(( I'm going to asume this happened shortly after the meeting with Rin ))
They had remained to wait for Rin, hoping that the situation with her and her family would be okay. Kidondo was eager to move on. It seemed he had aquired the wander lust and his paws itched to continue their journey. To think! If their search had brought htem two promising outsiders already, what other bounties could the land hold? Kidondo hated the idea of leaving any acceptable rogue wandering for too long, especially when they were so desperate to find followers.
Well, followers weren't really the fight word. Sure, Kidondo and No were leading them but they would be working together in partnership. Kidondo was not a King yet and although he planned for to be one day, for now he was a simple rogue. No he was worse than a rogue, he was a banished rogue.
He had managed to keep those haunting thoughts of his father away from his mind long enough to feel content, however. He couldn't keep thinking about the fight that would eventually happen. He had to look to recruiting first.
He turned to No. "Fortune looked down on me the day I found you." He spoke. "I could have done none of this without your help." He buffetted his head against hers and dared to twine his red tail with her own black one. "Not only did you give me the courage to stand up to my father, you also found us promising rogues."

Like a snake, she twined across his broad shoulders and chest as his own tail pushed against hers. “Mm. They’ll have to change what they say about black cats then,” She mused. But more seriously, her expression changed, and she rooted her feet in the ground. “But, don’t be quick to underestimate yourself.” She smiled, pulling her head upwards to look at him. It was a feat she could do without either of them really moving- even with his firekin heritage, Kidondo was quite imposing when compared to the sleek female.
“You can list all the ways to be thankful, but you would always be somebody.” She thrummed. “No one can take that away from you.” She didn’t even want to voice what she’d be without him. What would have happened to her? Would she be the mother of some dozen cubs laying flat on their sides and taking in the sun? It might have been the dream of other lionesses- her family’s dream, but she could not…
She couldn’t let herself be like that. But without Kidondo she would have never found the purpose for all that feeling. For being willing to sacrifice that luxury for strife willingly. It would have dwelled in her like a cancer and surely driven her mad.
“Let’s see who she brings.” No smiled, changing the subject. “I like this girl.”

Like a vagrant with no cause or without the coursing need to uprise and fight, 'Duzi truged through the tall grass with a simple motive: To find Rin. The last time he was with her was nearly two days ago and there was something, a feeling, that cringed in the pits of his stomach with the thought that something had happened to her or perhaps her family had caught them together. His jowls clenched as a snort exhaled through his nostrils, his thick, rugged mane of black whisping about as his tail swayed to and fro.
"I swar ta' whateva's 'oly- I'll be makin' a row an' a mess o' horlicks if anyones laid a paw on 'er," he grumbled, a low growl rising from his throat. Even the thought of someone harming the lioness- no, his lioness, his lover, caused a spiteful and foul hatred to boil within his blood.
His pace was slow as his ears perked upwards while his muscle bunched slightly. 'Duzi opened his maw slightly, intaking the scents from the air through his mouth and nose while his deep, crimson eyes looked around. "Rin?" He mumbled, brows knitting as he swore she was near or, perhaps, was near earlier. Glancing around again as he could feel his heart nearly skip a beat, the rogue leapt a step or two and kicked up his pae with a hearty stroll. As he was searching for another scent, it seemed that he was on the trail of something or someone else. And such a realization caused him to tense slightly and stand his place.
"Bloody 'ell, is it always this confusing?" He whined, walking to the left where a lone, rather large rock had long planted itself within the thickets of brush and tall grass. Giving a small leap onto the rock face, 'Duzi slumped onto his haunches and began looking around for a few minutes until he gave up and began to use his vocals rather than his eyes.
"Rin?"
There was no reply.
"Co'mon Marra, jus' give me a sign an' I'll come!" He hollared, his voice thick with a rather strange accent and a mildly deep tone. But there was no answer. Thus, the rogue slumped further onto his stomach and waited...hopefully he'd get some sort of sign.
Where could Rin be?

(( I am so sorry for the long wait, I completely missed this thread. If I take longer than a few days, be sure to fling a PM to remind me ;o; *hugs all round* ))
He purred contentedly. Nothing was so wonderful as spending time with the one he loved. He rubbed his chin against the top of her nose and nodded agreeably. "Rin is perfect, any friends of hers are undoubtably going to be promising too." He nuzzled into her. "We make the perfect team, don't you think? No one can beat us if we stick together." And it was true, he felt far more confident and strong next to No. They set each other off perfectly.
And then the voice, a strangers voice calling a familiar name.
Rin? Kidondo's ears swivvelled and he rose up onto all fours, raising his head and tail high. Was this their candidate? But if so, why was he calling Rin? Hadn't she gone to fetch him?
He parted his jaws and roared, not an agressive roar, just a roar to inform the stranger that there wa life nearby, just not the life he was looking for.
