Durithill the Black Blade Captain

To the normal eye, the Realm of Light appears to be nothing but a endless void of white, with the occasional appearance and disappearance of people. In reality, the entirety of the Realm of Light is composed of an extremely high frequency light that is not only solid, but impossible to distinguish to the normal eye.
Note: Only those able to use or manipulate the Light element can distinguish colors other than white in this realm.

Raithill blinked in surprise as they exited the dark void. The scene around him had changed drastically. In the span of a few seconds, they'd gone from outside their house to a bustling city. Raithill inhaled in surprise and curiosity, his eyes shooting around everywhere. "Mommy, let's go there!" he said, pointing at the biggest building he could see. It was the biggest around, so must have something interesting. He also looked around at all the people. He noticed humans, angels, and some other races he didn't know. He wondered it Rathios was one of the 'other' catagory.

"We will after, sweetheart." Raine promised her son with a smile. By the curiosity in his eyes, she figured he wanted down to run around and explore, however, in such a busy city, she would have to keep Raithill on a short leash.
Bending over to release her son, Shiero kept her hand around her son's smaller, more delicate one.
"We're going to go see Mommy's friend first, okay? We'll go explore afterward."

"Ok..." Raithill said, still looking around the city. He clenched his mom's hand slightly tighter, then looked up at her. "Where does he live?" he asked, looking around at all the buildings. He wanted to meet this Rathios.

"Just this way, sweetie." Raine replied with a bit of a smile, leading her child through the crowds slowly and carefully. From what Raine vaugely knew, Rathios didn't live too far away from their current position. Keeping Raithill close to her, Shiero meandered from the bust streets down a more quieter one. Approaching a rather large building, she glanced back at her son in search of a surprised, happy expression. The building wasn't nearly as big as the one her son wanted to enter into, but it was still quite large, which might thrill him that much more.
His home seemed to be more out of the way, rather righ tin the action of the regular busy life of the Light Realm. Ascending the staircase containing roughly ten stairs, Shiero pulled Raithill towards her again before picking him up into her arms and rapping her knuckles against the elegant-looking door.

Raithill's eyes widened as he saw the building. It was quite large, for a house. He waited quietly as his mother picked him up again and knocked on the door. There came the vague sound of someone moving stuff behind the door, then it opened to reveal a familiar angel. Rathios blinked, then blinked again, his face frozen in a look of surprise. "Lady Raine?" he said, his voice full of surprise. He then seemed to remember his manners and backed up, opening the door to let her in. With a now unimpeded view, Raine and Raithill could see that almost every inch of Rathios' house contained some sort of artwork. Everything from oragami figures to exquisite paintings adorned almost every available surface. Raithill's eyes widened as as stared around at everything in the house. He'd never seen so much art in one place. "I must say, it's quite a surprise to see you again." Rathios said, appearing to recover himself slightly.

A smile came to the woman's face as her old co-worker came into view. She didn't need to look down at her son to see the astonished look plastered across his innocent features. For she, too, was simply amazed by the artwork she was surrounded by the moment she stepped through the door.
"Yes, it has been a while." She said with the sound of amazement in her voice, her eyes travelled around the main foyer before landing directly on Rathios.
"By what I can see.. Your art work is--" Shiero paused, as if looking for the correct word to express her feelings towards the compositions displayed randomly.
"...Astonishing. I never would of thought you were an artist..."

Rathios laughed slightly. "I'm not." he corrected, offering Raine a chair that he hastily cleared of art. "You could say I'm a collector. Do you want anything to eat? You must be hungry?" he said, heading towards the kitchen. "After all, it is pretty early. Did you get a chance to eat breakfast before you left?" Raithill was still too amazed by all the arkwork to notice that Rathios was speaking.

Shiero laughed a bit.
"Well, I'm sure you have some pieces of your own if you collect so much.." Tearing her eyes away from the artwork scattered around the room, her eyes drifted towards Rathios whom was heading to the kitchen. Sitting on the chair he provided for her, Raine sat down politely, her son still in her arms.
"No, no. I'm alright.. Raithill may want something-- If you don't mind, that is." Raine replied before looking down at her son. He seemed to be amazed with the scattered compositions, as she was. Setting him on the ground to let him.. Explore a little, she leaned towards him and whispered something into his ear.
"Don't touch anything, okay sweetie?"

"Sadly, I never had much of a talent for art." Rathios replied from the kitchen. The sound of clinking dishes came from the kitchen as Raithill scampered off to look at tll the arkwork, making sure not to touch any. The sound of a teapot whistling, a few more clinks, and Rathios reappeared holding a tray with three cups and several biscuts on it. "I appologize, I'm so rarely at home during meal times that I often don't have much in the way of nourishment." he said, clearing a table and setting the tray on it. Raithill hurried over and began examining the biscuts, then picked the one that looked the biggest and started munching on it. Rathios cleared another chair and sat in it, causing the swords at his belt to clink together gently. His usual longsword was there, but underneath it he had strapped a katana in a plain black sheath. "So may I ask who you are?[/orange]" Rathios said, smiling down at Raithill. "I'm Raithill!" he replied happily, his mouth still full of biscut.

"Not a problem at all." She reponded with a smile as he sat, placing the tray down. The smile remained on her face as he began to speak to Raithill.
"My son." She said quietly, positive he had already guessed as much though. Reaching for the cups, she flipped each one of them over, pouring the hot liquid into two of them.
"Would you like some tea, sweetie?"

Raithill nodded and reached for one of the cups with his free hand. "Careful, it's hot." Rathios said with a smile. Raithill nodded again and blew on his tea before taking a tiny sip. "Again, I apologize, but I don't have any sugar on hand." Rathios said, pouring himself a cup. "I usually drink mine straight, and I don't entertain many guests. So what brings you here after all this time, lady Raine?" he asked, taking a sip of his own tea. His manners suggested that he was of nobility, despite his scholarly tendecies of 120,000 years ago. "Are you thinking of restarting the council?"

"No, no.." She responded with a little bit of a chuckle.
"The Realms are a peace, I don't think there will be any need for that at the moment." Another smile pressed her features as she wrapped her slender fingers around the warm, ceramic cup. Her eyes were downcasted into the warm liquid.
"I came to ask about a few things, you've always known much more then I have..." She said with a light, amused tone. Both Rathios and Durithill always knew more then she did..
"Do you know anything of the items Durithill left behind?"

"I wasn't there during his final fight." Rathios pointed out, leaning back slightly in his chair as he took another sip from the cup. "And since the council was disbanded, I haven't really had the opportunity to do research. But I have heard rumor of mystical artifacts that give the weilders extraordinary powers. At a cost." Rathios shifted his legs slightly, causing his longsword and katana to clink together again. "Mommy, what council is he talking about?" Raithill asked quietly, tugging slightly on his mother's clothes to get her attention. "And who's Durithill?" At this, Rathios shot Raine a quizical look over the top of his cup.

Feeling questioning eyes positioned on her, Shiero's eyes remained locked on the dark liquid in her hands. One of her hands, however, shifted towards her son, set over top of his in which were pulling on her cloths.
"In a minute, honey..." She replied quietly. She did not explain anything to Raithill as of yet, she would do so later when they returned home...
"Do explain.. Whom exactly has discovered a few of these items?" Her v oice seemed somewhat shaky, her eyes were positioned away from her former co-worker.
