SDRP

Consider this a fun Halloween treat RP. Since Gaia has turned the members against each other I thought it might be nice to follow in the footsteps, so to speak. This will be a vampire killing frenzy Rp. There will be an end however, which is when all the blood-suckers are dead. I’m kind of playing of the 30 days of night movie.

Main Idea:

A group of people are stuck in a town somewhere in the northern half of small unknown country. This town is set where parts of the year is filled with endless sunshine. However there is the other side of the coin, for the next 30 days it will be only night. Normally this is just seen as a normal cycle of evens, but this time things are different. This 30 days is going to fall on the month of October. The last day will be the day of Halloween. Due to this odd occurrence those who walk the night have been drawn to this place. They are not the social political vampires of the city, nor are they the counts of the rural nations. They are the lowest of the low in the world of the Nosferatu. They seek this month long hunting period to feed the gluten like appetites. The humans there have not a clue what is about to be fall them, but there are those who do. A select few have volunteered to go to the town and protect the people of it, and to kill as many suck heads as they can.



So that’s the plot in a since. Players may be a hunter or a normal human in the town. Just because you start out in the town does not mean you can’t join in the vamp killing fun. This Rp will only last until the weekend if that. If I see enough people chompin at the bit to ash a few vamps I might push the date up. During the Rp you either run into the vamps and try and survive until a hunter finds you, or you find a way to fight back, or protect a group of people from a few swarms now and then. The last day of the Rp will consist of the hunters gathering together in a building with what humans remain. The vamps will make one last try at feeding on all of them. The swarm will be massive and undertake the whole day of Rp time.

Rules:

1. No godmodding - I realize that this is going to be a fun trip of killing vamps, but lets keep it interesting and reasonable to an extent.
2. No killing another persons character - the general idea is for everyone to survive the ordeal, but if you wish your character can die. Be warned though, this is not the they bite you and you turn kind of vamp. This is the bite you, then bite more, then eat you, and then…well you get it. You can kill as many NPC chars as you wish.
3. Keep to the Gaia rules and regulations
4. Keep it pg-13 - I know it sounds like an odd thing to say with vamps but there are a good set of movies out there that scare without gore. These vamps ash by the way, so no gore will fly everywhere.
5. Keep it interesting in your post - I know we have a lot of talented Rpers here and I would like to see that in this. Make it suspenseful, make it action packed, make it something people will want to read.
6. HAVE FUN - most important rule ever really.

Character Skeleton:

Town member

Name:
Age:
Gender:
Description: a pic or a good written one will do nicely. I will be writing mine, so don’t feel the need to have a pic.
Bio: make it brief but informative. Why are you here, family, lifestyle, hobby.
Skills: this is like your job. The town is not barren in any since. Most typical small town jobs can be found here. With a mind set dealing with cold weather. Your skill could be used to get away from the vamps or end up helping you fight back.

Weapons???: These should not be with you at the time. Matter of fact don’t post anything for this if your going to be a town member. You will find your weapons and use them how you please. Guns should be used sparingly. Remember 30 days will have to pass, and finding a box of ammo that will last you 30 days is godmodding. When looking think, silver, wood, holy, or garlic. These are low level vamps so any of those will ash them. Just keep in mind they attack in large numbers.


Hunters

Name: include real and go by.
Age: this should be a good of place as any to clarify the hunters. Keep it human people. I know I just pissed off a lot of people wanting to be half-breeds, daywalkers, Dunpels, and….ah darn, I can never remember what it is the guys from Trinity Blood are called, but you get the idea. That doesn’t mean you can’t be skilled in close quarters combat, or have some interesting gadgets, and/or talents. No magic too, wonder if I have any left still reading? Magic can make things get strange with vamps.
Gender:
Description: same as Town folk
Bio: Tell why you are a hunter, why you can do what you do, and why you volunteered to go to the town.
Skills: are you good with gadgets and fixing things, you good with guns and other things that go boom. Can you kick a vamps butt with a silver sword or axe just as well as someone can with a gun.
Weapon: You guys get to bring yours in, but we should clarify what you can bring. I don’t mind bringing a lot of ammo but be realistic. If your coming in on foot or by car or something you won’t be able to care very much. That doesn’t mean everyone come in a van loaded down. Again the keep it interesting falls here. Swords, axes, daggers, arrows (with there partners the bow) are all allowed. These will probably be your main tool. Oh, no BIG boom booms. Lets keep the explosives to a minimal and nothing bigger then some C4 for like a cave or something. We want the town to still be standing when we are done.

