I used to post more on the Gaia main forums, but I'm feeling deterred recently. It was kind of fun to be able to communicate with so many people, but the system is kind of getting me down. What I mean is that there are all these rules about what goes where and you have to read about 5 pages of rules before posting. Several times now, even though I've read through all the rules, I've had my post deleted (though I can understand why sort of).

It's just kind of frustrating...so I'll probably post almost exclusively here from now on instead of in the main boards. The rules here are a little simpler. xd

Does anyone else feel the same way about the main boards? Differently? Discuss.

I don't post in the main forum anymore either. Rules aside, I simply have the problem of not finding anything relevant to read/discuss about in the main forums anymore. I'd rather not dig through a bunch of mindless childish banter, even the few serious threads out there start to turn that way eventually anyway.

Oooh I hate that! I actually find it really depressing to have my thread moved/deleted in the Gaia forums (Silly, I know). Especially since some threads could go in multiple forums. Also, people lack a sense of humor there. I posted a Petition for more Petitions as a joke and got some snarky message about how inappropriate my thread was and therefore why it was being deleted- oy vey!

That's why I like this guild so much. While Doressa is very nice about setting up lots of fun sub forums (check them out!), nobody gets bent out of shape if you post in the wrong forum here.

3nodding Also, we try to keep the rules simple. The stickies for every subforum of Gaia can sometimes be redundant. I did slap rules on the writing subforum, but mostly so people could have more artistic creativity--but in a manner that won't "Traumatize" other guild members.

I second that notion. I find the threads I like in the main Gaia section are the ones that never move, or move so swiftly I cannot feasibly keep up.

Just remember to both of you that if the Main forums have you down feel free to post to your heart's content here. Feel free to scan through past pages and find out some of our old threads/topics. Feel free to start new threads, or browse the subforums.

I'm very glad that both of you are already regular posters and hope you can remedy the Gaia blues by finding something to chat about here.

heart heart for the guild I randomly found in the directory which turned out to be so cool. biggrin

I'm only afraid I might overpost and scare people off, 'cause I have a tendency to go crazy sometimes, especially when I'm bored and procrastinating on homework. rofl

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels sad when their threads are deleted. I had a thread I created that I thought was unique enough in the style one about my specific case but it was deleted and I was told it was supposed to go under this certain sticky thread. It's a madhouse out there. I guess that's because Gaia is huuuge nowadays. I'm glad we have a smaller place to call home. whee

What, you mean you don't want to hear about how a 13 year old is seeking a BF/GF 4ever <3 <3 <3 !!11!?

Isn't it why we are here? We don't have to hear about under 21 year olds gabbing about their little lives or trying to look or find BF/GF. It's like they life is falling before them and how mommy and daddy just doesn't understand. I do agree we are all free here and comfortable with each other so talk away. Geez I love this guild, don't you? heart

It's good to have a haven away from the....idiocy of General Discussion.

As appealing as it is for a 12 year old pink haired little nosepicker to ask if i want to be her bf and then follow that with demands for virtual nookie... wait, no. That's not appealing at all!

That was in no way in reference to your lovely head o' pink, btw. No offense if any.

I'm not gonna dock the under 21eys too hard, though, since I was under 21 just a little more than a month ago. xd

I'm not dockin' all the kids out there. But you gotta admit, there's no shortage of little brats and haters out there.

There's definitely a lot of more mature folks there. Just gotta sift through the lame ones.

What is this "main forum" you speak of? wink

I rarely venture outside the guilds unless there's a holiday event or similar (like the water balloon fight, Christmas Party, etc.). I just as soon not venture there, because I don't know what or whom I'll find. xd

This is my favourite place to post too! I know I'm not around very often, though, I have to share the computer, so don't get a lot of time to use it....
