Shinobi-iri..the art of stealth amongst other things, Kuyoja was frowning as he looked down at the name that was on sheet of paper. Nibal. DNA: Poison arrow frog. He wondered about this student. Learning Shinobi-iri was difficult and required a lot of patience. He would have to see how this child turned out and he most likely would require multiple lessons before really grasping the technique.

Like many times before his name was scrawled in white chalk behind him. His wore no shoes and merely had wraps around his feet. He was now working on bandaging his hands trying to make them tight but loose enough to not cut off blood flow. He would take the child to a rock wall, and try to teach him the basics of climbing silently.

Nibal had been startled that morning when P'las had thrust a slip of paper into his hands and said something about having arranged for a private lesson. The boy now stood in the middle of the hallway, staring at that slip of paper, then looking up at the room numbers on the doors around him. "I wonder who this guy is..." The boy mused aloud to his dragon, who ignored the boy. "Must be new. I've never heard of him."

Finally, the pair found the room they were supposed to go to. Nibal entered to see a man standing in the middle of the room. "Mr... Kuyoja..?" The boy asked, eyeing the name on the paper and probably butchering the pronounciation.

Kalseru gave the man a swift lookover, then sat next to her boy's feet. This should be interesting....

Kuyoja looked up at the sound of Nibal's voice. "It is pronounced Ku-yo-jya, though you will be referring me as Mr. Tsuzuki." He corrected the student before reaching out for a pencil and writing something down on the ever present paper in front of him.

"You are on time. We shall not waste it. Tell me what you know of the shinobi-iri arts." He asked looking over the student, his voice was even, calm. Even when he had corrected the child there was something very patient about his tone. Finishing the wrapping on his left hand he collected his clip board and stood up. Looking over both child and dragon, the child was very tall. He jotted the note down on his paper.

"Oh, okay." Nibal stated, muttering the name correctly and then the teacher's preferred name. He blinked at the man's abrupt start, then paused. "I dunno about that, but my dad said this was something to do with being sneaky. And quiet." Probably because my sister's loud enough for the both of us... Nibal thought to himself with a small grin.

Kal wasn't exactly fond of being ignored, but decided that if the man was going to ignore her, then she'd just ignore him. And so she glanced up at her tall boy, who reached down to pat her for a moment.

Kuyoja nodded his head and then gave a nod to the green dragon. So different, if was interesting to see how the children varied so differently from each other and the dragons were equally as intriguing.

"You are correct, Shinobi-Iri is the art of silent movement, as well as concealment, evasion and numerous other skills." he embellished on the subject.

"Today you will be learning how to first do stealth walking, and then we will move to the rock wall if your first assignment goes well." he said taking down some more notes.

"Like all the children I teach and be teaching I want you to relax, ask any questions that come to mind, as well wear proper attire. Today you are wearing suitable clothing. And I see you do not wear shoes, so we shall move towards the rock climbing room in a moment. Tell me first. What skills do you have already in this field?"

Nibal grinned as the teacher explained what he'd be doing. That sounded like a lot of fun! "Ah, okay." He glanced down at his feet for a moment. With his long toes, shoes were pretty much impossible. Not that he really cared. he didn't like them anyways.

"Mr. Solon taught me how to climb walls." Nibal informed his teacher, bouncing a bit in excitement. "I can use my fingers and toes cuz they're sticky." He held up his hands and wiggled his fingers. "We climbed up the building. Well, up to P'las' office to surprise him."

Kalseru twitched as Nibal suddenly started hopping in excitement next to her. "Calm down..." she muttered at the boy.

An eyebrow was raised slightly. The child was taught how to climb the side of a building? He would have to check up on the other teachers to see what was considered suitable to teach. Especially this Mr. Solon....

"I see.." he merly stated, "So you will have an advantage that most others won't. We shall proceed to the gym. Your dragon is more than welcome to join us." He continued moving towards the door, the most notable thing though also the most subtle was teh fact he barely made any sound as he walked.

