Sango planted her feat into the gold ground of Snowdrop Mountains. She felt where the wind was coming from by her hair lightly flying to one side in the breeze. Gazing ahead of her at a patch of trees, she tightened her grip around her weapon. Then, she pulled back her arm and gained a tight balance, still looking at her targets. With one swift motion, she flung her massive and heavy weapon, letting it go and watching it twirl through the trees like a boomerang. It didn't hit a single obstacle, and came back to her in a perfect circular motion. She caught it in mid-air and twirled it in her hands. Perching it on her back where it usually rested, and turned and stretched her shoulders.

That was enough training for the day, she thought to herself. Father would've been proud... the thought couldn't escape her mind. Without warning, tears filled her eyes as she frustratedly tried to push them away with her hands.

He had been due for a break for quite some time now after locking himself away in a dusty, old room in his home. Vladimir stretched his arms over his head and arched his back until he heard the familiar pop. His arms dropped down again, and he sighed as the stiffness ebbed away from his body.

"That's the last time I stay in there for a week," he grumbled under his breath as he continued down the path before him. Yet, he knew he would be back in that room not too long from now to continue with his work. He hadn't made any headway on it and only had a handful of notes to show for his progress.

Sango decided to take a short walk around the unfamiliar area, just for a jiffy. After all, she should really be on her way trying to find her brother Kohaku. Now and again she took short stops to nibble at some food to keep her walking, or for a quick training session. Today she was feeling slightly content with herself. Her skills had been growing immensely lately.

A strong gust of wind almost pushed her off her feet. She could feel an unease in the wind today. It was as if she wasn't alone out here; but who else would wander around Snowdrop Mountains at this hour? Puzzled, she continued putting one foot in front of the other. Nothing could stop her from seeking her brother.

Sounds came at her from far away. Briskly she stopped in mid-step and twirled around, pulling her weapon out of its normal place on her back. She could hear soft footsteps in the snow, and they were coming her way. Sharpening her senses, Sango twirled Hiraikotsu (her weapon) in her hand and checked the speed of the wind. She wouldn't let anyone catch her off-gaurd.

As he walked around, taking a leisurely stroll to work out the ache in his joints, he frowned. Why couldn't he figure out the formula? He was certain there was a way to make it work, yet everything he had tried so far failed. Perhaps he was looking at it wrong or looking over some small detail. But trying to figure it out gave him a headache.

"A break is good," he mumbled, rubbing his head. After a break, he could look over the problem with a fresh mind. He halted in mid step when he spotted footprints in the snow. Someone else was here? Others rarely came over here. He crept as silently as possible, following the footprints to their owner.
