Aite people! What's happening with the second Hellboy film? I know depressingly little about it.
Last I heard, Johann Kraus was in, John Myers is out. Looks much of it's background is European Folklore (which is great!).
Uh... Anyone know much more? I'm doing an appalling job of keeping track of thisun lol

Apparently Myers was only there as a bridge - a human for us to connect to, so new viewers could get used to all the supernatural and that. As everyone now knows who Hellboy is (or can just watch the first film to find out - god forbid they should be expected to actually read something...) he's not needed anymore... Which is a shame, he Was an interesting character - I'd like to see him in passing at least in the new film. ***Edit*** Oh Jeez, just seen the picture on Wikipedia of Krauss in the film - his costume's godawful.

I'm so going to see it. I thought it looked excellent. Myers, even though he had to kind of grow on you, was still a good character and its sad that he can't be in it.
But your right. Krauss costume is just awful.
Am I the only one who thought it was hilarious that Rasputin got beaten by a head in a jar?

You can't develope a character and then just forget him! Oh, Meyers, we will miss ye (sniffle).
That being said, the main villian kind of reminds me of Sepharoth (am I spelling that right?) from FF. I like the makeup, though.
Also, Liz's haircut is accepctible.
I also like the cliche lines Hellboy says. For some reason, he makes them sound good!

I've been playing the Hellboy 2 ARG, so I might be able to tell you something about it that the commoners might not know. 3nodding
The Sons of the Earth Troll (S.E.T.) have a pact with he humans and they stay separate. Prince Nuada, who appears in the trailer (the really white guy with the yellow eyes) is sick of it and he is trying to raise an ancient army that his father sealed away. There's an animated comic with voice acting of a young HB and Bruttenholm where Broom tells him a story about it.
Troll Markets will figure largely into the next movie as well. In the ARG, people who solved the puzzles were able to download ten pages of a BPRD guide to Troll Markets. It provided a history and bios on the folks who appear there. I might be able to post this later.

Siyahamba http://www.hellboymovie.com/ enter site with your sound on and place your mouse on Johann, you can hear his voice. It's very good. Yeah, can you believe they got Seth MacFarlane to do it? He's fantastic at it. I pictured Johann as having a slightly softer voice with a stronger accent, though.

I just got back from seeing it!! 3nodding
So~~ good!
It included a scene from BPRD 1 and well as a somewhat similar ending to the one in Hellboy 6. Poor Abe. He must be so lonely. And Hellboy and Liz... sweatdrop
Anyway, I loved this movie. Anyone else seen it yet?

Saw it! I loved it, too. I liked that Abe had a bigger part in it.
Seth MacFarlane was outstanding as Johann. I thought it was hilarious when he beat up Hellboy in the locker room.
I'm still humming that Barry Manilow song. gonk

The movie was epic win. Even my mother (who hates movies like this) though it was amazing.
I bought the art of the movie book. ._.;;
