I'm not sure I'd want a snorkle on a sinking ship; I don't think I'd be able to stay above the surface too long, especially if it was in a stormy ocean.
In all seriousness though I'll never abandon ship. I'll probably be in this guild for months after it dies, checking every week for new posts before I quit. I tend to be that way.

Me too.
A better idea, I'd think would be for us remaining few still active people to re-group somewhere else somehow. This place is uneccesarily big for the amount of people. The only reason to stay here would be incase more people come eventually, but I doubt that will happen.
To a life boat?

I CAN ASSURE YOU that in the event that everyone in this guild leaves, the forums will be filled with EI talking to herself. As long as there are several people set on staying to the very end, the very end won't happen.
However, I have been finding the Gaia guild quite restricting. Once you add a subforum you can't delete it, and your subforums can't have subforums and so on. A lot of the features that the main forums have are not found in guilds. Somewhere away from Gaia, I think, would possibly be better.

What if you moved all the threads still worth using from some of the subforums, and put them into re-named (if possible) subforums?
Then, would it be possible to make the unused subforums into view-only or something? That way, we'd have a guild to fit the amount of people it holds.

Also, does anyone else this find kinda sad? Although the guild is quiet nowadays, I don't think I was really that active when there were loads of people here anyway, so the difference isn't as striking to me.
Anyway, I'd rather stay in this guild than start a new one, because an already established guild is more likely to lure in more people, or returning hibernating people.
The Scholars Guild, no offense, was a flop, for example. sweatdrop

It was. It didn't cater to a particularly large group of gaia-peoples, so mbluh. Hmm, let me think, who is it that seems to still be around lately? Me, doi EI Lawrencew Kyuuketsuki Doppleganger Kalathma That seems to be just about it lately.

I wish I could find a way to lure Happy-Kindness (god, I don't remember his current username) back. It was fun having a crazy, overly bouncy and joyful Scientologist running around posting in every single thread.
xd
DavidGemmell seems to be back, which makes me happy. He's been around for a looooong time. surprised

Oh, and I'm thinking an Invision forum might be nice. I know phBB is a better format, but for some reason I really like Invision ones.
-scuttles off-
Oh, but what should we call it? If it's no longer affiliated with Gaia, it seems a bit odd to call it a guild.

Lingua Land! gonk Invision forums are like this. That's the one I frequent. Is awesomez0rz, by the way. But there there's a lot of control offered over the forum, which would be nice. I think I'll go make it. I'll just call it the Polyglot forum for now, but we'll have to come up with another name soon because there already -is- a forum called Polyglot.

You are the master of knowing about internet message boards, eh. You are also a name stealer. But no matter. So, how hard is it to create one of these blabbermcjaggers?

Very, very easy.
I'm trying to put a decent skin on it. It already exists.
