Description (Taken from someone else but it is accurate) :
The story takes place in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
In spring, a mysterious student transfers to Magami Academy. His name is Hiyuu Tatsuma. Then, he meets Horaiji Kyoichi of the kendo club, Daigo Yuya of the wresting club, Sakurai Komaki of the kyudo (Japanese archery) club, and Misato Aoki who is the student leader, as if they were attracted by something. Being influenced by Ryumyaku or Dragon Vein, which became active suddenly, they are awakened as "persons who posses powers". Since that day, monsters called "Oni" appear and begin to assault Tokyo. Also, those who use evil power to control Oni appears. To protect Tokyo from them, Tatsuma and his friend stand up to fight. Then, they have to face their destiny....

Honestly, I loved this anime series. It went up to 2 seasons (and then youtube decided to takes action because of copyrighted laws. -_-)
The villain, as least in the first season, isn't much cliche as you expect him to be. Sometime, he'll appears to attack the heroes, sometime, he just have his demons to work for him. He have a strange history with Hiyuu (something clan-wise relation) and died in the end of the first season.
I recommended to watch some of these episodes to see if you are interested or not.
