The white silhouette among the dark, velvet stood as a ghostly shadow among the length of the trees. Her cool orbs gazing over these lands. Her kalona side wasn't taking over yet. She had no desire for the warmth of blood, or the thrill of a kill not even the beast seemed to stir inside her. It felt like it was up to something. She pawed at the ground with her cloven hooves as her tail twitched behind her in an angry motion.
She stepped out of the trees to walk into a small clearing that had an even smaller stream. She walked to it slowly, some how it felt as if someone were watching her. She didn't feel...she were alone. Though she could honestly say, she never felt that feeling had gone. It always felt as there was another 'prescence' around. She hoped it was a good luck spirit sometimes other times she ceased to pay attention. Herself in the moonlight looked ethreal, her silken mane fell over her shoulder as she looked to the passing water. The moon's beams reflecting her shadow in the dark liquids. She wondered what would come of this seemingly dull night.

Dull cerulean irises were focused on the starry horizon as the winged stallion meandered aimlessly through the endless expanse of forest, ducking under various branches that blocked his way. Another sleepless night was upon him, it seemed... and for once, he found himself actually wishing for someone to talk to.
No sooner had Kureno finished that thought when he came upon a small forest clearing, a glimpse of blue upon white instantly drawing his eye to a kalona female that occupied the same clearing. Immediately, he was wary and on guard of the oddly-colored mare... he paused as he took note of the unicorn horn upon her head. She was a unicorn and a kalona? That was something he'd never come across before... he wondered if she was as ill-tempered as the other kalona he'd known, or if her being part unicorn pacified her somewhat.
She was quite pretty, if one were to disregard the fact that most kalona feasted upon soquili flesh- her spots reminded him of his herdmate, that imbecile Shadow.
Muscles tensed in ready to defend himself if necessary, Kureno leveled the female with a flat stare, azure eyes narrowed into an almost glare as he noted the surroundings before them. He was not in the mood to pick a fight, but would be on the ready in case this mare decided she was hungry for soquili blood.

Her ears flattened she had heard another, but the movement had stopped. She turned her head as her ears flicked forward and she tilted her head, shaking her head and with the flick of the tail she went to take another drink before looking back to see he was in the same defensive position. "I have no desire to taste you blood or devour your flesh, stallion." Her eyes looked to him. What did he want her to say, she spoke the truth. Her tail twitched behind her.
He was rather attractive...for a wind. She had nothing against their breed. Except she didn't trust them, they didn't seem to hold to their word and everyone thought they were so damn magnificant because they could ******** fly. She was tired of being judged how she looked. She should kill all those who judged, they should be judged by her. What a world that would be, she would be a hypocrite indeed but she thought itd be a better...for her.
She yawned boredly, wondering how long he'd stand their. Perhaps she should time him, he might be a record breaker.

Tilting his head to one side and regarding her with a slightly uneasy stare, reluctantly, the stallion's tensed posture relaxed. He had no reason to trust her word, but he had no reason to doubt it, either... and as much as he would have loved to deny it, he had been silently hoping for company in the past few lonely weeks. Perhaps this new kalona mare would provide some amusement...
Snorting indignantly as he saw her yawn, Kureno spoke gruffly. "Am I boring you already?"
While he wasn't in the habit of conversing with strangers, the odd feeling of wanting companionship had forced him to broaden his horizons a bit, so to speak.

She smirked and nodded her head, "Yes," she replied bringing out her 's' in a seductive yet innocent tone. It was normal for her, it was how she spoke. To some it came off as the wrong way, but once you spoke to her more often you realized it was normal. She wrinkled her nose as the breeze blew past...it was tickling her.
She tilted her head more at an angle. "You aren't going to introduce yourself, stranger?" her brow rose, "Or are you to keep staring...not that I mind or anything...just curious." she replied with a soft laught. As she spoke she seemed to be rather good at hiding her fangs. She was good at showing them off too when needed be. But this didn't seem the time, seeing as he didn't trust her. If she met herself at anytime, she wouldn't trust her either.
Her cool eyes grazed over his pelt, to his lengthy ebony hair and feathered wings...no he wasn't bad looking at all. Not that she hadn't seen better. He was just decent, seeing as he wasn't a lazy a** who felt things needed to be brought to him. He obviously kept himself in shape, and she took care to notice. Who wouldn't? She herself was in excellent shape. She couldn't imagine being obese...she might kill herself. How hideous she would be.

A faint ghost of a grin teased at the corners of his mouth for the first time in what seemed like forever, and the dulled azure hue of his eyes glittered a bit in mirth. So, it seemed that this female had the wit to match her looks- she might prove to be entertaining.
One brow of his own raised at her inquiry, the smirk becoming a bit more pronounced on his dark features. "My apologies- it's been a while since I've come across something worth staring at." He was enjoying their banter- although it was new to him, it wasn't entirely unpleasant. "I'm Kureno," he offered simply, looking at her expectantly in return.
He had come across other mares before in his wanderings, but he did admit to the fact that this kalona was among the more attractive ones- and she didn't seem to mind that he was somewhat aloof, either.

