Aurora's apartment was on the top floor of the building, only a few feet from the elevator. The door was a simple whitewashed pine that seemed worn, a brass peak hole that matched the brass door nob that too, looked old and used. The first thing that gave a visitor any reason to feel uneasy in the confines of Mistress NightWing's Apartment was that the number 666 hung just below the peak hole.
When you enter into the apartment the main room is dimly lit but a roaring fire on the far side of the room, and candles spread throughout the room. Dark rich colors decorate the living space, overstuffed, lush couches and chairs circle the fireplace taking up most of the room. A dark wood cabinet, with Gothic ornamentations, with a glass front, held historic bondage items, old collars and goblets.
Of to the right was the kitchen, better lit with an over head lamp. Butcher block counters and black tile floors only help the rich red pain darken the room more. Herbs hang near the window, the main source of light for the room, and utensils hang from a rack over the butcher block island. A small dark wood table sat on the other end of the kitchen, four matching chairs circled the lion foot table, a small arrangement of candles and incense decorate the middle of it.
Back in the main room two more doors can be seen off to the left. One leads to Aurora's bedroom. A large Gothic Canopy bed sits in the middle of the far wall, a large dark wood wardrobe sits against the wall to the right. Reds and Blacks, thick fabrics and candles continue to dominate the style of the room. On the left wall is a large floor length mirror, though it seems blank, not reflecting the opposite wall.
The other door leads to a dormitory style room. Rudimentary bunk beds line the walls, trunks at the end of each stack there for slaves to store their few belongings. The walls are an asylum white, the beds crude steel frames do little to warm the room. Only one pillow and a thin blanket are folded and set on each bed. The room holds a total of twelve bed, twelve slaves who would all learn where that blank mirror in Aurora's room really meant.
