Things had been quiet around the camp that she called home... Both of her children were off running on their own and her mate... Well, Nuka would be just fine if left alone for just a little bit while she went for a stroll.
Her walk through the woods brought her to a familiar spot; a spot that she'd called 'home' for the first part of her life. She smiled, closing her eyes for a moment. She could hear herself arguing with her brothers... The soft sound of her mother's voice... Her father's laughter. Had it really been all that long ago?

Beau quietly walked along, picking his way this way and that through the woods. For the most part beau had spent his time alone, never staying in one place often. He had a goal to see the world, to travel to places no others had ever been to. So far he had seen places that few would ever see, much less places one would think a horse of his size could fit into.
He followed where his hooves lead him, and now it seemed his hooves where leading him to the only place he had ever called home. His heart ached a little as he looked out across the meadow. He recalled the time his sister had run off and hid herself in the forest, the many talks with his father and mother. The playful times of his childhood with his siblings.
A smile pulled at the corner of his lips, that time seemed so long ago, so bright. Now as he looked through the meadow, things didnt seem as bright. He looked up at the sky and sighed a little bit, life was always different through the eyes of a child.
A movement to his left caught his attention ad he turned his head. There before him, like a vision stepping out of his thoughts stood his sister. She looked to him as she did the last time he saw her, young, raitent and full of life. He smiled and nickered a friendly greeting."Atsila!"

Her ears flickered at the sound of a voice... A familiar voice, even if it was one that she hadn't heard in ages. "Beau?" Her brow lofted slightly as she tilted her head up, fiery eyes meeting her brother's gaze as she grinned.
"Well Ah'll be... Ah didn't think Ah'd find no one out here. Didn't think Ah'd find someone either... But Ah'm sure glad Ah found you, stranger." She nickered softly as she trotted towars him, giving her head a light toss. "Ain't you a sight."

Beau smiled as he approched her, it was very good to see her again. As children they had all been fairly close and one by one had drifted off to their own lives. He grined at her and bent his head to lightly nuzzle against his velvet cheek. "Its very good to see you Sis, you look well." he chuckled.
He hadnt expected to come across anyone, much less a family member. Perhaps his hooves had lead him here for a reason, it certainly warmed his heart to see her. He wondered how their brother was doing, or their parents for that matter.

"Really?" She smiled brightly as she looked back at herself. "Always a good thing t'hear from someone y'haven't seen in a while." She nickered softly as she returned the nuzzle. "... Specially after havin' little'uns that're all grown up. You've been stayin' out o' trouble, haven't you?"

Beau smiled at her and chuckled. "Well, has that much time really flown by? I dont think I had even met your little ones have I? Last I heard from Momma you had a stallion you where with but I dont think ive met any of them." He clicked his tongue in thought, in his time alone he couldnt fathom how that much time had passed. Just yesterday he seemed he was a colt in this very medow. Had his brother had children as well?
"Well now dont I feel old all of a sudden." he laughed.

"Ah don't think you have... You'll have t'come 'round more often an' meet 'em." She nickered softly. "Ah've got a girl an' a boy... Every bit as spirited as th'rest o' th'family in their own ways. Sedi's doin' good... Made some friends and doin' his best t'find th'good sort o' trouble an' avoid th'bad."
She gave her head a light toss before looking towards the small clearing. "... We ain't that old yet. Da's older an' always will be... Six children an' two gran'children... Less you or Sedi have met anyone an' there's some Ah don't know 'bout."

Beau chuckled softly and nodded. "Yes, I suppose I shall have to come around more often. If only to spend time with my little sister and meet the others." He nosed her lightly, a sign of his brotherly affection. "I would like to meet my niece and nephew sometime. They all grown up then I take it?" He asked.
At the mention of their father he laughed and nodded his head. "Aye, he's old yet by far. But dont tell him that...somehow I doubt he'll ever be truely old, always the fighter and free spirit. Then again that goes for Ma' too. You seen her lately?"

She returned the light nose, still smiling brightly. "S'bout time you came 'round t'meet them... Ah keep tellin' them 'bout their Uncle Beau but it's their Uncle Sedi that's been 'round t'keep an eye on 'em an' get 'em into trouble... 'Long with their Uncles Wylie an' Dodger. Those boys grew up like weeds."
She nickered softly, trying not to smirk. "'Course Ah ain't gonna tell him that. If anyone's gonna get clucked at for callin' 'im old it ain't gonna be me... Haven't seen Mama in a while. Ah've been meanin' to wander out to the plains t'see if she's about... Have you seen her?"

Beau chuckled softly and shook his head. Their whole family it seemed had just sprouted over night. He could remember being a colt and running around the feild and even as a teen he'd come back from time to time. As an adult he followed where his hooves lead him, and this was the first time he had been back in a very long time. His eyes drifted to the sky with a soft sigh, his hooves had carried him far away from his family. It was about time he finally stopped by. Why he'd missed out on being the fun uncle while his sisters kids had grown into adults. Just how time flew.
He looked down at her with a smile and shook his head. "Yeah I wouldnt tell him either... wonder if I could get Sedi to say it. Known da' he might just let Sedi get away with it." he said with a hearty laugh. "Hmm.. Last saw Ma' about a month or so back. She's been helpin' care for her Nephews. Sister of her's pulled...well.. Pulled a Ma' and Da'." He said, pretty much summing everything up. He didnt really know much about his Aunts relastion ship to her stallion and preffered not to pry.

"Ah bet Sedi has said it... 'Least once or twice now, seein' as though Dah's got six o' us all grown up... An' mah two littl'uns on top of that." She nickered softly, giving her head a slow shake. "It's been quiet 'round here for the most part... Jus' waitin' for somethin' t'happen."
She listened to her brother for a moment, brow lofting slightly. "We sure got a big family, don't we? All these uncles an' aunts an' cousins an' kids... When d'you plan on settlin' down?" She smirked teasingly.

"Well now Sedi would be the one to say it outta all of us. " he said with a laugh, shaking his head lightly from side to side. "And knowin' da' he laughed it off and swore revenge later...and with Da' you never know whats comin'" he said, fond memories of his childhood dancing in his mind. Funny how returning home could make you think of things you hadnt in years.
"Settlin' down?" he looked at her with an expression that was akin to horror. "Naw.. that sort isnt for me. Follow my hooves where they take me."

"Sounds like you an' Sedi both got at least that much in common." She laughed as she shook her own head. "S'good t'see you again though... Glad your hooves brought you back here when mine did. It's strange bein' here again... Makes me think of when we was younger... You an' Sedi bein' boys an' me tryin' t'fit in with you too. Ah still say girls are just as good."

"So am I, sis. Its good to see you again. It would be nice to get together with everyone again but I think thats too much to ask. Haha our family is too damn big to hold all of us together in one place for long and we all like to wander and enjoy our free time to much." he said chuckling. "And yeah, girls are just as good sis... Pitty it took us awhile to see that. Imagine what trouble we all could have gotten into if you where 'one of the boys' when we where growin up."

"Oh, Ah don't know... Ah think Ah got into just enough trouble bein' a girl... Afterall, Ah met Nuka and Dah's just now started t'like him." It had taken them long enough to get along... Stubborn stallions.
"Ah do miss seein' Mama around every now and then. Ah wonder how she's doin'... And how you're doin'... Sedi's been around a bit more often though. Last Ah heard he'd made a friend o' some sort."
