As she stood by the lake she found herself torn between gazing up at the sky and glancing down into the waters where the sky was reflected in the rippling surface. In both places the twinkle seemed to go on forever... Such a beautiful night. Nice and peaceful... Winter would be coming soon. Winter and snow. Her second winter... Maybe this time she'd be allowed to romp around in the snow!

Gemini looked over the lake with a small sigh. The cool breeze danced over the water sending ripples over the cyrstal clear surface, the reflected stars and moon set to dancing on the lapping waves. A smile crossed his face as he watched them, a glint in his pale eyes.
The young stallion saw a flash of movement across the lakeside. His attention and curiosity peaked he quietly began to move around the large lake, making his way along the shoreline towards the other side.
Over all gemini was inbetween stages in his life. His ears where too large for his head and his legs where too long making him awkward and gangly. His body was long and narrow, not yet having grown into his adult form and not get lost his colt like apperance.

Her ears flickered slightly towards the sound of movement and she froze. The last time someone had approached her while she was stargazing she had wound up in the company of an odd mare and an even odder stallion. They had both given her things to think on that had guided her... Somewhat.
She shifted slightly on her hooves as her pale eyes fell upon... A very strange looking 'bird'. She smiled, giving her head a light toss as she nickered a greeting. Birds were, in her previous experiences, very nice if not a bit odd in their own ways. Kileyo-bird was bright and friendly... And Kal-bird was shy and quiet. She began to wonder what this one would be like.
"'Lo."

Pale eyes washed over the strangely colored mare. Yet as he thought he strange he couldnt help but chuckle, he himself seemed to glitter with the silver light of the pale moon, so he must indeed look strange himself. He offered a polite smile and dipped his head in greeting. "Hello" he said, as he lifted his head to look at her again.
His wings lightly folded against his back, he flexed them a little causing the feathers to shift and lay more comfortably against his back. He looked at her and tilted his head to the side softly. "How are you doing? Oh pardon my manners, My name Is Gemini. What may I ask is yours?"

"Guli." She smiled softly, bowing her head in an attempt at a 'lady-like' curtsy that came off as awkwardly charming... As if she were still trying to get used to the length of her own adult legs despite her naturally petite stature.
"Gemini... Pretty name." She murmured mostly to herself before glancing up at him. "Good. Doing good... Good night. You?" Her words were soft; still things that she was getting used to. So far, this was one of the longest conversations she'd had outside of family.

Gemini smiled at her and tilted his head to the side, causing his shoulder length mane to frame against his face and caress against his long neck. He watched her for a moment, she was a mare of little words but at lest it seemed like she was trying. "Pleasure to meet you Guli." he said with a smile. "Yes, tonight is a fine night. Not a cloud in the sky so you can see the heavens as far as you care to look. I enjoy that." feeling he was rambling a little and that this may make the mare of little words uncomfortable cleared his throat. "Um... So what are you doing out this evening?"

His talking didn't make her uncomfortable despite her lack of words. If anything, it reassured her that things were going well enough with her attempts... She was doing well with the lessons that Katarina had given her, even if she was still herself in using them.
"Doing?" She sighed softly, a wistful smile curving her mouth as she tilted her head to the sky. "... Watching stars. Making wishes... Thinking of snow." Pale eyes drifted back down towards the stallion. "... You?"

Gemini smiled at her and flicked his tail lightly against his side. "Ah well thats good miss, very good." he said, clearing his throat lightly. She seemed nice enough and didnt look as if she wanted to run away. So maybe she just didnt talk much? He smiled at her, her own smile conferming what he suspected.
"Snow? Have you seen snow then?" he asked her, curious about this cold stuff that fell from the sky. He had heard about it, but never witnessed it. "whats it like this...snow?" he asked her, though he had been told by his mother and father what snow was like he had found that different people could discribe things in a different matter.

"Yes." She nodded slowly, that smile remaining spread across her features. There had been lots and lots of snow when she and her sister had emerged from their baskets... Or maybe there had only been a little bit and it only seemed like lots and lots because of how small they had been.
"It..." She paused for a moment to think, tilting her head towards the sky as if trying to picture it falling from the sky. "... Is light and fluffy. A little cold but not too cold. Fun to roll in and run through... And catch on your tongue. Makes it seem like..." She took a deep breath, releasing it slowly. "... Like the stars are dancing down when it falls at night and the moon is full."

He listened silently to her discription and for a moment lost himself to his own imagination, Picturing a star falling from the sky, all glitter and coldness. It would dance down from the heavens like a feather drifting from a passing bird, lazily it would make its way through the sky only to finally touch the tongue of a young foal and the foal would squeek with glee and Jump for joy. Such was the dreams of stardust snow.
He blinked a little and shook his head, pulling his thoughts back to the present. It was funny how she spoke of snow, almost with a longing in her voice. A longing either for those fun times once again, or a longing for the snow itself. Whatever it was he hoped she found it one day. She spoke of snow in a way no one he knew had. They had been short and too the point with what it was, and her almost poetic day dreaming of the stuff made him more anxious to see it and expriance it for himself. "Oh, well that does sound very interesting. Do you think it will snow this year?" he asked her at length.

"I do... The air is getting cold. If you breathe deep you can almost taste it." She nodded slowly, closing her eyes to do just that. There would be frost on the ground come morning if it wasn't already starting to form now. "It's in the air... Waiting for the right time to fall to the ground."

Gemini tried to wrap his mind around what she was trying to say. Never experiancing snow himself, and her almost poetic telling of the white cold substance made him all the more curious to experiance it. He opened his mouth and sucked in a breath, woundering if there was some faint taste in the chilly air. The coldness slid down his throat and into his lungs like liquid crystal. Ice that cooled the blood and stilled the heart.
The chill was so cold it burned. He blinked a little as the sensation and puffed out his breath in a steamy plume. "Hmmm. Well, when do you suppose it will snow then? Tonight maybe"

"Maybe." She smiled, pale blue eyes shimmering as she turned to look at the stallion. "The snow always comes to the plains first... But it's so pretty to listen to when it falls in the forest. It brushes against the branches and dances to the ground."

"Oh well that does sound lovely... I wonder why people speak about it so negatively all the time." he said, wondering now because this entire time she had spoken of it with a longing, a wonder. He really wished to see this white substance now. He looked to the sky, stars glittered back at him from the cloak of night, yet clouds where slowly rolling in as the chilly winter wind bore them from over the mountains.

"Everyone..." She paused for a moment as she gathered her thoughts, searching deeply for the right thing to say. "... Everyone sees things differently. Or... Maybe I am just strange?" That wouldn't be the first time she'd heard that. Strange was something that she was quite used to being called. It wasn't often that she actually 'fit in'.
