What was this cold, white stuff covering the ground? Why did it burn his dead stomach when he ate it? Where was he anyways? Thoughts like those circled around in the undead stag's head as he slowly trod the icy lands he did not know himself. He strained to see if he could hear any other herla, any at all.
Fenna kicked around in the new snow. She loved snow so much. It tickled her nose and it was fun to kick at. She looked around for her sister, who could blend easily with the frost, so they could start a game, or even a race. With a giggle, she set off to find her sister.

Seren loved the snow too... especially making hoofprints in it. It was so.. fascinating! She'd step here... and there would be a hoof shaped hole in the snow. She was currently prancing around, with her head down to watch as she made the prints in the snow wherever she went. She would then pause and look back at the trail she made, and then make designs in the snow with her hoofprint trails. How neat! The young reindeer cow laughed and then ran about, doing figure eights and circles and looping around trees.

Fenna saw her sister playing by herself in the snow. Laughing loudly, Fenna trotted over to kick some snow at her sister's back. She wanted to start a game between them. Girls just wanna have fun, right?
Gluttony's ears went erect at the sound of playful laughter. Drool dripped slowly from his jaws. His stomach growled, a demand to eat. Gluttony skook his antlers violently in attempt to shake off the unnatural hunger. He broke into a mad dash to take his mind off his sinful urges. He wanted to feast on whatever life was laughing in the white frost. Suddenly, he saw what was laughing. Two young deer with antlers of their own. They didn't look like the young stags from the Firebringer herd. He stayed hidden in the trees as he stalked foward towards the pair out of an interest other than the hunger in his belly.

Seren shrieked as she felt the cold wet stuff hit her back, and then turned around to see that it was her sister. She then laughed and gave chased after her, "Hey! No fair, sneaking up on me like that!" She then kicked snow back at Fenna, not at all realizing the danger that lurked in the woods nearby.

Fenna ran from the onslaught of snow her sister aimed at her. Her giggling mixed and echoed with Seren's. Something secreatly ate at Fenna's nerves. She was too far away from mom. If Dancer found them like this, she would skin them herself. Not to mention Daddy Dasher. Or Donner, the leader of the herd. Fenna shook that feeling off. Suddenly, a pair of ruined ivory antlers caught her attention. "Hey!" she gasped sliding to a hault and recieving a muzzleful of snow, "Sister look! A newcomer!" She shook out her earth-toned fur and called out, "Hi! Want to come and play with us!?" She was one flea short of a rogue.
Gluttony's ears perked up at the sound of the young one's voice calling out to him. Play? How long had it been since he had done that? He was about to answer when his stomach roared its demand for food, for life. He shook his head again and began to back away using every shred of will he had. But she wanted to play. He wanted to dash around recklassly in the white hell with someone he enjoyed being with. He felt as if he was being split in two. "Herne forgive me," he cursed to himself striding towards the strange females.

Seren looked in the direction her sister indicated, confused, until she caught sight of what she was talking about. A strange deer with odd antlers... but there was more about that deer that was odd. Not just the antlers. Seren's eyes widened and she took a few steps back, noticing the glowing eyes and overall gruesome appearance of the deer that approached. It looked like a rotted corpse... bones showing here and there, and what flesh was left, hung off it in a sickening manner.
"I... don't think we should play with him..." Seren said, still backing away as the stranger approached them.

Fenna saw what her sister was talking about. The weird stag didn't look alive. Fenna backed up into her sister. "Sir?" she called, "Sir? Who are you? What are you? Sir?" She was shaking out of fear.
Gluttony could now converse with the pair via shouting. "I am...." he shouted in reply. He hesitated in compleating his sentence. He didn't know what to say. Gluttony? A Fallen? What? He halted in his steps. His stomach roared and his legs shook. He wanted to run and devour them, yet he wanted to romp in the snow without a care in the world. "I am..." he shouted again in a voice gruffer than the one he had been usuing, "Gluttony!" With a flash of red glowing eyes, he steadily advanced on them.
Fenna gasped. "Gluttony? Isn't that a sin?" she wimpered. Her legs shook as she saw the stag in greater detail. Drool dripped down from his jaws which curved up into a gruesome grin. Old rotted blood was splattered randomly on his bleached white bones. "I'm Fenna and this is....Seren?" Fenna attempted to make nice to the demon coming. When he broke into a full out dash, jaws agape, Fenna didn't know what to do. So she screamed.

Seren didn't even wait for her sister to make introductions... and she didn't know what that thing was... but every fiber of her being screamed danger. She turned and took off in a bolt of speed, she wasn't about to stick around this guy. Hopefully her sister would do the same. Eyes wide with fear, she ran as fast as she could and didn't look back. The young cow cried out, hoping that someone would hear her... and save them.