I’ll have a post after this showing who is in. When you see you name fill free to start posting. If you don’t I should send you a PM telling something I thought might not go well. Be hard for that to happen but still. xd

Ok, that should about cover it. On the last day I’ll post saying the final day has arrived. After that you will have a few hours, giving time to let everyone get to the final stand building, then I will post the attack has begun. Oh, just post your profiles here. When it looks like we have a good number of people we will start, but fill free to come in anytime. If you do come in after the Rp starts PM me so I won’t be surprised. Hunter

Name: Ronyo
Age: 28
Gender: male
Description: Ronyo stands about 5’ 9” and is well trimmed. His long white hair is pulled together in a pony tail with a few wisps near his face. He wears his brown leather vest with a bandoleer belt set from his right shoulder to his left hip. The bandoleer holds several silver stacks while his belt hold several shells to his shotguns, those two guns are holstered at each side. Two silver short swords are attached to the back of the bandoleer. He wear a heavy green shirt under his vest and heavy green pants. Strapped around his right thigh is another set of silver stacks, and on the other thigh more shells. His arms are strapped with brown leather gauntlets with metal fore arm covers. The covers are blessed with hold water so they offer a nice amount close in protection.
Bio: Ronyo has been in the hunter business for several years now. He started after being rescued by a member of the Van Heilsing line. The member offered to him the chance to stop what almost happened to him, happen to anyone else. He trained for years learning about the beasts and how they live. He learned there weaknesses and there strengths. He has fought along side many hunters famous and not so famous. Now Ronyo has learned of the events that will unfold during the month of October, and he must get there in time.
Skills: Ronyo has learned how to track the creatures when they leave clues. Most of the upper class don’t but the lower class often enough do. His skill with his twin blades is what has kept him alive. Ronyo has also learned how to understand when the creatures are coming closer. Its not a exact skill but more like understanding that feeling of something’s wrong. It doesn’t always come in to play, but if the danger is great enough its hard to hide.
Weapons: Twin short curved blades head off his arsenal, along with his multitude of silver stacks, and his trusted sawed off double barrel shotguns. All his ammo his silver with essence of garlic laced in. He also carries a few, and I mean a few, vials of holy water. It more of a last ditch defense then a weapon really, or something to poor on his blades for those really annoying vampires.

thanks for joining Eddy. I unerstand its Halloween and the posters will be a bit on the small side. I would like to wait until we have atleast 4 or 5 people before we start. I will extend this event if need be.

Ty for Joining Armygall. I take it the Scythe in the picture is not part of your characters arsenal. Still, its a cool picture.

No problem, I'm happy to join as I rarely find a good RP in which I can RP as Willhelm. I hope you get some towns people soon, it'll be no fun if everyone is a well prepared vampire hunter.

Name: Kitsune
Age: 24
Gender: male
Description: Kitsune, or Kit as his friends call him, Stands about 5’8”. Kit normally wears black jeans with a red under shirt. A green long sleeve over shirt also finds it’s way on him from time to time. When the over shirt is on he leaves it unbuttoned and rolls the sleeves up above his elbows so he can move better. Despite the harsh climate Kitsune has no problem with the cold. His copper toned hair makes a bold statement when he walks into a room, as do most red heads. That is until you catch a glimpse of his eyes, violet.
Bio: Kit has worked in the town for only a few months now and had really enjoyed the constant sunshine. When the locals told him about the 30 days of night that happened once a year he didn’t receive it well. Never to be one for the night life Kitsune was considering leaving until the 30 days past. That is until he found out it was going to be during October. Kit loved Halloween and this 30 days of night just seemed to make the event even cooler to him.
Skills: Kit works as just about anything around town. He’s helped the hunters and fur traders, who are few but its an enjoyable craft. He also helps as a fixer upper of most things mechanic. Having worked with the hunters he’s become a fair descant shot.

So here is my towns member to help round some things out. Hopefully this will encourage others to go the route of a town member.

Ok, I think we have enough to get this thing going. The time line has been altered because of the wait for members, but never fret things shall go as planned. I’ll let the Rp play out a bit more than usual but will try and drop in enough to keep it moving. Oh, and thanks to Jajin for taking on the role of a towns member.
