So Twinjet Inversion had it's first jam a couple of weeks back. We rented a practice room at a local music store (Great Idea btw) for a pretty cheap price and we got 3 hours of playing in. The room was soundproofed so I was able to turn my amp up to about 5 or more. The thing rocks! I was really surprised by the tone I was getting when I could turn the thing up because at a lower volume I was really disgusted with the amp. I was considering selling the thing but it cranked out sound like nobody's business.
So, I guess, my topic has to do with turning your amps up. Have you ever had the opportunity to crank your gear and found something you didn't know was there? (And you can talk about feedback too xd )

I had an amp once that was massively loud. Only twice did I turn it to half volume (master and channel volumes set to 5). I stood as far away from it as the cord would let me, with a closed door between myself and the amp. The house shook and it was glorious.

I agree, some amps sound like crap until you blast 'em. Mine sounds good at all levels, but it starts shaking at anything above 5.

i have a very large, and very loud amp. usually, i play with it not even up to 1, and mom still tells me it's too loud. one time, my friend turned it up to 7 without me knowing, so i hit a chord and almost blew my house up.

I could just imagine the sequence in my head: you plug in, get the pick up ready to play and the camera pans to the outside of your house and BOOOM! By the way, what kind of amp is it?

I've got a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and this thing is loud as hell, I can usually play in the attic with closed doors at 1 and half. It sounds great but not like when I'm jammin and can crank it.

I just got a new amp, and I have not had any chance to crank it up. I still haven't been able to put it louder than 2 (It starts at 1 though, so it's basically around . cool . 50 WATTS OF TUBE!
