This should be a much easier read ^_^ it is actually one of the newer things i still have. It is the beginning of the story and i believe i was experimenting with description so watch out. XD

It was pitch black all across the scarred earth, save for the dark red glow of the dieing sun. Slowly, it sank away from view as rain began to pour. Dark clouds consumed each other overhead as winds picked up waving dead flags of the nations. Thunder clapped across the sky, zipping in every direction like a fireworks display as lightning lit up the scene below with a bright light. Nothing but ruins could be found as far as the eye could see.
The rain pounded upon the area, creating the sound of drums. It spilled onto the ground, washing away the signs of war as lightning flashed across the dead and broken city. Everything was silent and devoid of life. Windows were dark and broken, buildings were tilted and crumbling, and cars were overturned. Silence. It was nothing but a maze of torn ripped remains, as things lay scattered amongst twisted metals no longer recognizable. Personal belongings were in shambles, crushed to splinters, and cracked.
It was a lonely place filled with a deep nothingness. There was no life only the still shell of mankind’s greatest achievements. A picture blew in the wind rolling on the muddy ground. A hand caught the fragile piece of paper and eyes gazed upon the beautiful smiling face of a young girl. Water tapped its smudged colors and whipped it clean. The hand released it to let it fly again. Only one person remained staring upon the giant towers. Only one was left to watch her failure as the world ended.
She stood atop a hill that once overlooked a park but was now a charred piece of the desolate picture. Rusted and bent play equipment squeaked and clanked in the wind. Swings and merry go-rounds moved with the ghosts of the children who use to play upon them. A deep hole was in her heart as the sky shot down lighting and tornadoes to destroy what was left. The ground trembled as it was torn up. Only one thing could save them now. Only one thing could bring back that little girl, a small golden pocket watch to rewind the times. It ticked, ticked, and then stopped. Kira rewound it and swore she would not fail again.
It rolled back to another stormy night. All the lights were out in the village. Everything was silent except for the gently pad of the rain, the whistle of the wind, and the occasional crack of thunder. It muffled any sound and left everyone to sleep comfortably.
She was covered in mud as she dashed through puddles. The rain came down in sheets splashing upon her face as the wind howled throwing it against her. Her clothes were drenched and water ran off her skin dripping from her chin and elbows. Her hair was plastered against her head and wind blown. It was hard to see as she navigated down the long dark path. Her breath was coming out in spurts of steam and she shivered but wouldn’t stop. She clutched the bag of stones in her hand and would not let them go. She reached a cliffs edge and stared down upon the sea. It crashed upon the rocks splashing upward and swirled about white with foam. She then glanced at the men following her as they came ever nearer. The girl leapt off the ledge and free fell toward the watery depths.
It consumed her body and felt like she was being stabbed by needles as the cold struck her. The air thinned in her lungs and it stung her throat. She swam toward the little light above her and broke the surface gasping for air. She swallowed salt water as a wave crashed over her head. She came back up coughing but held her breath as another came down upon her. She sank back under and rolled around as the current pushed her. She came back up again for a breath. The process repeated as the mountainous waves continued to come down on her like stone. Her hand held tight to the bag around her wrist, clutching it until her hand seemed to freeze that way. The storm rolled on through the night and cleared up only when the first bit of light reached the beaches signaling sunrise.
A man was jogging along the beach when he spotted something lying in the sand. He slowed to a walk and came upon a girl. She lay motionless on her side and didn’t seem to be breathing. She was soaked and covered in sand. He knelt beside her and rolled her onto her back. He put his head to her chest and could hear a faint heart beat. The girl then coughed and spit a lot of water out of her mouth. The man stared at her for a moment and then placed his arm under her head to try and lift her. She opened her eyes slowly and there was a flash. They were standing together. She with white wings and he with black. They were staring into each other’s eyes with a great deal of passion. He was handsome to her with his light brown hair in his face and his brown eyes to match. Then the vision faded. She closed her eyes again and he picked her up bringing her to his home. He had also seen this strange picture in his mind and wondered just what it meant.
