Absinthe was dancing along, her body in its natural foal-sized state instead of the bumblebee-sized form she had grown attached to. However, that form took up energy, and today she would much rather save her energy for something more exciting. Besides, being small meant less attention, unless you were with someone else who could change sizes, and right now she wasn't, so this size was more fun.
She sparkled in the sun above like... a sparkly green fairy-pony...? She pondered, head tilting as she walked. That didn't sound very descriptive.

Vanilla was watching something interesting in front of her. She had spent the morning idly walking around, but now it seemed she had found something worth following! Another horse was in front of her, but it wasn't very big. It was.. her size?! That in itself was enough to make her curious!
The other's coloring was much different from hers, and that intrigued the pony. The mare was very green, with pretty flowers in her mane and tail. Vanilla decided to huff her chest out and use some confidence to go talk to this creature. Hopefully the mare was nice.. if not, Vanilla would surely be in trouble!
With a light bounce, she increased her speed so that she was now approaching the mare. The mare had some pretty wings on her back, and Vanilla let her bright eyes oberserve the interesting edges. "Hello there!" she then blurted out.

She whirled as the voice came from behind her. Amber-gold eyes lighted on the tan and white mare, and she smiled happily, noting that the female was her own size. "Hello!" she sang back, standing in place, waiting for the other figure to catch up to her. "Isn't it a shiny day?"

Vanilla widened her eyes out of happiness and gleamed at the mare's response. She was sort of confused as to why the day was shiny, but that sounded cheerful enough! "Yes, today is quite lovely isn't it?" With a slight pause, she stumbled closer to the female and wiggled her ears.
"So what's your name? My name is Vanilla! And what's up with your pretty wings? Can you fly??" Staring closer, she nudged her nose forward while bringing her eyes back on the mare's. Maybe she was being a bit pushy, but the mare's personality looked as though it could handle that. "I have never seen wings before, they are pretty!"

Who cared WHY the day was shiny? The fact of the matter was that every day sparkled in Absinthe's eyes. "I'm Absinthe." she said, grinning happily in response to the Usdia's question. "Vanilla is a really tasty name. And I can fly!" she looked so happy! And Vanilla was so cute! Absinthe lifted into the air, turning even smaller and flying in a circle around Vanilla's head. "I like wings."

"Woaa.." The Usdia then said, and she grinned excitedly as the other Soquili flew around. "That really is amazing, I am jealous!" Though.. Vanilla would probably be afraid to fly around all the time, since heights tended to freak her out. "Its nice to meet you, Absinthe! Though.. I am confused, why aren't you big like all of the other horses?" Vanilla was able to stand comfortably next to the mare, and that confused the little Usdia! "I mean, I am not complaining or anything, but I am just surprised."

Absinthe preened under the Usdia's attentions. "Nothing to be jealous about I promise. And I'm not big, because I don't like to be big." she leaned in close to the other, grinning impishly. "I can change my size like I want to! See?"
Stepping back from the Usdia, she let herself grow larger, until she was around the size of a 'normal' soquili. The next moment she shifted almost to the size of a bee, flitting around Vanilla's head before shifting back into normal size. "But if I do it too fast, it makes me really tired." she admitted. "This is the size I was born in, I uess, and it's most comfortable for me."

Vanilla shook her head in awe, and smiled in delight of the female's power. "That is AMAZING. I can't say that enough. But I really don't want you to outdo yourself and get tired, since that would be dangerous. So stay comfortable at whatever size you like." With a helpful nod, she continued to watch the flutter with amazed eyes before wiggling herself around. "Yeah, I have no cool powers or anything. I am always this size, but I don't think I mind it that much. Everything is bigger but.. oh well! At least I don't hit my head on stuff."
With her usual and goofy logic, the Usdia was only proving to herself how satisfied she was. "Do you know lots of other flutters?" she then asked, before wiggling her tail.

Absinthe grinned, leaning in close to the other female. "You're cuter than most of the big ones too. They wear clothes, and have bad hair, and just aren't as sexy as we tiny folk." she shook her head and pranced off. "But the best thing about being smaller is when you're playing tag. If they think they're gonna get you, you can shoot under them and they have to take all that time to turn around." she giggled. "Though they can run faster."
The next question made her tilt her head. "Actually, I don't. I know me... and I know Leney, but Leney's not a real flutter. She can't change sizes. But her wings are AWESOME. And I know Dayu- he can change sizes, but not as good as I can."

Vanilla gleamed at Absinthe's words, since she agreed completely. "I have only met a few bigger Soqs, but at least they were nice. I have heard there are some mean ones, and I don't think I would like those." She shook her head playfully before listening more to the other flutter.
Ah, so it seemed she did know some others and have some friends! "Leney's wings are cooler then yours?" Vanilla paused before tilting her own head. "How is that possible?" She thought this flutter was the coolest ever! "Is Dayu a flutter too? Or are there others who can change size too?" Vanilla was so utterly confused.. but at least she was having fun! "I only know a few other Usdias, and we all stay the same size.. besides when someone eats too much!"

Absinthe nodded. "I haven't met any bad bigger ones, but I've heard there are some. But I've also heard too that there are angels, super-good soquili to keep a balance between the mean ones and the good ones." She nodded solemnly. "And I think so. Leney's look like STARS. But mine have a better shape." she preened her wings carefully, grinning. "As for Dayu... I don't know. He looks like one, but he has a horn, like one of the big ones."
Her head tilted, and she settled herself down on the ground thoughtfully. "I know there are others who can change sizes, but the way I was told, is that all have a different talent. Like how Unicorns can make people feel better, and the Wind soquili can fly like birds. And how kalona can... eat people..." Absinthe's voice trailed off as she pondered. What exactly were kalona good at? She'd have to meet one, and find out!

Vanilla giggled as Absinthe talked, since she enjoyed everything she said. "I wonder what it would be like to meet an angel.. but I guess that is good to know that they are there, since the bad ones should be put in there place!" Vanilla didn't like having unnecessary conflict, so she certainly didn't like mean Soquili. "Leney sounds like she would be pretty, since I personally find stars pretty.." she looked up at the blue sky and looked forward to the night sky that would soon come.
She then commented, "I don't think I ever want to meet a Kalona, especially if they would want to eat me or others. I would be so scared!" She giggled while shaking her mane, though the thought DID send chills up her spine. "Eating others.. and hurting.. how scary! Its like a nightmare!" One that Vanilla did NOT want to be a part of.

She nodded wisely, pleased to have the other's attention focused right where it belonged. On her. Absinthe did enjoy being the center of attention. "I think it would be wonderful to meet an angel, really. But not a kalona. I don't want to be a snack." she scowled. "But it would be worse to be a kalona, I guess. I don't know if I should hate them, or feel sorry for them." She looked briefly saddened. "But I bet none of them would like to know I might almost feel sorry for them, would they?"

Vanilla paused while pondering Absinthe's words, before nodding in agreement. "I really doubt they would want you to think anything of them, since they seem to hate everything." With a shrug, the Usdia giggled lightly. "The only strange creature I have ever met was a Kelpi, and he was soooo rude. I couldn't believe it." With a sigh, Vanilla continued to laugh to herself while glancing back at the flutter. "He wasn't violent or anything, but he was trying to offend my friend and I, and it was so strange! I guess some creatures just like being rude." Vanilla was glad that the flutter wasn't like that!
