Tell me what you think
The sky glows red in the sky as the sun lingers under the horizen, casting long shadows over the generals face. A young man who's face is still naive to the ways of the world he orders his troops foreward. His stocky frame is shadowed by the intimidating stretch of wall before him, of the city of walls, were if you get through one there is always another to take its place. He sighs and watches his army move foreward with futility. He turnes to his second in command his long black hair sweeping his face, he parts his lips and shows an uncharacter like firmness. "Tell them they must get through this wall before dawn, before the rest of the city wakes,"
"yes sir." and with that the sentry is off.
He paces his steps and waits as the twilight fades, then with a lions roar he starts his decent to the wall. In a mesmerizing unison the squads attack, one after another short burst of fire, intense fire batter the wall. Fire weakens stone, weak stone can be broken. All of a sudden boulders rain from the sky, but they are prepared. Metal umbrella's burts out of the crowd, giving momentary cover for the soilders. The general smirks, they can't be stopped. "Harder." He yells, and harder they pound. Fluid motions evolve into fluid fire. an inferno that can't be stopped. Then he see's it, an opening in the defense of his enemy. It could be a trap but he doesn't have the wisdom to notice those yet. He just knows he has to get through, he has to win this war. If not how can he return home, face his nation, face his brother. What would he tell his young son.
They charge through the widening crack in the wall, rage drives them foreward powering the fire they hold inside. But the walls are closing on them. How can he be so stupid. He stops short but he can't stop them. His men are caught and soon the kingdom before him slowly, painfully crushes and suffocates his troops. The men he had to lead, who trusted him with their lifes. He had lost men, but not like this. Not in a stupid move that a man of his position should never make. It then occures to him, he General Iroh had lost the wall. lost the battle. He had lost Ba Sing Se.