"Explain to me, how sticky are your hands and feet?" He asked though not sounding curious he merly needed the information for his clip board.

Nibal grinned and followed along behind the man, his dragon following along behind him. "Well... pretty sticky. I can use them to hold myself on the wall for a while. And sometimes I have problems with things sticking to them..." It had taken him a while to learn how to start holding things without applying pressure with his fingertips, which were the stickiest parts.

He would be hard to disarm...Kuyouja thought to himself whilst they walked towards the gym. It was a short distance but nonetheless the teacher was silent as he walked. There was an aura of calm around him, nothing seemed to really ruffle his feathers.

Opening the door he entered the room and flicked on the lights. The rock wall was to their left, a small gym area to the right.

"Now...I want you to tell me what you think the art of stealth walking requires." He asked as he went to stand in the center of the room.

Nibal frowned as he thought over the question posed to him. "Hmm... walking quietly... not stomping your feet... and not stepping on stuff?" That made sense, right? The boy was more eager to start climbing the wall, though.

"Correct. It is also being aware of your surrondings." He replied as he then went to bend his knees.

"Now follow my movements." he instructed now that his knees were bent, his arms 'floating' at his sides, "Maintain balance control by allowing your body weight to sink and be carried by deeply flexed knees." he said as he took a step forward silently.

"Remember to breathe along with your movement. Unconsciously holding your breath can unknowingly produce unneeded muscle tension, and could result in gasping release of breathe if you are startled or accidentally unbalanced." He continued as he took another movement.

"Now I want you to try. It may feel awkward at first, but you will find having a centered body will help keep your movements quieter. And in a moment i will be setting up pylons in the room and then will be turning off the lights. Tell me can you see in the dark?" he asked standing up and rolling a wrist.

Nibal copied the teacher's movements, wobbling for a moment before he got accustomed to moving in that fashion. "Huh?" Nibal asked, startled by the seemingly random question and he nearly lost his balance for a moment. After he'd gotten balanced again, he answered. "Oh, no. I can't see in the dark..."

Nodding his head slightly in approval at the kids first attempts he then went about setting up the pylons he had mentioned earlier. He set them up easily in a straight line evenly spaced apart.

"Good, then this excercise will be of use to you. You will learn to move slowly, and weave aroudn the pylons in the dark without knocking them over." he said going into position again to demonstrate as he closed his eyes.

Moving forward his hand were positioned one beside him and one in front of him, his fingers brushing along the pylong gently as he then moved around it quietly. Once he had made it down the line without fault he then opened his eyes and faced his student.

"You will use your hands to guide you...it is essential to not let your eyes be your only guide. Now go to one end of the line. If i hear any sound I will flick the lights back on. You understand?"

He was supposed to walk around in the dark and not make a noise? Nibal nodded, though he had some reservations about his ability to do as the teacher was requesting. He slowly moved towards one end of the line, gently brushing it with a fingertip to get his bearings.

When the lights flipped off, Nibal started to move... very slowly. His other arm was outstretched to find the next pylon. His arm groped about when he thought he had reached the next one, but he felt nothing. The boy started to move again and stumbled and paused, hoping that the teacher hadn't heard him. He relaxed as his fingers then brushed against the next pylon.

Kuyoja did hear the stumble, but was a nice man at heart. Only having the child's best interest in mind he didn't want to discourage him so early on. Though if NIbal knocked over a pylon he would be forced to flick the lights back on.

Being human he had no natural ability to see in the dark. HIs ears appeared alven merly from a birth defect, and didn't enhance his hearing at all. He was a patient man and would probably remain so for the rest of his life.

"I will be timing you as well." he called out into the darkness. "You have five minutes to get as far as you can. Remember though, this isn't a race. I would rather you be slow and make no sound than risk knocking the pylons over." he continued.
