Grey, Grey, Grey. His mind wandered a bit aimlessly as he stood beside the babbling water. Baldev knew that more in life mattered than the color of his coat and the way his hair sat, but nothing had come along yet to take that importance and minimalize the things that he’d been raised to care for. Two nearly colorless eyes gazed around, taking in what could be seen and sighing deeply. His brother, Harij, had yet to want to speak with him and Baldev couldn’t help but feel at fault. As a colt he had soaked up the attention instead of trying to get some for the brother that had been labeled as a reject. When your older brother is so aloof and cold, he becomes a hero. How was Baldev to know that the exterior hid pain… It was too late to know because then he had been gone.
Shaking out the long double-sided silver curls, Baldev looked down at the water and stared at himself. His eyes were iced out, just a hint of the blue that lay in his coat. He was a talkative creature, willing to talk to anybody that would come his way.. Yet none of them ever interested in more than just a few minutes of conversation. Usually mares threw themselves at him, not unpleasant… but not good.
Finally he dipped his mouth into the water, drinking deeply as if the water would be able to clear his mind from what thoughts plagued him.

Her eyes widened as she let out a snorting laugh, that could come across as cute. Cuter when she was a filly. She had never ridded of the habit. She looked to him, virtue? She shook her head...that wasn't it at all. Thats what the last one said, he wouldn't hurt her. These minor cuts weren't any better than the scars that had been left among her pelt. Her eyes narrowed as she pawed her way from those thorny brush. The way she reacted was more comical than painful, it was odd how he percieved it.
She didn't want him touching her, she didn't even know why he was talking to her and she let him know by giving him a bit of a confused stare. She padded out to the glade and trotted away from him to get her drink, keeping her eyes locked upon him. Her tail flicked as she lifted her head edging closer to him with the tilt of her head. She reared slightly, huffing. As if to say that was her boundary point, if he went past it she didn't mind prodding him with her own horn. Though her scar, physically was still there the emotional ones would still remain. Her ears flattened as she turned back to the water to taste some more of the ambrosial liquid. How she would love to drink it all if she could and wouldnt get bloated. She smiled at the thought, how fat she would be if she drank all the water. Grotesque really. She looked back towards the male in silence. She was waiting for him to leave like the rest of them.

His eyes narrowed at the widening and snorting of the other. Usually mares would squeal at him to go away or found several choice words of what they thought of him. Not really a normal occurrence, but once or twice it had happened. She was pawing the ground in agitation.. Well now, today had certainly thrown a curve ball at him. Far be it for him to deny the Gods the chance to confuse him. His body shifted, the henna on his sleek coat glistening and lighting up like ancient script changing as it’s read.
The look he was given was a mix between confusion and dislike. Huh, that was strange. Usually he got into conversation with other people before they didn’t like him. A charming grin came and stuck and Baldev cleared his throat, getting ready to speak yet again. Of course, that got cut off by her rearing at him. C’mon now, it’s not like molester was stamped onto the side of his horn. Rather fluffy feathers were tossed about as he pawed the ground and glared for a moment. Honestly, what had he done this time. “I don’t see what I did to get such aggression.. And it seems that either you don’t talk or you won’t talk to me… but … it doesn’t seem that nice.” Rather dull speech, but his mind was rather confused as to just what she meant by being all persnickety when he was being nice. Did he smell funny? No no, Nolee hadn’t been gone that long and Baldev had tried to get himself clean daily.
