I just saw this article with the warning at the top saying all Bumbo seats have been recalled as of Oct 25th. I thought that there were some here who had one of these. Here is a link to the article! Article on Bumbo seatI'll try to find out some more info on the recall and post it. Edit: Here is the article from the CPSC with all the recall details. Bumbo seat recall notice

Recall should be the hospital and CPS recalling the children from these stupid a** parents.
There IS in fact a warning on the box that says not to put it in the bath or up high or in general without attendance.
What makes parents think this is okay? Even five point harness highchairs say "do not leave child unattended".
I just marvel some time about people's stupidity.
I had a bumbo seat and if I read this recall I'd keep my damned seat and not call anyone regarding it. XD

That's as bad as McD's being sued because, wait for it...coffee is hot. Honestly, what half-wit would leave a child in a seat on a table or other high surface? That isn't a defect with the seat.

Oh yeah...lol. When we got the memo at work to pull them from the shelves. I almost tripped literally when the girl told me the reason. I thought that was the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard. I mean.. Ok.. the law of baby's gravity and physics says... babies have dense weight.. and if they lean towards any one direction are likely to fall if noone is around. That's just common sense/knowledge.
I mean.. what mother or caretaker in their right mind would leave a baby unattended in aspot like that anyways!!!! I swear... I don't think the industry should allow recalls and lawsuits that result from a person's stupidity.
and, they can't say well they need a label on the box. Take it from me.. at my job... you'd be surprised the masses of people who just plain WON'T READ. No really.. they just don't.. even if it was in black and white staring them in teh face.. they'll miss it or interpret it to mean whatever the hell they want it to.
That's like the crib recall they had.. cuz, the baby got it's head stuck in between the rail and post of the crib.. and they sued the company. When come to find out, the reason the crib was like that WASN'T because of the crib being made faulty. The parents assembled it with the drop down side UPSIDE DOWN.. in which case it did create a gap. and the parents said the manual should have said that it's a safety hazard if it isn't on the exact right way. Heh... I wouldn't be surprised if it were the same families who had bumbo seat problems as it was the crib issues...

Hmm... I wanted one of these things. Now I guess they won't sell them. I don't see what the problem is if you use it on the floor and you are there. I wasn't planning on putting it on a table anyway @__o

Personally I really don't like those Bumbo seats. I was going to get one for my daughter but I bought her an exersaucer instead and I am glad I did. LOL
But seriously sometimes people are so irresponsible. I don't know call me paranoid but I don't even leave my daughter in her crib or in her swing alone ever.

I love my daughters bumbo, it's insane that they would recall it just because some idiots are leaving their kids on high areas! On the back of the damn bumbo it has a warning in RED! Maybe they shouldn't be having kids if they cannot read properly =/
