and I'm not talking about anything smaller than a size 16 and even 16 is on the SMALL side....
there are those of us, how shall I put it.....full figured, volutpious, fashion forward individuals who see not just 2 digit numbers on their clothing tags but clothing numbers in the 20s...... I was wondering if there are any other J fashion larger girls out there... or am I the only one.....?

I love Torrid, but I did lose some weight which resulted in me being a size 14. Sometimes I have to get a bigger size since certain brands make their clothing differently.

RavensWrath I wish I had your confindence. crying it's not confidence......I just think skinny girls=not as pretty..... there are some exceptions....but they usually have like no shape to them.....and they look like their going to break or blow away... that isn't attractive...*shrug* I'm on a personal one woman campaign to spread the love of bigger girls cause bigger girls have been over looked or made fun of or excluded from high fashion for TOO DAMN LONG.

When I weighed more a few years ago, I found some cute things to wear on Alloy.com. Hmm...
I think I just had to spend lots of time shopping around and trying on different things! It's kind of difficult to find stylish plus size clothes sometimes.
My advice? Sewing machine. Designing your clothes is so much fun. <3

I think bigger women women with curves are so much prettier. SO many girls look like 12 year old boys and most find it 'pretty'. In my opinion, curvier girls in Decora are absolutely gorgeous. But it is easier to find clothes when your a size 2.
Im glad to see so many women have confidence here though. Even the sticks have so many self esteem issues.
Im a bit on the scrawny side even though I eat like a pig. But my problem is my boobs. Im a size 1 but I have 34 D. I can never find sirts that fit. If they fit my body then they are constricting my chest. If they fit the boobs, they are too big... Damn my mums genetics -_-

One of my best friends has this problem too; she's more curvy than what most brandname J-fashion allows. Hell, even I'm a seven/nine and I have a problem finding a size in brandnames, mostly because asian women run in small sizes smile The brands that carry lolita, gothic, decora, gal, anything pertaining to J-fashion have started considering the fact that their style is getting world recognition and only recently have they started opening their borders and exploring the international community's interest. I'm sure as time goes on and they gain a more solid basis in the world they'll begin considering the different body shapes of the world too. smile In the meantime, hang in there!
I could maybe suggest, if you can't make them yourself, that you commission a professional to complete one of your original designs for you! biggrin That way you can say you designed it whee

(ok I'm a poor broke baka crying ) If you're serious about purchasing a sewing machine, I would buy one sometime during the holiday season while they are on sale. The day after Thanksgiving is a pretty good sale day, if you're an American and if you have the time to wait in long lines. Other options include eBay and garage sales.
I'm not sure what you mean when you say the machines were '******** up.' Maybe the settings needed to be adjusted slightly, and that is something you can probably teach yourself how to do, right?
Good luck! :3

My mom calls me fat and I'm a size 7 Dx But, really, I don't care if someone's bigger. It's just the scaringly-skinny people that freak me out!
I'll notify you if I find any plus harajuku-like stores around...Hot Topic is expensive!