Fenna watched in dismay as her sister ran. Her legs were frozen, she couldn't move. Her amber eyes went wide as Gluttony was upon her. His jaws snapped around an antler. Fenna reared with a roar and struck Gluttony in the chest were his dead heart lay exposed. The jaws of death opened allowing Fenna to esacpe. She kicked her hooves and took off after Seren crying for her to wait. Safty in numbers right?
Gluttony let the damned deer go with a booming cry of pain that seemed to make the trees rattle. His dead heart gave a feeble beat causing his chest to explode in flaming pain. His opened his drool-covered maw and screamed, "I will get you two and when I do!" He took off like lightening after the pair not caring anymore what they were. His amber red eyes blazed. Deep inside, the true Gluttony shook his head. He would kill again. Just another scar, another sin, to add to the list.

It took a moment for Seren to realize her sister wasn't behind her.. and she finally came to a stop when she heard her cries.
"Fenna!" She shouted back, running to her sister, "Are you okay?! Why didn't you run?! I thought you were behind me!" But if she'd been that far behind, obviously she hadn't right away. Didn't Seren say that they shouldn't play with that guy? She then heard the shout fromt he monster and shivered in fear, "C'mon.. lets go find daddy.. he'll know what to do." She was glad that her sister was alright.. they they both were.

Fenna nodded sniffing and snorting in fear. Wind whistled through the crack in her antler where the deer had bitten her. Her ears swivled back. "He's coming!" she yelped taking off towards the Outriders stationed around the herd.
Gluttony could see them now. Drool pooled from his open jaws. A slab of rotten pink tongue trailed out with the drool. His chest heaved with breath that wasn't there. His hooves roughly carved the snow. His black body emitted an unearthly aura full of bloodlust and malice. "I will devour yooooou!" he roared trying to push for more speed. The snow slowed him down.

Seren nuzzled her sister, trying to comfort her.. but Fenna's shout caused her eyes to widen. Sure enough.. the evil deer thing was quickly approaching them. "Run!" she shrieked, turning and making a bolt in the same direction as her sister. She screamed at the top of her lungs, hoping that some might here them.
And someone did... Dasher was the first to notice, his ears perking and eyes turning to where he hear the scream, only to widen and see his daughters running from... something. A strange deer that seemed to be chasing them. Bellowing his anger, the bull took off like shot. His long legs carrying him swiftly across the snow and past the two frightened young cows. His antler crowned head lowering in a charge at the undead deer. He didn't care who it was.. nobody messed with his mates or his children!

Fenna watched her father attack the thing that had bitten her with wide chestnut eyes. She slowed to a stop to watch her father's face-off with the creature from nightmares. Her flank still trembled in fear, but Daddy Dasher could beat anything, couldn't he?
Gluttony saw the bull's charge long before they reached each other. He dug his sharp hooves forcibly into the earth and skidded to a stop. Turning his to his side, he welcomed Dasher's attack. He knew he would live. After all, he could not die again. With a malice-filled laugh, he was knocked over by Dasher's assult. He rolled onto his back and kicked up with his broken yet still sharp hooves. He missed the large reindeer and took a different approach. Opening his stinking, rotting mouth, he lunged upwards to bite the proud reindeer. He was determined to get the little brown female and her cream sister.

Eyes were wild with anger as Dasher rushed the half dead deer. Anyone that dared attack his family had to deal with him! There was the satisfying thud of a body as Dasher rammed the abomination.. only to have him kick his hooves in retaliation. Dasher was quick, and avoided the hooves easily. But what he didn't anticipate was the lung that came with a bite. Deer just didn't fight that way... he didn't expect at all for the strange herla to use his teeth. The rotting mouth latched onto his shoulder and Dasher yelled and bellowed in pain. For a moment being unable to react just from the sheer shock of it all before he finally reared his head and aimed a blow with his antlers.
Seren came up to her sister's side, huddling next to her to watch with wide eyes as her father fought the evil deer. She trembled, truely frightened.. but tried to be strong for her sister.

Gluttony saw the impending attack and tossed his head with Dasher's shoulder. His skull face grinned, hot blood splattering against it. This deer was weak and foolish to think he could attack a Fallen without knowing who or what it was. Gluttony let go and kicked up with sharpened hooves. He missed, but so did Dasher. Backing off to take a good look at his prey, Gluttony roared, "I am a Fallen! I know no pain! Come at me!"
In truth, one of his front leg bones had been cracked and he had a limp. It would heal, but now Gluttony was resorting to the tactic of inspiring fear into Dasher in hopes he would retreat and let him have the younger, tastier females hiding behind him. "Wait a moment," he gasped, "Those are your offspring...are they not?" Now the game was of a new kind.
Fenna cried out in fear. "He knows sister! He knows! What will happen now?" she sobbed turning her back on the sight of her father's battle. Her amber eyes were squeezed shut. "Seren! I'm scared!"
