It's definitely the best driving game I've played, but it still has some faults.

Favor of Japanese cars: There have been times when I've raced a much higher performance car against a lower performance model. An example would be a 350Z against a Dodge Viper SRT-10. Even though the Viper handles better, has 200 horsepower more, and weighs less, it can't catch the 350Z. I get a GT-R, and I'm able to beat the Z with no problem.

Lack of Non-Japanese cars: The Japanese segment in this game makes up almost 1/2 of all the cars. The American market is hardly represented, and they don't have some very important cars (The early Mustangs, the McLaren F1 street car, and the BMW M3 (first gen).

Ability to paint your car: I'm not asking for body kits or anything like that, but the simple ability to change the color of the car (and the rims too) would be nice.

Other than that, I love the game. Just wish I could backflip the CLK-GTR (It has the old Le Mans track with the hump and it's the same car biggrin )

You do realize the power and handling of those cars are basically determined by entering stats into a computer that then gives them speed and handling characteristics, right?

It's possible the track you were on wasn't suited to the Viper.

It's El Capitan, a track were in an AE86 I can beat a Saleen S7, so I think it's not that. What about an Lotus Espirit, it couldn't even touch the Z.

Wouldn't the fact that you can beat an extremely powerful car with a small underpowered one make the track even more of an obvious answer?

I'm not denying the Viper handles well, but it's still extremely hard to control because of the massive amounts of throttle oversteer. A car like the 350Z wouldn't even come close to having that problem.

All I'm saying is that in reality a 350Z wouldn't keep up with a Viper, not counting driver ability.

With a car like the Viper, driver ability is exactly what makes the difference though. That car can pull crazy lap times, but only if the driver can handle it. It's hard to get that level of control (Especially with the throttle) ona video game controller.

I guess what I'm saying is, I agree.

if it was straight on drag or a high speed circuit, the 350 has no chance, but i think in a tactical track such as some time attack tracks, the 350s got it, But as Rabi said, it depends on the driver's "Fast and the Furious" skills XD

Heh, I never use a car that powerful for drifting, guess I still like some grip biggrin

For me, it's about the 'Cuda, with 700+ hp and 205 mph top speed, it's a beast, and can whoop an SLR. I'll get pics after I finish the 1000 miles! championship race.

Yeah, they aren't exactly the best films, but I never did like em for the people (I ABSOLUTELY LOATH THE 2ND FILM).

Right now my best car in that game is a lightly modified Mazda Miata.
