If a girl could sing the part, and look the part. Could one play it?

There is a cast in Japan of all females that puts on the show.

However, no real woman could sing baritone/tenor very well, since women's voices are not made to go to that low of an octave. So, I very much doubt one could successfully play the role onstage.

A man who felt too much
A man with scars too deep
A man whose name meant only fear and scorn

If her name is Wao Yoka... <3

I don't really think any girl would be comfortable playing Erik outside an all-women cast, even if she could sing as low as the part goes, because of the love scenes and stuff. Erik is strictly a guy role, we can dream what we please. Exceptions: all-female productions

A man who longed to touch
A man who longed to weep
A man whose only crime was being born
