Fero walks into the trees with his usual almost strut. He'd left his little human in an inn where he was too large to be allowed in the fenced area that griffons were usually given. That of course was fin by him, he hated fences. He ruffles his feathers a bit, clicking his beak as he heads to where he can smell water. A drink woul be good now, then, some hunting was in order.

Wow, the water was colder than she had thought. Still, it was more than enough to keep her alert and buzzed with energy. Setsumi trotted out of the wild stream, shaking her pelt down from beak to tail. Even so, buds of water remained on her feathers, glistening on the rainbow wings. With tails swishing confidently behind her, the gryph moved over the pebbles to the short grass. At least there she could lay down on more comfort. And out of reach from the wind blowing past the trees.

Fero gives his wings a good flap before folding them tight against his back and crouching lower. There was one problem about being larger than average gryphs. Trees had branches that seemed to be a lot lower for him. Getting nearer to the scent of water, he now also catches the scent of another gryph. He crouches just a bit more, making his way through the low branches towards both scents.

Ears pricked upward at the sound of branches being disturbed. What was that? The gryph tilted her frame to peek at the trees while staying where she stood. Another gryph, it smelled like. All Setsumi could do was wait to see if the other would come or pass. So, she sat down on her haunches and began to groom her shoulder feathers.

Fero finally gets to the stream, crouching down to drink some of the nice cold water. He keeps his ears perked, listening around as the other gryph's scent is very strong now. Looking up again, he clicks his beak a bit as he scans for any sight of them.

Setsumi lifted a brow as the other was finally revealed. My, that had to have been the biggest gryph she had ever seen. Her head shook with a clacking of her beak. She was surprised the other didn't see her, when she was but a few feet away, tucked in a bushy corner. Hello there.

Fero turns his head over at th greeting instantly. His feathers ruffle a bit as he feels a bit blind for not noticing her over there sooner. Of course, being the cocky male he is, that expression on his features is gone as if he never bristled in the first place. WHat'smore, is that it was a female over there. He takes a step before striding over, his usual strut just a bit more promounced as he gives his own greeting in return. Pardon my intrusion, is this your stream then?

Setsumi cooed a chuckle to the very idea. I think this is nature's stream, no one else's. She shook her head, the short feathers on her neck ruffling in volume. A brow lifted to the other gryph, amused by his choice of walking. Was this a show-off, or just plain proud? So, what would your name be? Hmm? She remained settled on the grass, much too comfy to move.

Fero takes his opportunity to walk closer, before seating himself on the soft grass. Name? The little human I travel with calls me Fero. What would your name be then? He flicks his tail a bit, studying the female's unique coloring and markings.

Ears pinned gack in some strange consideration. Human, huh? She was too wild set to be in the ranks with them. Maybe befriend them, yes, but not team up with them. Setsumi, that's what I go by. Head tilted when the other sat as well, but still managed to loom over her own size. Sheesh.

Fero studies her carefully, gaging her reaction to the word 'human.' Yes, human. He makes a very pleasant noise. Giving a quick fluff to his feathers, he crosses his front legs to get a bit more comfortable. Setsumi, is it? Then, pleasure to meet you.
