 Melhor was old enough to go out alone now. While his mother was always close in case of danger, the cub was able to go out SOME distance to explore-- Kabichi was protective, but not as protective as some parents-- she knew he could hide if need be, and yet, never mentioned she herself had been left alone in the world as a cub. Melhor, however, enjoyed exploring, often seeming to talk to the others nearby, curious to others, especially when Taichi was seperate from him--though this was not often! Today's exploration was a treat-- Kabichi was letting him play in the grasses, and Melhor was following a butterfly with giddy delight, dancing along with it as he played, happily. It was a brilliant day, really, and Melhor loved it.

 Ukoo was playing away from Mommy and Daddy again. She couldn't help it-she had her parents itchy feet and now, her dirty toes danced happily and skipped and had fun-cause that was what Ukoo did. She had fun despite the fact that she didn't sleep good at night cause she was seeing her Grandfather in her dreams and stuff had red stuff everywhere and sadness and pain.
But now she was happy and skipping and happy. She wiggled her hind end and pounced on nothing-chewing on stalks of plants and making her tiny baby chirp noises.
Today she was farther into the territory as usually aloud by her parents-but it was okay. Ukoo was having fun

Melhor batted at another butterfly, rumbling a baby purr happily as he dances about, then spotted movement in the distance. His ears went alert, and his curiousity piqued. Unlike his mother, he wasn't afraid of strange lions--why should he be?--and he blinked, padding for the stranger to watch her, and tilted his head.
"Hullo?"

Ukoo was waddling happily, her head held high and her tail wagging side to side. She skipped over too a bug where she pounced on it and laughed and was happy. Her head perked up and she made a tiny noise like a bird-and her red eyes stared at the stranger-the dark one. She knew that she wasn't supposed to talk to strangers-even though the pridelands were safe her mommy and daddy talked the rumor of a death and scarey big adults. She blinked, her paw lifting for a moment but this cub was her size and she wanted to play-so
She began to pad over too him-her little face alight with happy. She twittered and smiled and skipped on her way, her tail curling. Hi dere! She said, her little sweet voice like rain on the grass. She laughed and giggled

Melhor smiled, tail switching as he watched, smiling. He didn't know NOT to talk to strangers-- and she was his size! WIN.
"Hi! I am Melhor Pax, what's your name?"
He grinned.

Ukoo stepped up beside him and she smiled cause she had never seen that color-the blue sky color on a lion ever. She gawked for a minute-her tiny eyes wandering. He was really neat looking and his back had those marks like he was a birdy. She wiggled-I'm Ukoo... My name ish showta but dats okay She said, dancing around him.
She leapt around for a minute and laughed. Your a pwidelander aren't yous?

Melhor blinked, ears flicking attentively as be blinked. He didn't know there were outsiders to the pride-- except Grampa Bodaway! -- And this discovery intrigued him, as he watched Ukoo curiously.
"I am." He nodded. He slowly got up.
"Where are you from? Wanna play?"

Ukoo was happy cause she had never met a pridelander and she didn't' really see much of a difference. She giggled, looking around and not recognizing where she was. Oh well, she'd find mommy or mommy would find her. Ukoo had 11 cub family members and she didn't get alot of alone time and she loved to play alone cause no one bit your tail or cheated. This was a friend she could play with-forever.
She skipped around him and stuck her nose on his. I wash borwn over in tree's by da water.. She said, waving her paw over in the direction of what she thought was her home-the hollow tree and the waterhole where her grandmother liked to laze. Sures, I wanna plays but.... I gots to be carefuls cause Momma will be mad if I gets dirty or hurted

Melhor's eyes widened a bit-- he rarely went so far out, and the thought of water by the trees-- WHOA.
"I've never been there." He blinked in fascination, tail curling, then listened suprisingly attentively. Not dirty or hurt--got it! Unlike Taichi, he didn't play rough with claws and fangs if he didn't need to, and he nodded.
"What kinda game would you like to play?"
He smiled-- he'd never met an outsider before! This looked like fun....

Ukoo giggled and padded around him for a bit-her tiny tail wagging at the tip. She was pleased to hear that he didn't know about the water where her Mommy and Grandmommy played... and that she was a hidden family member of a hidden family. She smiled gleefully, looking the dark cub up and down and at his colorful feet. Her own feet looked as though she wore little dirty gloves-but his were colorful like the sky. She though it was really neat how his eyes matched-and his forehead.
She sat down and put a paw to her cheek. Games to play. Her brothers played rough and bite.... but... she liked to play chase games-and
Follows the leader! I wuv that game She said, her crimson eyes blinking. She stood up and walked in a circle, liftig her paws high.
Even in her horrible dreams, the ones with fear and blood-she could be a happy little girl.

Melhor smiled, getting up to follow, maw breaking into a smile. This sounded like fun, and the cub waited eagerly to begin, giggling, and even dancing a bit.

Ukoo immediatly began to trek around, her tiny head held high and her tail wagging. This was her chance to be the leader-usually it was her cousin Ila who was. She spotted some fallen logs not to far away and headed towards those. Climbing was fun-yes yes. She laughed aloud, bounding up too the tree and staring up at the incline. The tree leaned upon a rock, so that it wasn't that big of a slope but--- to Ukoo it looked like a chalenge and what better way to have fun was to be adventurous.
So up she began, her gloved paws grabbing the rough bark tightly. See... the leader does stuff that is fun fer' everyone

"Wooooow...." Melhor followed, claws sinking into wood as he climbed, following. He'd never climbed before, and a tiny grunting noise elicted from the cub's throat as he almost fell, then pulled himself up, looking very proud oif himself as he looked to Ukoo for the next move, smile still bright.

Ukoo laughed when he spoke. She didn't often get to play with someone who was nice to her-since most of her siblings had more stamina and endurance than she. Her seer dreams kept her awake-so sleep was something she didn't get-and sleep was when cubs grew the most. So she was smaller than her siblings too.
Carefuls... you don't wanna fall downs She said, turning to look over her shoulder. She then continued up the log, till she reached the part that leaned against the rock. She stood, her chest thrown out and red eyes shining in her glory. She gazed back at him. Wow... you can almost see all the stuff from up here's!

"Really?" Melhor blinked, scrabbling after Ukoo quickly. He rarely got playmates before either-- the male just didn't meet anyone. He moved next to Ukoo, looking around with wide blue eyes, drinking it all in. It was so big... So much bigger than he expected!
The cub was quiet, drinking it in.
