What is it that you seek?

This is the question asked of all who come across the kindly elder man who guards the entrance to Paradise. For centuries, this 'other world' has been the topic of much discussion. To this day, none have been able to give the correct answer to the man who guards the gate.

A small group of teenagers living in Arderia have heard the legends of Paradise. They have seen images in textbooks depicting how beautiful the land is on the other side of the gate. And, digging into books no school teacher in Arderia would ever assign, they found out that Paradise houses a horrible secret. A secret that if revealed, could change life as they know it. A secret that could wipe out all humanity.

Is Paradise as peaceful as Arderia thought? What is the secret? The youths are intent on finding out the answer as they make the journey to the gate to Paradise. The elder knows of their approach, and is ready with his multi century old question. Only he alone knows the true meaning of the riddle they uncovered which explains the secret.

Technical Rules

These are the general rules of the rpg. They are basically rules you would find in any rpg.

1) NO SPAM!!!!!!
2) Follow the TOS for Gaia
3) No cybering
4) Please make the first word of your message (not the title) when you pm me 'SEEK'
5) No power playing
6) No godmodding/killing off another person's character without permission
7) Keep it pg-13
cool To make sure you are reading this, the first word of your pm message (not the title) must be 'RULES', not 'SEEK'
9) Be as literate as you can
10) No one liners
11) With regards to rules 5 and 6, these can happen... if I get the corresponding form from both players (see More Rules) then it will be acceptable. NO EXCEPTIONS
12) The first word of your actual message when you pm me must be 'SEEK'
13) Read through every guide post in this thread
14) Please make the first word of your message 'RULES' so I know you read this
15) I reserve the right to change these rules whenever I want

Setting

This rpg takes place in a fantasy universe by the name of Arderia. It is comparable to Ivalice from Final Fantasy XII. Arderia is broken up into four major countries.

Noraado in the north
Estrased in the east
Sibernasta in the south
Windra in the west

There are other smaller regions between the larger countries.

Noraado is very cold and barren. Most research takes place in this country because it an assumed fact that the first land in Arderia was what is now Noraado. Living conditions are very rough up there.

Estrased is the main industrial country. It is the most developed and heavily populated country in Arderia. Almost every citizen in Arderia lives here and this is where the main characters grew up.

Sibernasta is the home of a primitive tribe. It is the smallest major country, being able to fit into the other three combined about 15 times. The tribe is very protective of their culture, but a clue to the secret of Paradise has been revealed to rest in this country.

Windra is a large country, but it is completely comprised of a massive desert. Even still, living conditions are fairly good. Many people live in various camps throughout the desert to escape the routine life in Estrased.
