Taking in a slow deep breath, the black and white mare drank in the cool autumn air, remembering once more who delicious this season could be. Why had it taken her so long to explore the forest once more? Ah, yes, she had been too busy with the children and her family life.
Sighing deeply, returning the breath she had taken back to the air, she stepped forward and into a slow trot, relishing in the strain it put on her muscles. She needed to excercise more. Sure, Caelen and her still plyed often enough neither of them were chubby, but she wanted to bring back the amount of muscle she'd had before and there was no harm in beginninng such now.
She chuckled softly as she trotted, allowed her long white tresses to flow behind her, taking amusement in the thought that it could go into her eyes--until it actually did. Snorting and tossing her head to clear her vision, she continued on, determined.

As the mare trotted down the path, she allowed her mind to relax to the sound of the leaves crunching underfoot. A recent rain had left them soggy, their bright colors half-warped with the brown of decay. She didn't mind, however, it wasn't as if the leaves would never come back again.
Black ears flicked back and forth as she stepped, careful to keep an eye out of anyone and anthing that could be out there, a remnant of the days when she had been forced to chase after her sons as they careened about the landscape. She let a fond sigh bubble out of her, they were too much like their father sometimes.
A toss of her head once more and she stilled those thoughts. Today would be about her, not the worries and tribulations of the early days. She was here to be with herself, not digress, so why didn't she pick up her pace?
