THE WATER FIELD (Ai got lucky! >O )
Five large platforms float on the surface of the deep pool, four forming a diamond formation around the single platform in the center. While land pokemon can move around on this field, it was mainly built for water-types. Rules prevent the freezing of the water.

Luna bounced into the stadium like the usual hyperactive girl she was. "Hey Lixue!" She shouted to the other side of the arena. "Haven't seen you since the Inhinx event! How're you doing?"
Pidgeotto, perched on Luna's head, opened an eye to stare at the challenging trainer.

Lixue turned. "Oh hey Luna! Yeah it's been a few days." She tosses up Ai's ball.
Ai shot out and into the water with a splash.
"So.....lets see if we can make Ai stronger eh?"

"Yup! And maybe Pidgeotto'll get some more feathers pulled off in the process." Luna teased to her pokemon.
Pidgeotto gave her an annoyed glare and pecked her on the head.
"Owww! You meanie!" She yelled at the bird. "We're suppose to be attacking THEM! Not me! Gust!"
"Geooooo!" Pidgeotto replied, taking flight into the air and then, with a combined downstroke from both his wings, released a gust of wind at the water where Ai was.

Ai merely felt the gust attack buff her as she floated at the surface of the water.
"Ai, horn attack!"
Ai suddenly dove down beneath the surface and then shot upwards towards Pidgeotto.

Pidgeotto was startled when Ai suddenly popped out of the water to attack him. Being too low in the air, the seel reached the poor bird and badly injured his talon. Again.
"Pidgeotto, we can't let them get away with that, can we? Let's show them a twister!"
Pidgeotto, after getting away from Ai's grasps, started to fly around in circles. Slow at first but gradully gaining speed, the air around Pidgeotto started to form a twister. It tore through the water, sucking it up and tearing a path towards Ai.

Ai got sucked under and suddenly spit out and felt a bit dizzy, but appeared o have shook it off.
"Ai....Aurora Beam!...stop that Pidgeotto!"
Ai barked glee fulling and shot a powerful Aurora Beam towards the Pidgeotto.

Pidgeotto tensed at the move again. Oh how he hated that rainbow colored beam that striked fear in his heart. Once again, just like during his first match, it hit him square in the chest and causing him to flap wildly to regain balance.
"Let's not give up Pidgeotto! Give Ai a wing attack!"
Pidgeotto, now flying in the air easily again, started to dart towards the seel, wings glowing and ready to cut.

Ai caught the tail end of the attack as she dove back under the surface of the water.
"Ai....water gun!"
Ai appeared suddenly and shot a stream of water at Pidgeotto.

"Pidgeotto, try to stay dry!"
'Duh...' Pidgeotto thought. He flew up a little higher right before the attack hit so it would only graze his already-injured talons. He winced at the force of the water, but bore the pain.
"Alright, let's give them an air cutter!"
Pidgeotto flicked his wing while in midair quickly, creating a blade of wind to go towards the water where Ai was lurking.

Ai once again just got a bit buffed and on the head as she sunk beneath the surface again.
"Ai...try another Aurora Beam!"
Ai resurfaced and shot another powerful Aurora Beam towards Pidgeotto.

"Pidgeotto, let's break through this with brave bird!" Luna shouted. 'It's now or never Pidgeotto!'
A glint appeared in Pidgeotto's eyes. He flapped through the aurora beam, using his beak to deflect most of the attack. His body started to become covered in a white aurora of energy. In a way, he felt quite like his younger teammate, foolheartedly rushing into an attack to win. And he quite liked the feeling too.
A few inches Ai's face, Pidgeotto turned ninty degrees to another direction, but the energy seperated from his body, creating a sort of doppeldagger that continued in his place towards Ai.

Ai merely got a scuff as she dove down at the last second.
She then popped up quickly and horn first went after Pidgeotto since he was so close.
