Battleground Selection
The screen towering above the stadiums' bleachers began to rotate clockwise to determine what field the pokemon would fight on. Anticipation began to build as the dial began to slow down...
Finally, it came to a complete stop.
The field of choice was....THE ICE FIELD!
The temperature of the stadium suddenly dropped several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifted for the upcoming battle. The floor was made of extremely slick ice, which would make manuverablity, even simply standing, difficult. Crystal-like pillars reached skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field.

Battle Begin!
The offical for the matched stepped up the plate, her blue-black uniform easily visible under the brilliant florenscent lights of the stadium. Clutching a flag in each hand, the young woman glanced left and right before making the announcement to start. The melodic voice echoed through the headset microphone and rang out from the stadium speakers.
"This is an offical stadium match! Each trainer may use only one pokemon each! There is no time limit! Are both trainers ready?"
At the confirming nods from both pokemon and trainer, she flicked both flags into the air; once both flags dropped, the battle could offically begin.

((Well, this is quite different from usual, but I'll manage >w< ))
"Alright Albireo! Let's start this off with a signal beam!" Luna shouted.
Albireo barked, charging up tri-colored lights on his horn. THe lights then shot at the ice, staying in a braided pattern, infront of the other dewgong. The beam then broke into three lights that scattered across the arena...one right at Ayirwen!

((Sorry... I did it the way Kuro & I do our battles...))
Raina smiled at Luna and waved a greeting to her new friend. Time to get down to business though. Raina grabbed the greatball from her belt and tossed it in the air. "C'mon Ayirwen! Lets show them what we've got!"
At the summon a Dewgong appeared on the field in front of Raina and clapped her flippers together "Dewgong!"
That needed no translation, Ayirwen was ready. Raina saw that there was no way to avoid the attack "Just hold your ground then try a horn drill!"
Ayirwen nodded and held steady as the attack hit her, she flinched in pain but was immediately charging at Albireo and getting ready to land a powerful Horn Drill attack.

"Albireo, Aqua Jet! Quick!" Luna shouted.
Albireo barked, letting out a jet of water at Ayirwen right before the horn drill got deep into his skin. The force of his attack knocked him safely away from the other dewgong. Thankfully, there were no major injuries, he had gotten away just when the attack started piercing skin.

"Oh no! Ayirwen, counter with a body slam!" Raina cried as she saw Luna's dewgong slide back on the ice, escaping the horn drill for the most part.
With the Aqua Jet coming straight at her Ayirwen slid off to the side, but not fast enough, the powerful stream of water hit her tail and almost sent her spinning across the ice but luckily it didn't make full contact. Immediately after the water passed she slid across the ice, picking up speed for the body slam she was aiming straight at Albireo.

"Albireo! Don't let her boss you around, use headbutt!"
Albireo winced as the other dewgong came crashing into him. Although Ayirwen was heavy, his larger body size and his hold on the ice allowed the two pokemon to only be pushed back together a few feet. Immediately after the initial impact and sliding, Albireo retaliated by thrusting his head towards a good chunk of body area to hit, taking advantage of the short close-combat.

((I dunno in meh pokedex book it never differentiates but I assume they're like real animals where most males are larger than most females... do seals have shoulders? XD))
"Ayirwen, don't take that from him get in there and show him what you've got! Aqua tail!"
Ayirwen jabbed warningly at Albireo after he landed a headbutt right in her shoulder then spun around, and aimed her Aqua Tail attack right at his head.

"Albireo! Let's show her your stubborness! Headbutt it!"
Albireo immediately reacted to the follow up attack with one of his own. He moved his head just in time to block the Aqua Tail with the tip of his horn, creating a small crack on it. And then, without giving Ayirwen a chance to retract her tail, he launched a signal beam attack from his horn, sending beams of light at a deadly close range.

((XD that works but I wonder why it wouldn't let you roll here?... it isn't letting me roll here either though... odd)) Raina saw that this battle wasn't going the best, Ayirwen had yet to get a full out hit on the other pokemon. "C'mon Ayirwen, don't let him beat you!"Ayirwen heard Raina's shout and responded by sliding sideways, the signal beam only hit her flipper but it still hurt! Angry, and now in pain Ayirwen headed straight for Albireo with what looked like a Horn Drill but changed to a Body Slam at the last instant. This attack needed to hit hard, she was starting to get tired.[500/1000] ((Roll is located HERE))

"Albireo, if it's a close range battle they want, it's what they'll get! Use YOUR horn!" Luna cheered. She smiled as she watched Albireo once again snapping back into another defensive position to fight off the other dewgong.
Albireo had has horn meet Ayirwen's horn so that the two horns were locked. Bad thing was, Ayirwen's was SPINNING. Albireo flinched and retracted at the spinning before it was severe, but it formed a small crack on his horn. Then, Albireo saw Ayirwen jump up for a kill using body slam.
'HORN!' A voice in his head shouted. Albireo agreed with the random voice. Horn! He raised his horn right at Ayirwen who was about to decend on him.[600/1000] (( Dice roll))

Ayirwen was about halfway through her descent when she saw Albireo aim his horn at her. There was no way she was going to impale herself on that. She flipped her tail to the left which sent her flying off course to the right, out of harms way. When she landed she righted herself and aimed quickly and shot an ice beam straight at Albireo.Raina had been watching this from the sidelines and felt no need to call out commands knowing that Ayirwen knew what to do. The execution... well... the landing actually... could've been better but at least she retaliated quickly which gave her the chance to catch him off guard. [500/1000] Roll is HERE
