Fate Tower stands far to the Northeast, reaching thousands of feet into the sky and beyond the blackened clouds. Inside this tower lies the gateway to the mortal realm. It is here that the victims of the “Yearly Harvest” are first brought. It is also where the enigmatic “Master” of Wormwood resides. It is unknown whether the master is really even a vampire or not, but regardless, he (or it) keeps a close eye on the realm from atop the tower. Many a human have tried climbing the tower and escaping back into the mortal world, but all have fallen victim to the gruesome traps and abominable creatures lying in wait within.

Zak was at the tower door and rolled his eyes as he remembered the tales he had heard of the thing. Impossible to reach to the top? He doubted it but did not really feel he needed to get back to the mortal world so he awaited his new apperentices arrival. So far, every single apprentice set under his command has fallen. Zak had created the hardest trials he knew of, and he laughed as he thought of the last one. He had died in the first trial, without even showing a promising sign. Zak seen the kid as he left the tower to greet him. The kid seemed well built but not very warrior like.
Zak began by saying "Hello, I am to be your trial tester I wish you the best of luck."
James replied with a smile "Luck, it is the greatest thing in this world is it not? For how many times has luck saved me from death in the real world where constant struggles are being held. It is quite simple, luck is what drove me here and luck is what will allow me to pass these trials.
Zak rolled his eyes at that and simply said "All luck will do is get you unprepared for what is going to happen. Its a thing of false hope, I don't trust luck because I use my brain."
James said "You have your driving force and I have mine."
Zak could not argue with that point so they strode off toward the north back to the forest for near the forest was where the first trial will be held.