She didn't mind aloof, she almost preferred it...Ares was aloof maybe thats why she liked him. Eh, she could put up with him at least and more importantly he, her on occasion. Her split personalities made it hard for anyone to like her let alone stand her. He was meeting the preferable side.
She saw that something 'good' was happening for he was smiling. His expression was changing too. She didn't think of herself as to be that intriguing but perhaps to someone, this someone she was. She let her own smirk appear upon that deadly innocent face, "Charming," she replied. "Unless you are just devious, Kureno?" she replied with another rose brow as she said his name afterwards to remember it.
She hade been called a novelty before, by another perhaps she was. She really couldn't see it. She didn't know why she was so damn different but...apparently she was. Her ears flickered, her interest peaked unto the conversation. He was still rather far away, she debated whether to move toward him or wait for him to come near her. It was still obvious of the distrust but she slightly saw that his shields were beginning to be lowered.

Although her demeanor was more welcoming than he had anticipated, Kureno noticed a small amount of withdrawal from their conversation that he refrained from commenting on. He wondered what she was hiding... it wasn't any business of his, but he couldn't help but be curious.
A low chuckle arose from his vocals as Kureno allowed the small grin adorning his features to widen a bit. "I have been known to be devious on occasion, although 'charming' is one trait I've not been called before. You are more welcoming than I gave you credit for, myself."
He paused here, fixing her with a gaze that was unguarded, and slightly more friendly than before. Although it was completely new to him, he found that he didn't seem to mind it all that much. "And you are..?"

She shrugged softly to him, perhaps letting his own curiousity tweak at his mind. "Well then consider yourself having a new experience of being called charming." she replied ending that part of the conversation, why dwell on something that would get no where. But perhaps either boost ones ego to conceitedness or make the whole conversation go to waste.
She smiled, she knew she hadn't given her name. Perhaps teasing, or taunting but completely intentional. She just wanted to make sure he was interested in knowing who she was. "I am Pandora." she replied simply, and in a matter-o-fact tone.
She let her bangs fall to one side of her face as she looked to him with the other as she sauntered closer to him, but far enough away to remain personal space and not entering his...without permission.
"I can be less welcoming if you preferred." she replied in a slightly sarcastic voice.

"Well then, Pandora, it is a pleasure to meet you," he dragged out the word 'pleasure' in a slightly sensual manner, letting a low chuckle rise from his throat once again as she stepped closer to him. Although his first instinct was to step back and regain some distance from her, he allowed it, even taking a small step towards her himself.
Another low, throaty laugh escaped his vocals as he fixed her with a small smirk, tossing the limp ebon' forelocks of his mane away from his eyes. "That's quite all right, I rather like having an intelligent and attractive mare to converse with."
He paused a moment, considering his words before he spoke again. Small talk was foreign to him, but this night was proving to hold a number of new experiences for him. "So, what brings you out this way?"

She smiled, it was often it was told it was a pleasure to meet her...perhaps he could put up with her. But baby her other half would be to much. She had just met him, so why even consider it? He was getting to her, perhaps being called pretty to much was getting to her head.
She watched as he edged closer in amazement to herself, "That is the second time you have called me attractive," she replied. "If I have counted correctly...so far." she rose her brow. "And only once you've called me intelligent," she teased with a questioned expression.
"Mmmm..." she thought for a moment, trying to remember...she didn't have a reason. "Just to get out, I rarely spend nights at the teepees." There teepee was getting rather full these days and she didn't mind these cool nights...though sometimes she wished to have companion to feel their warmth. She would never admit it. She flicked her bangs from her bangs looking to his eyes, slightly entranced by their hue. "And you?" she replied.

"I would not say it if it wasn't true," he pointed out in flirtatious amusement, eyeing her own teasing smile with somewhat of a charming grin of his own- if it were possible for Kureno to be charming. But she herself had claimed it to be true, so who was he to question her? He was enjoying their playful banter, at any rate.
He nodded his own understanding to her reason for being out and about at this time of night- he didn't much like spending nights with his herd, either. Aside from his mother, he wasn't fond of any of the others that resided there... and Nahuel's snoring tempted him to kill the young imbecile stallion.
"Much the same. I don't fit in very well with the others that reside there." That was an understatement. He met her own eyes with a slightly softened stare. "Do you have similar problems?" He couldn't imagine a kalona being very well accepted by a group of normal soquili- he didn't mind- but he didn't think many others would allow it.

She shuffled slightly, "I am accepted as long as I play nice." she replied. "They treat me like family. Cyrus and all of them...though Erik stays clear of me, his daughter and I get into tiffs." she sighed. "They do not accept the full me, only partial...so its hard for me to stay their for so long."
"I like staying up at night though, it delights me...in more ways than one of coures." she smirked.

"I see." He nodded his understanding. He supposed he couldn't exactly speak ill of his herd, either (except for that idiot Nahuel, of course), as they accepted him, but they never made any specific effort to approach him. With his attitude, however, he couldn't blame them- for the most part, they just let he and his mother to their own devices.
One brow raised at her statement, suspecting he was missing something important from her deliberate omission. "What do you mean, 'only partial'? Is there another side to you I have not seen yet?" There was no judgement in his words, only curiosity. Who was he to judge what he knew nothing about?
Another grin accompanied her last comment. "And myself as well. I'm not much of a 'daylight' person."

She nodded, "My mother's side is the 'nicer' one as they say...when my father's kalona side shines through I'm shunned, thrown out or forced into some place forbidden to those who cannot survive." she replied.
"No one can handle the full me, so I have others on both sides..." she watched to him with a small smile as he mentioned he liked the dark too. He was peculiar, oh that he was. Though she couldn't quite why she had explained herself...it wasn't like her.
