from his pale fur.
Pandora hopped up to Motoko and stared up at her. "So where exactly are you planning on taking us?" She asked with an annoyed look on her face. "Because if you haven't noticed," at this she nodded her head towards the land around them, "There is nothing but sand, sand, and more sand for miles."
Blind Seer had stayed apart from the others as they had debated and discussed the situation but at Pandora's comment he looked around as well. "There really doesn't seem to be much of anythig nearby.... Do you have a place in mind?" He asked Motoko politely hoping she did have a plan and wasn't just leading them no where.

Motoko had been more concerned with getting Spike out of the building then she had into where they were going. "Actully I do have a place in mind you little prat-" She turned and glared at Pandora dislikeing her more and more by the moment. "We are going back to that abandoned bar we found Dharma at- if they haven't torn it down it will make a wonderful hidding place- at least until night anyways...then we can find someplace more sutiable..." She turned to Bulls who looked like he was a bit of a drinker and bated him abit. "And I'm sure there's leftover booze in there if I'm not mistaken..."

Bullseye kept his wings spread far, assuring the fact that Spike was safe. He turned his attention to Motoko a moment, raising a brow, but saying nothing. Even if she had caught his interest, he wouldn''t let onto it.
"...so are we going to stand here all day using me as a sunshade or can we possibly get going?"

Pandora scoffed and glared up at Motoko even though she was almost three times her size. "Excuse me? You better watch your step Roboto. Someday I'll be a hell of a lot bigger than you and then we will see who's the prat."
"Sounds like a good idea to me." Even with the two jackets and the judges wings for protection, the sun was getting to him. "The sooner I'm out of this the better. And I could most definintly use a drink." He then looked towards Pandora and gave her a shocked and dissaproving look. "Pandora!! That is not an acceptable way to speak to your elders!! Especially Motoko!!" He growled at her, and was very tempted to swat her, however that would have resulted in his leg catching fire so he refrained.

She smirked at the pup and would have loved to haul off and belt Pandora- but she figured she'd leave that to Spike when they reached the bar. She was his charge after all. Personaily she would very much enjoy watching such a display- the little runt deserved it after all. Quickly she began to walk towards the abandoned town. Glanceing back ever so often to make sure that Spike was okie, he wasn't a pile of ash...but if she didn't speed them all up he would be. "Pandora- shut up really...I know you dislike me- but I doubt you want to see Spike dead- er...well you know what I mean; and everytime you open up your big mouth- you make him weaker because he has to yell at you- so do us all the favor and CAN IT!" She growled slightly then spotted the town. The bar was still standing like she had hoped and the town reaked of booze like before. "There- thats where we are going..." She pointed to a sign that looked freshly painted as a berleske(sp) house. "And I think it's inhabitied by humans once again- oh this is going to be interesting..."

Bullseye snickered at Pandora's actions.
"Sheesh lighten up, the pup's just finally telling you the one thing you all need to learn. Shut. The. Hell. Up."
The judge leaned his head down to whisper to Pandora, still keeping his wings up for shade.
"You go for it, grow big and strong and kick the female's a**...I'll be rooting for ya kay?"
He gave her a smirk before straightening back up. The targeted judge remained quiet the rest of the trip, holding up to his end of the bargain perfectly. As they neared the town he sighed slightly in relief...it was getting tiring holding his wings up like this.
"Humans...so what? Not like they can do anything to us."
He apparently didn't really care about the fresh coat of paint the sign had received.

Pandora rolled her eyes at Motoko and decided her speech was too stupid to respond to. Grinning up at Bullseye she nodded and set her mind to do just that. At least there was one Anubii here who didn't think she was "out of line." She decided to pay careful attention to Bullseye's actions and learn from him. He seemed very powerful plus he was sarcastic like her so he was way more fun to be around then these other idiots.
Spike glanced at the sign and scowled. "Well personally I would prefer to stay away from the humans but we don't exactly have a choice." He perked his ears and listened to the loud talking and banging of glasses coming from inside the bar. "I guess we better go on in..."

She nodded not likeing humans one bit herself- but at least there was a fresh supply of booze. "I'm sure the humans won't be much of a problem- you bite one or two of em...and the'll all run away like last time...we might even get into another rip roaring fight..." She mused, something about terriozing drunken humans was amuzing to her. "I for one am ready to get my rage out for that stupid Dark Helmit Dog thing that keeps attacking us- what the blazes dose it have wrong with it anyways..." She continued to mutter, livid at Pandora pushing her way in the door. The humans didn't take much notice of her, but she did...picking up his booze she literatly kicked a man half across the room sending all noramal activity into an uproar. It was like a chain reaction- the man that flew across the room, hit one of the dancers who was flirting with a guy that was toating a gun and aiming it at a guy cheating him in poker, it just went on an on until the whole place was once again fighting one another. People were shooting randomly and others were beating each other with chairs. Motoko couldn't care less; she had a day of it. With her temples throbing she swiped another mans mug of booze and went to drinking peacefully ignoring all that went on behind her. If that didn't amuze Bullseye she didn't know what would...this chaos was almost her sign of thanks for helping them out. Plus it would give Spike plenty of people to choose from to regain his energy.

Bullseye quickly nudged Spike inside the bar so he could finally rest his wings. He was just about step foot inside when he heard the rather loud commotion caused by Motoko. The judge peeked inside, ears perked as he watched the humans all around get into an all out brawl.
"....well this is certainly........interesting..."
And on top of it all, there was Motoko calmly drinking.
"o...kay..."
He seemed more in shock than anything else. Not by the massive brawl, but more by the fact that Motoko had caused it. Eventually shaking it off, he stepped inside and went about swiping his own drink.
